Thanks. You most likely don't need a new spring. Since the spring usually breaks at the end, where it clamps on the housing, you only lose a few millimeters. Just bend a new clamp carefully and you'll be fine to reuse the old spring.
Impressive. Love your patience to be able to make a roadside repair AND take the time to record it and explain as you go Do I hear a Bavarian accent? German or Austrian maybe?
Das beste Tutorial dazu das ich bisher gesehen habe. Super gemacht
Danke - wir freuen uns, wenn es geholfen hat!
Veeery nice job! True mastership gets visible in roadside repairs! 🙏💪🤗

Thanks - we thought that might be useful for people out there having trouble with their cam chain lifters on tour.
Amazing. It's one thing to remove and re-insert the tensioner. It's a whole other level to fix the spring inside the tensioner!
Thanks - one doesn't have another choice in the middle of nowhere. And once done, it's not even a big thing anymore ;-)

Should you rotate the engine to the top dead center T mark first or does it matter when you do this repair?
You don't have to rotate the engine.
