Definitely. You gotta miss that time when everything was just right. We grew up with great music, great movies, and a pretty alright social situation. Then the world hit us after about 2014. That sound about right? Wish I could go back. A driver's license ain't worth the crap going on nowadays.
these movies were literally my entire life. the first one came out when i was 10 and you can imagine the impact it had on me. still some of my fav movies of all time along with the hp and mcu movies.
Same, I literally can not remember the first time I watch httyd 1 but I know I must have loved it cause I know have pretty much memorized most of the species and can say some the lines from 2 as they are about to be said
I remember when this movie came out, my brother and I got an old composition notebook and drew a dragon on it and started our own dragon log. We went around our neighborhood looking for cool rocks and prickly plants, we called those the eggs. We looked around everywhere trying to find some proof of dragons. I long for that feeling. I want to feel it again. I want to exist in that moment again. I still have that little bit of hope that dragons exist and we can coexist alongside them like they do in the movie.
I feel the same way and even Though everybody I know tells me they are not real I know deep deep down a feel know one els can Feel that they are real and like in they movie waiting for us to except them into this world. This day will be repeated in my head on. Every way it could happen. In life this shows never ever give up and change yourself for other people because who knows what is at the end of that line of where everybody goes that never lost hope or changes themselves for humanity. This will forever live on in my heart even though my brain might tell me differently. Let God bless u and your family😊😊😊
i agree although the only time i can remember watching it and i think it was my first time seeing it was 2016 with my bestfriend. it was such a great time
SPOLIER ALERT - espedially in the 3rd movie when all the dragons leave, and also the 2n movie when Stoick dies, I've seen these movies so many times and yet I still cry during these scenes and try to think of an alternative way that it could've gone 😭
There is something about the How To Train Your Dragon franchise that I can't explain... it makes you feel so good inside -- it helps you escape reality
when i watch the movie i feel free... and my family always says "why are u watchin this movie againnn" well i just said they dont understand how happy and free i feel while i watch the movie it just makes all my problems go away for an hour and a bit and man idk how movie's can make me feel this way...it never gets old and idc what people say that "its just a movie" well i still want to believe there are dragons- hidden world or not...i believe in the freedom and love between animal and human thats why were in the same world for a reason...
This soundtrack is like travelling to a world that never existed, and yet, it does exist in our hearts. It makes us long for a time that never happened, for a freedom that only these movies could offer to us, the idea of letting go of all the real world struggles and settling into the life of vikings and dragons, the connection with the characters, the scenery, the music. The happiness, the sorrow, the terror and love was the same for each and every individual that stuck along side this franchise throughout the years. Goodbye, How to Train Your Dragon. 9 long years well spent. We will all miss this.
Beautiful words, if you want more of the dragons there are TV Shows on Netflix - one is for little kids (Rescue Riders) so it is a nice intro for your mini me’s
A theory I have regarding these movies and the impact that they had, is that the reason they resounded so much with the children who watched it when it first came out, is that the protagonist, Hiccup, grew up with them. Each movie showed him struggling with things applicable to their age. First, finding your unique strengths and fitting in, second establishing your place in a world where you learn that the adults all around you are as flawed and helpless as you are (and of course loss of a parental figure). And finally, with the last one, at the age that sees many of those initial children as young adults (along with Hiccup), we explore themes of letting go and moving on. Be that moving out, moving away, losing childhood friends or just change in general. These movies are beautiful.
May the How To Train Your Dragon series Rest In Peace in Valhalla May Stoick dance with his long lost wife again May Gobber stand by his best friend’s son and protect him with his life May Snotlout appreciate the little things and not have to live up to his father’s expectations May the twins never lose each other and always find the good in the bad situations May Fishlegs use his brain to be someone more than he is now May Astrid open herself up despite the risks and perhaps learn from the pain it may cause May Hiccup learn to trust himself and his capabilities and once more have a full family May Toothless and his family never have to hide away in fear of humans May we all find peace and don’t think of ‘what if’ but of ‘what was’.
Yes I love all these amazing, emotional comments and yes, do check out the 5 special episodes and 8 seasons of httyd tv series and the book(there are a bit differences in book series tho, skip it maybe)and I will say once, this franchise will always be one of THE BEST TO HAVE EVER EXISTED!! This song makes me soo emotional, long live berk! Hail dragons!
Reading all these comments really helped me. I thought i was a weirdo because of crying and feeling attached to this saga... but I've found people who feel exactly what I feel. I am full of joy. We miss you Toothless, we'll never forget you.
@@leviheichou305 Amen to that! I will never forget those days. This trilogy was my whole childhood. Whenever I felt sad or alone I always went to my room and watched one of the movies. Best feeling in the world. I’m glad I’m not the only one!
wonderful nostalgia!! I remember as if it were today, the emotion of watching the saga for the first time, the laughs, the shenanigans, the romantic scenes of Hiccup and Astrid causing outbreaks kkkkk I miss the time when I made my whole family watch Toothless. You're definitely not the only one, forever "How to Train Your Dragon". 😍😙
I think the reason this makes us cry is because it reminds us of when we were kids? The music is so powerful and the memories are so strong you can feel them. Every note carries the magic of your childhood - when rustles in the grass could’ve been scaly creatures, when clouds passing over bright stars could’ve been glossy wings. Every note takes you home. You’re reminded of simpler times, times when the world wasn’t so heavy on your shoulders. Times when the sky was big and people were kind, and you had the freedom to just imagine. Times when there were dragons.
When the third movie came out in theaters, I begged my parents to take me to see it. I was in tears throughout the whole ending and when I left the theater... I realized that it was the end of an era. I wasn't exactly a kid anymore. I'd been watching the movies since I was five years old. I ran around during recess at school pretending I was Astrid flying around on Toothless. Over the years I learned to appreciate the story and the characters and the MASTERPIECE that is How To Train Your Dragon. It holds a special place in my heart and I hope that it always will
I spent 9 years with such a masterpiece and yes I sure hope that my heart will hold the masterpiece for life I know it will I sure hope the same goes to you bud
We all cried in the end, man. It was beautiful yet heartbreaking. This franchise was a masterpiece. Someday... I will show them to my kids. It holds a top place in my heart. Forever will.
*_There were dragons, when I was a boy_* *_There were great, grim, sky dragons that nested on the cliff tops like gigantic scary birds_* *_Little, brown, scuttly dragons that hunted down the mice and rats in well organized packs_* *_Preposterously huge sea dragons that were twenty times as big as the Big Blue Whale and who killed for the fun of it_* *_You will have to take my words for it, for the dragons are disappearing so fast they may soon become extinct_* *_Nobody knows what is happening. They are crawling back into the sea from whence they came, leaving not a bone, not a fang in the Earth for the men of the future to remember them by_* *_So, in order that these amazing creatures should not be forgotten, I will tell you the story of my childhood_* *_I was not the sort of boy who could train a dragon with the mere lifting of an eyebrow. I was not a natural at the heroism business. I had to work at it_* *_This is the story of becoming a hero the hard way_*
"Sometimes you won't know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory." I loved this series and always will, I will show this to my kids because it is something that holds dear to me and I want to show them just how good of a series this is.
I remember when the first movie came out. In kindergarten, we would play this and "fly" around our classroom. When the second movie came out, my cousins and I would pick out a couple of dragons that we liked the most, or say that that dragon was one of the us or something, and I always get left with the dragons I never knew about. When the third movie came out, it was simply wonderful. I did not expect that to happen. My friends and I made a small movie theatre with cardboard and faced my dad's projector there so we could see it better, and it was a fun experience for us all. This movie gave me so much memories, I loved it soo much, and now to know that it is over is pretty sad. it was a movie that I shared a lot of interest with my family, and basically I grew up with this series. If you've read all of this, I hope you had great memories with this movie as well!
Yeah HTTYD is my all time favorite animated trilogy. It is what really inspired me to want to become an artist. I remember watching the first one in theaters with my mom and brother when I was about 13 and just fell in love with it. After it came out on dvd, I’d watch it almost every day and watch the how to draw Toothless video in the bonus features and would draw him constantly. I also remember getting super excited when the sequel got announced and going to see it in theaters with a friend of mine and my siblings. Then I got to see it a second time in theaters with my parents and brother. The second one is still my favorite 💖 I also really enjoyed the third installment. I remember I got to see it with my parents and brother a week or two early because one of the theaters in my area was doing an early screening. I just really love all the characters, stories, music, and art in these movies 😭💕 The HTTYD franchise will always be a big part of my life and I’ll always cherish the memories I have watching them.
I'm so glad I grew up with this best of them all franchise.. Starting as a young kid, when I was 5. Now I'm 14 year old.. edit: im still here guys lmao, reading yall stories and stuff. also an update. I turned 15 a couple months ago.
@@nikoladelerue1000 Be serious when you need to be - you'll know the situations. But never forget to be and remain yourself. I'm 27 and I still watch and love these movies, as well as lots of other animation. I still play Pokémon. Growing older is mandatory, but growing up is optional. ;)
I’m 14 too, and I will definitely never forget this franchise. I have been through ALL of the HTTYD games, good and bad, but I’m glad I have been given the chance to. I will show my kids these movies and we can cry together
I was so afraid of becoming my dad... mostly because I thought I never could... how do you become someone that brave, that strong, that selfless.... I guess you can only.... try.
2:19 Hiccup: I'm sorry, Dad. I'm not the chief that you wanted me to be and I'm not the peacekeeper I thought I was. I... don't know... Valka: You came early into this world. You were such a wee thing. So frail and so fragile. I feared that you wouldn't make it. But your father, he never doubted. He always said you would become the strongest of them all. And he was right. You have the heart of a chief and the soul of a dragon. Only you can bring our worlds together. That is who you are, son. Hiccup: I uh... I was so afraid of becoming my dad. Mostly because I thought I never could. How do you become someone that great, that brave, that selfless? I guess you can only try. A chief protects his own. We're going back.
I'm in tears realizing the soundtrack for Stoic's funeral was an instrumental version of Valka's and his song together. Those little details are what get me in a movie.

why does this music make me feel like I miss something so dear to me, but I don't know what it is? so beautiful and hopeful yet tinged with sadness. I remember watching the third movie and crying because it felt like I had truly grown up.
“My village. In a word, sturdy. And it's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new. We have been fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitos. We have...”
i don't think i'll ever be able to let go of these movies, they hold such a special place in my heart and provide so much comfort for my soul, oh the amount of things i would do in order for this to become my reality, the though of flying just makes my heart feel so free, the beautiful dynamics of friendship and love throughout the entire trilogy is something i long for, just hearing the soundtrack makes me feel at home and almost like a child, it just brings so much peace to my soul even in the worst times, this soundtrack is my escape, it may be selfish of me but i wish i could have more, i want the freedom of flying with someone i trust my life with, a bond that can't be broken, i want the dynamic of hiccup and astrid's relationship, the way they complete each other in the most effortless ways is just beautiful, the way they can still act as though they are best friends who just have each other's back, i just wish i had it all but for now i guess i'll just have to stay happy with this
I'm suicidal for a long time now. I always wanted to be able to fly in the sky, feeling free of the world.. This audio help me so much.. Forget the world outside, create my own paradise around me.. And leave all my problem and pass behind me. Thanks for this Masterpiece It save my life.
Keep doing that. Keep finding little things to keep you going. I used to be suicidal too, and that really is the key to surviving it. Friends, family, support networks, all of these are great, but if you can't find little things to keep you going and ways to find happiness, there's not much hope. All of these things are important. You are loved! Stay strong, keep fighting the good fight.
When the Romantic Flight came on. I lost it. I closed my eyes and instantly... I saw young Astrid holding onto Hiccup as Toothless shifts from the golden dusted clouds... to a oblivion of twilight and stars. A masterpiece. A goddamn masterpiece. 💕🌅
That scene somehow made me cry. Seeing the soft side of a fearless warrior lady, how she actually believed in Hiccup... Sure Hiccup and Toothless' relationship is the main subject, no doubt about it, but Astrid and Hiccup's relationship has a reason to be in How to Train Your Dragon also. A real reason. Nothing can change this fact.
HTTYD lives in the dark shadow of Disney, and not enough people appreciate how beautiful of a series it is. I love it more than most recent Disney movies these days.
@@acn6238 I think he means that it lives in disneys dark shadow as its from dreamworks. Disneys usually seen as bigger and better out of the two so few people watch many dreamworks movies, being fixated on disney, and fewer on the httyd movies so its overshadowed
I still hate that all three HTTYD movies were denied the Academy Awards they deserved and lost them to three Disney movies that sucked. Dreamworks is the movie company that should be on top, not Disney.
“This is Berk, your new home away from home. A stunning, one-stop, all expense paid dream destination. So settle in and let your worries melt away. The service here soars, the cuisine is fiery, and the locals are as colorful as you get. Any run of the mill paradise boasts beaches and sunshine. Well, not us. We’ve got something no one else can touch. We, my friend, have dragons.” ~ Hiccup

I was 14 when this franchise started in 2010. I'm 23 now, and I genuinely feel as though I - to a point - grew up alongside Hiccup, Astrid, and the other dragon riders of Berk. These movies mean a lot to me, and when I tell people that the HTTYD Franchise is my favorite series of movies, they think it's weird for a college student to be in love with movies made for children. That doesn't matter to me, though, because these are genuinely amazing movies that I will one day be showing to any children I have and raise.
That's also what going around me.... Bt the truth is only we know how better is this imaginary world than the world where we are.... That means a lot for us.... The HTTYD fans😌
I agree. I was 15 when the first one came out so we’re a similar age. HTTYD the first one, is my favorite movie of all time. I could rewatch it forever because of the amazing music story art etc. and I do find it a bit weird telling people that because here I am at 25 years of age loving this movie above all others but fuck it. It’s a great movie lol
I just finished the trilogy, and I was bawling my eyes out when I saw Hiccup and Toothless get reunited after years of being apart. It's so hard to let go of that one person who always stuck by your side, no matter what. I should know. It was just so wholesome and fulfilling to see Toothless and his family plus Hiccstrid's family together.
I went to watch the third movie in theaters with some of my friends that loved the trilogy as well. When the dragons were all leaving, I started crying and walked out of that theater trying not to start bawling. This trilogy represented such a large part of my childhood.
My mom worked on the HTTYD series (she was a production supervisor) and HTTYD was my childhood. I’ve watched the movies so many times and it’s a family tradition to watch the credits to see the names of all our family friends who also worked on the movie. Reading through the comments gave me such a sense of pride for my mom and the people I grew up calling “auntie” and “uncle”. HTTYD is such an incredible series and it’s amazing to hear from people whose lives were changed by it. On a separate note, I have insomnia and recently discovered this site from a friend. This is the fifth night in a row I’ve used this specific audio and have fallen asleep faster than I ever have in my life. Thank you so much for giving me such an amazing night sleep and I’m excited to try the rest of your videos at some point (though I currently love this one too much to switch to something else)!
"This is Berk. It's twelve days North of hopeless, and a few degrees South of freezing to death. It's located solidly on the Meridian of Misery. My village. In a word, sturdy. It's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new. We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see most places have mice, or mosquitoes, we have... dragons." -Hiccup
this soundtrack brings so many emotions at once. it’s kind of like saying goodbye to my childhood, because i remember watching this movie for the first time and absolutely loving it, and i’ve seen all the movies and specials that came with the first one, and don’t think i could ever get the feeling i feel from these from any other movie. they are so magical. i want a dragon.
I ride horses so I can feel almost as free as it must feel for Hiccup to ride a dragon like Toothless high above the clouds. A horse is a surprisingly quiet animal. When we humans walk in the woods, we make all sorts of noises that are incredibly distracting. I have to stop myself to hear the world around me even if I walk very quietly on my toes with carefully placed soft footfalls. Animals hear us and smell us coming long before we get where we're going. But a horse masks all of that. They walk silently. And it's so amazingly magical to take a horse who you have a great bond of trust with out on a freshly snowed and untouched field or a quiet beach with no one around and just the sound of the wind moving through the trees or the roll of the waves coming in. That to me is awesome and puts me as close as I'll ever be with the world. It's not riding a dragon like Toothless, but it's close.
yes. me and my family used to have horses. it was a stunning experience. we dont have them anymore, my horse died, my mums did aswell, my sister gave hers away and bought a new one that sadly died. i wish i still stayed in horse riding.
5:15 The soft piano The wind hitting your face If you listen carefully you can even hear the iron parts of Toothless prosteric tail rubbing each other. Close your eyes and feel FREE Edit: Thank you so much for the likes 🖤
I watched the first movie in theaters when I was 8 years old. I’m now 17 going on 18. The conclusion to this series I feel marks the end of my childhood and my coming into adulthood💔 Thanks HTTYD for making my childhood great🖤🖤
I can relate to all of you. I remember missing out on school to go watch it with my grandpa and watching it, I feel in love with the movie but mostly toothless ❤️ it was so hard to watch the ending of the third movie. There just something about the soundtrack that tells you to happily let go of something you experienced
“You came early into this world... You were such a wee thing. You were so frail, Oh, so fragile... I feared you wouldn’t make it... But your father... He never doubted... He always knew you’d become the strongest of them all.... You have the heart of a chief, and the soul of a dragon... Only you can bring our worlds together.... That... is who you are.. son” Next movie: TEARS THE WORLDS APART *BIG CRI*
BIG CRI!!! I am trying to sleep oh the comments Ah I can just rest in bed and be away from my small dragon:( I hate bed I have to be away from my lil pet rat/mini dragon Rats are dragons Just a different look And size AND DONT GET ME SAYING ON HOW CUTE THESE RATS ARE! Awh Rats are just adorable You can’t deny
"With love comes loss, son" Foreshadowing on so many levels. This franchise will forever be my favourite i grew up with it. I was 13 when it first came out and immediately fell in love, the musical score is magic. The characters oddly relatable (especially hiccup) i went through some of my toughest years with these and I'll forever be greatful for the escape they provided. Yes they're kids movies but that doesn't make them any less impactful. I'm 23 now and these movies hold such a dear part of my heart, i don't think I'll ever be able to let them go. This is a masterpiece in every way possible.
I was 2 when it came out I watched it when I was 3 or 4 but I recall watching it when I was 5 and yet it ended up making a huge impact on me in a good way it just makes me so happy to know there are more dragon riders and friends out there that love httyd as much as I do
1:58 May the Valkyries welcome you and lead you through Odin's great battle field. May they sing your name with love and fury, so that we might hear it rise from the depths of Valhalla. And know that you've taken your rightful place at the table of Kings. For a great man has fallen: A warrior. A chieftain. A father. A friend....
I mean they do say all memories become stories so maybe just maybe somewhere descendants of the people of Berk are still there protecting the dragons secret until our world is truly ready for them
Timestamps: 0:06 Romantic Flight 1:57 Stoick's Ship 5:11 Where's Hiccup? 6:19 Stoick Finds Beauty 7:33 Hiccup the Chief These selections then repeat in the same order for the duration of the video.
fun fact this isn't your first time here. But no matter how many times you've been here, each time takes you back to first meeting of toothless and brings you back again to the departure scene....................................and when we leave, we no longer have that grief of goodbye moreover we have that joy of this whole beautiful journey.
you just said exactly what i was feeling...insane. we're two people, living in different places and in different lives, but we're on our phone/computer feeling the same thing. Insane.
It reminds me of those days, when you’d ride your bike or hike up these giant hills, and you’d stand there with the wind in your hair, and the sun at your back. Just taking it all in. Then you’d ride down or run down that hill at break neck pace yelling out at the shear thrill it gave you. Then at the end of the day, as the sun was setting and you’d be lying in your backyard, body tired, and weary and just letting the day fade away, until you go inside to be with your family once more
God within the first few seconds I start tearing up, I just love HTTYD so much... I hope Dreamworks finds some way to keep the HTTYD universe alive whether it be spinoff movies, another series, or prequels
DeltaMx94 for real!!! I haven't seen the new one yet but I hope they put a flashback scene of Toothless as a baby with A younger Grimmel hunting his family and Toothless is the only one to get away.. It'd give some back story on how he stumbled upon the red deaths nest!! 🐉💜💕
I wish they would too, but from what I heard apparently Dreamworks isn't doing any HTTYD things at all anymore ;^; I hope this isn't true because I really hope there's more to movies as well!
'With love comes loss, son. It's part of the deal. Sometimes it hurts, but in the end, it's all worth it. There's no greater gift than love.' - Stoick (How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World) (3:05)

The first movie came into theaters on my birthday. I begged my mom to go see it, and so we did. I've been religiously keeping up with httyd ever since. I'm 19 now, and sometimes, I still catch myself looking in the sky and imagining toothless and hiccup swirling over clouds. I hear the thunder and think of the dragons that could cause it. This movie is and will be apart of me forever.
HTTYD have come a long way and got in my life, it changed my life and changed my personality when the first movie came out, and now here I am, follow along with the series and it trilogy from where it started till the end of it, the music and the feels that I will never forget, the way it change to the better me today, I will always be part of this trilogy till the end of my life. Thank you Hiccup, Toothless and the rest of the dragons and humans. How To Train Your Dragon, you will not be missed. 2010 ~ 2019
I have a question about httyd3 and sry for ja Bad english im From Germany . Also my question is have Hiccup found toothless in the end of the movie and there Go theys ways or they Friends again ?.
hears Stoick's ship ( 1:58 )- "May the Valkyries welcome you and lead you through Odin's great battlefield may they sing your name with love and fury so that we might hear it rise from the depths of Valhalla and know that you've taken your rightful place at the table of Kings... for a great Man has fallen a warrior, a chieftain, a father.. a friend" - Gobber And to make it even more saddening "Stoick's Ship" and " For The Dancing and The Dreaming" are the exact same song
"...I was so afraid of becoming my dad. Mostly because I thought I never could. How do you become someone that great, that brave, that selfless? I guess you can only...try. A chief protects his own. We're going back."
I'm proud to say I was 9 years old when the first one came out. 13 years old when the second one came out. 16 years old when the trilogy concluded. I cried the exact same amount. HTTYD has helped me through so much and I bawled my eyes out at the ending of my childhood. I listen to this video whenever I need to cry. God I'm going to miss it. You will not be forgotten. The best nine years of my life. ❤️ (2010-2019)

@@rolexgamer65 , yes, all this is making me so emotional, this song and this franchise whole,is just so close to us all and I will hold onto this forever.
@@lamata2013 I wrote a few songs about my dragon, I'm a 'self-insert fanfic' kind of person😅 Some of them are on my channel if you want to hear them (I'll warn that the video is very poor quality because I never did a lot with the songs I wrote, especially the older ones) I think three on here were about my fanfic. "Fly Away" "Today" and "An Open Ocean". (If you watch the last one find the 'Lyric Video' one because it's quality is slightly better. Open Ocean is also the only one with any music.) Hopefully this doesn't come off as to much of a plug, I don't even post there anymore just thought a fellow HTTYD fan might appreciate it. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Looking back on this trilogy I’m realizing that it’s one of the greatest coming of age stories ever, but for me, it is my coming of age story. These films were around in a time where my life started to change rapidly and, just like Hiccup, I was able to grow and learn about life with these films. Thank you soo much HTTYD you’ll always be apart of me❤️
this has been the best 9 years of my life. but sadly all good thing must come to an end we will never forget the series and it will come through our life as the better times we will be lying on our death beds recalling the past and remember playing in the garden with loved ones pretending to be hiccup or toothless every day we will remember the second movies release and how happy we were that the trilogy would continue. and how sad were when stoic died and how we used to look up at the sky and imagining flying through the clouds with toothless by your side living the dream. an when the third came out how sad you were that it all just ended. to all my comrades who grew up with this gem I salute you 🙏 may we all live wonderful lives “You came early into this world... You were such a wee thing. You were so frail, Oh, so fragile... I feared you wouldn’t make it... But your father... He never doubted... He always knew you’d become the strongest of them all.... You have the heart of a chief, and the soul of a dragon... Only you can bring our worlds together.... That... is who you are.. son” goodbye its been fun - Seme
Berk was and is still our home. No matter how long it has been, that will never change. This series gave us an imagination full of wonder and hope. Hiccup and Astrid and the twins and Snotlout and Fishlegs and so many more. They raised us and made us believe in the unimaginable. We have them to thank for everything.
I watched the last movie a few weeks ago... God damn, what a movie. Everything about the movie was beautiful, heartbreaking, jaw dropping, exciting and just incredible all at once. The story of Hiccup and Toothless learning to let go of each other just shattered me. And the ending... The ending got me. I cried at the ending, I'm not even ashamed. How to train your dragon has been such an amazing series, the series has been one of my absolute favorites over the years, and I am incredibly sad that it is gone. But at the same time, I truly could not have asked for a better ending for one of my favorite film series of all time, and listening to this music, I feel free. I feel like I'm riding a dragon, soaring through the clouds with not a care in the world. I grew up with the how to train your dragon series, and I love it so much. And I will miss it dearly. Goodbye HTTYD, it's been great flying with you.
avengers:*ends* Me: "wow, nice movie" How To Train your Dragon:*ends* me: *speaking through tears*: "we never forget you, guys. We'll miss you. Bye, toothless" Upd. Sorry for making you cry(
I was 5 and it was 2009, my parents and me went to the cinema, I remember that I wachted the first film about 4 times at the cinema. I was 9, it was 2014, me and my father, with my grandparents went to the cinema and it was a beautiful day.... A year ago I saw HTTYD 3 and now Im 15, its strange but this film helped me. Now I have a dream, and everytime that I thing at the dream, I thing at How to train your dragon, thank you Hiccup 🙂
I remember watching the first movie with my dad, we downloaded it online cause the town we lived in then didn't have a cinema, i remember when toothless took flight with Astrid and Hiccup how peaceful the whole scene and soundtrack was. But yet my most fondest memory is my dad when he learned that the sequel was coming in 2014, i remember how pissed he was that he had to wait two years to watch the movie and how my family laughed at his rants. Now a decade later I've moved out of home, I have a job and attending university. My parents have divorced, My Family Lives in two separate states and i only see my dad a few times a year... And I'm almost 20. I guess childhood is just short-lived so Make memories that last a lifetime.
One day I was talking to my little cousin and said “ There were dragons once” She didn’t believe me. So i asked her if she knew oh HTTYD. Ever so sadly she said no. After that I realized how honored some of us were to have this beautiful memory. From that day on I taught her all I could about how to train your dragon. At that time she was 6, now she is eight going on nine is 4 months. Me, well I am 12 going on 13 in 6 months. We were addicted. Now we go about our days with the amazing memories of HTTYD. HTTYD was my cure for everything, i was a mentally challenged kid back then, but this gave me imagination and was my warm place. It was always like I was there. I thank dreamworks for this, for giving me a life, a everything. Thank you so much for the amazing talent, storyline, and work put into this. Thank you
i can feel that... wow thanks for sharing your story. i believe that everyone who was inspired by this franchise must be in tears right now. it is what it is... I'm glad I had the chance to live this fantastic world where dragons actually existed
I love all these amazing, emotional comments and yes, do check out the 5 special episodes and 8 seasons of httyd tv series and the book(there are a bit differences in book series tho, skip it maybe)and I will say once, this franchise will always be one of THE BEST TO HAVE EVER EXISTED!! This song makes me soo emotional, long live berk! Hail dragons!
@@rajansh213 the movies were based on the books, it was the movies that changed things. The books are amazing, don't skip them! :) Just accept that like all movies based on books, there are differences.
I really hope that by the time I'm old and grey, I'll still have a deep-seated love of fantastical stories and mythical adventures. My biggest fear is growing up to disregard things like How to Train Your Dragon as 'silly children's stories'. I want to keep that spark of creativity and imagination for as long as I possibly can.
Oh yeah, same here. I love anything mythical from norse mythology to greek, roman anything mythological I love! I want to keep this part of my life with me forever and never let go becouse one day, imagination may be all we have.
I just fear growing up and losing all these memories. I want to feel like I did as a kid and I fear that I'll never look back on now like I did 9 years ago
Growing up only takes away creativity and imagination if we let it. I like to write down what I imagine. That way I'll never lose it. :) You could also write letters to yourself; then in twenty years you can read them and know exactly what you were thinking about. Hopes and worries and stuff.
This is the best movie that has ever been made...I’m crying right now....I was 4 when I started this dragon ride journey and I’ve never looked back...beautiful story. Pls like if u agree. Never grow up
Funky Little Badger that’s what the httyd soundtrack does to me every single time I’m listing to it since 2010. It’s just mind blowing how this music is touching me, I can’t explain it 😳
I remember watching httyd 2 and being in awe of how huge, small and unique each dragon was. I remember being sucked into this world of where I felt free to fly among the dragons. I remember the summer evenings of me and my friends staying at the park talking about which dragons we would have that would suit us. And I remember being 13 and seeing the 3rd installment and having a sense of sadness but relief for toothless having to leave hiccup, but that taught me that sometimes the right choices in life are the hardest ones to make. I'm now 16 and these movies will forever be a part of who I am.
How to train your dragon is one of the best animated movie series ever. Period. Action, fantasy, love, heartbreak, friendship, adventure, tragedy, comedy, it's got everything one could ask for. The soundtracks are beautiful, everything's just lovely. Dreamworks really outdid themselves with this series, and it's sad that httyd isn't more popular and mainstream.
the way im crying rn because i literally grew up with this trilogy and time flew by so fast i didnt realize its over because it still feels so recent and i can literally remember watching this movie for the first time like it was yesterday
I remember when the first movie came out. I watched it with my favorite baby-sitter. She gave me so many httyd toys. We watched all the movies together over and over again. She was like family to me. The more I grew up the less I went to her house and the less I saw her. Eventually I didn't go to her house at all. I have amazing memories to remember her by. I wish I could see her again, but I have this movie to remember her by along with all the things she gave me. I hope to see her again in the future just one more time.

Its just beautiful
I certainly grew up with him
Omg yeah, I never thought about this way. I love httyd so much and I will be till my last breath

May Stoick dance with his long lost wife again
May Gobber stand by his best friend’s son and protect him with his life
May Snotlout appreciate the little things and not have to live up to his father’s expectations
May the twins never lose each other and always find the good in the bad situations
May Fishlegs use his brain to be someone more than he is now
May Astrid open herself up despite the risks and perhaps learn from the pain it may cause
May Hiccup learn to trust himself and his capabilities and once more have a full family
May Toothless and his family never have to hide away in fear of humans
May we all find peace and don’t think of ‘what if’ but of ‘what was’.

When the second movie came out, my cousins and I would pick out a couple of dragons that we liked the most, or say that that dragon was one of the us or something, and I always get left with the dragons I never knew about.

i don't think i'll ever be able to let go of these movies, they hold such a special place in my heart and provide so much comfort for my soul, oh the amount of things i would do in order for this to become my reality, the though of flying just makes my heart feel so free, the beautiful dynamics of friendship and love throughout the entire trilogy is something i long for, just hearing the soundtrack makes me feel at home and almost like a child, it just brings so much peace to my soul even in the worst times, this soundtrack is my escape, it may be selfish of me but i wish i could have more, i want the freedom of flying with someone i trust my life with, a bond that can't be broken, i want the dynamic of hiccup and astrid's relationship, the way they complete each other in the most effortless ways is just beautiful, the way they can still act as though they are best friends who just have each other's back, i just wish i had it all but for now i guess i'll just have to stay happy with this

Blyat, that sounds like poetry!
yep same here
I was laughing during that scene cause first thing that came to mind was: if you want a girl, you need a cool ride. XD

I love it more than most recent Disney movies these days.
isn't HHTYD from dreamworks?
@@acn6238 I think he means that it lives in disneys dark shadow as its from dreamworks. Disneys usually seen as bigger and better out of the two so few people watch many dreamworks movies, being fixated on disney, and fewer on the httyd movies so its overshadowed
I still hate that all three HTTYD movies were denied the Academy Awards they deserved and lost them to three Disney movies that sucked. Dreamworks is the movie company that should be on top, not Disney.
@covand, yeah, but that's how life works sometimes fair and sometimes unfair 😔

I was 14 when this franchise started in 2010. I'm 23 now, and I genuinely feel as though I - to a point - grew up alongside Hiccup, Astrid, and the other dragon riders of Berk. These movies mean a lot to me, and when I tell people that the HTTYD Franchise is my favorite series of movies, they think it's weird for a college student to be in love with movies made for children. That doesn't matter to me, though, because these are genuinely amazing movies that I will one day be showing to any children I have and raise.
Dude i am now 14 :(

I could rewatch it forever because of the amazing music story art etc. and I do find it a bit weird telling people that because here I am at 25 years of age loving this movie above all others but fuck it. It’s a great movie lol
I just finished the trilogy, and I was bawling my eyes out when I saw Hiccup and Toothless get reunited after years of being apart. It's so hard to let go of that one person who always stuck by your side, no matter what. I should know. It was just so wholesome and fulfilling to see Toothless and his family plus Hiccstrid's family together.

You made me cry even more
I went to watch the third movie in theaters with some of my friends that loved the trilogy as well.

Same, the soundtrack always makes me emotional 😭
It's not riding a dragon like Toothless, but it's close.
i love this, can i please screenshot it?? (im sorry if i sound creepyyy) it just makes my heart hurt

This movie gave me so much imagination and still to this day I have so much imagination thanks to HTTYD
Same! My cousins and I were so addicted! Once we watched the third movie twice in a row. I don't regret it.
@@rajansh213 the movies were based on the books, it was the movies that changed things. The books are amazing, don't skip them! :) Just accept that like all movies based on books, there are differences.
When you use this music to study, but you just end up crying instead. 😢
omg, i'm in my zoom class while listening to this, i have tears :')
That's me right now :'(
That exactly what happened right now!
Is it just me or is it the bagpipes that get me
I’m doing that rn
I really hope that by the time I'm old and grey, I'll still have a deep-seated love of fantastical stories and mythical adventures. My biggest fear is growing up to disregard things like How to Train Your Dragon as 'silly children's stories'. I want to keep that spark of creativity and imagination for as long as I possibly can.
Oh yeah, same here. I love anything mythical from norse mythology to greek, roman anything mythological I love! I want to keep this part of my life with me forever and never let go becouse one day, imagination may be all we have.
I just fear growing up and losing all these memories. I want to feel like I did as a kid and I fear that I'll never look back on now like I did 9 years ago
same, i fear that growing up will come with responsibilities which will keep me too busy from thinking about such adventures
Growing up only takes away creativity and imagination if we let it.
I like to write down what I imagine. That way I'll never lose it. :)
You could also write letters to yourself; then in twenty years you can read them and know exactly what you were thinking about. Hopes and worries and stuff.
YES, this is so nostalgic, i cannot explain. I dont have enough poetry in me to explain this whole piece of art.
i get such nostalgic feelings ive never had, i just want to live in this world with a dragon as my best friend....thats all i wanted my whole life
This is the best movie that has ever been made...I’m crying right now....I was 4 when I started this dragon ride journey and I’ve never looked back...beautiful story. Pls like if u agree. Never grow up
Never grow up.
Never grow up.
never grow up
Never grow up
never grow up! ill never abandon this magical world! no matter how old I get, I love it with all of my heart
I was just sitting and listening the few seconds when the music started i swear i felt like my heart was attacked
It was so beautiful😢💛
Agreed! I was tearing up just listening to it.
Funky Little Badger that’s what the httyd soundtrack does to me every single time I’m listing to it since 2010. It’s just mind blowing how this music is touching me, I can’t explain it 😳
Truer words have never been spoken
I didn't cry until I read the comment section, y'all are evil 😭
Same
N
Me too. At least it's nice to know we are not alone.
why?
Yeah they are
I remember watching httyd 2 and being in awe of how huge, small and unique each dragon was.
Exactlyy
Best franchise of all time
HTTYD and Kung Fu Panda are quite possibly my favorite animated series ever.
@@sridevisudhahar309 same here
Three of the greatest movies if all time, animated, live action, across all merits
the way im crying rn because i literally grew up with this trilogy and time flew by so fast i didnt realize its over because it still feels so recent and i can literally remember watching this movie for the first time like it was yesterday
When I was a boy...there was How to Train Your Dragon
And if I have enything to do about it there well be how to train your dragons IT WELL NOY DIE.
NOT*
fact or faction ???
There always will be.
I will always remember this animated film or cartoon forever in my life. HTTYD will never die in my heart
I hope to see her again in the future just one more time.
i hope you see her again
