"Concerning Hobbits" was the song I played as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day in the backyard, on the grass under the trees. Happiest day, happiest song. Every time I hear it I can close my eyes and remember holding my father's arm as I passed family and friends on my way to my husband's side. Perfection.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
I hope they dont fuck up the new Amazon studio LOTR, nothing can beat the originals, but it can still be good, anyway, thanks for this happy reminder, hope you have a wonderful day Lukas
And he wasn't wrong. I'm not saying we should all live like Hobbits but even if people just change one thing about their behaviour towards the Hobbit-way the whole world would be so much more beautiful.
Why do I feel like I'm missing something, a sense of longing, everytime I listen to this music? Its like I miss a place, a Home, I've never even seen... Anyone else feels like that?
As a friend of mine put it, perhaps it is because our origins are from God. When you experience beauty, truth, goodness, you come into contact with the God that created you, your origins and the true place in which we all call home, within the very heart of God.
Romans 8:18-21 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons [and daughters] of God. For the creation itself was subjected to moral futility-not willingly, but by reason of God who subjected the same in hope, because the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption and decay into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in pain until now.
With tall lush green trees in a nice warm home preferably by or on the mountain as the sun casts its golden veils onto the grassy greens with animals roaming about and people living in harmony with nature. The wind dancing across the sky as the leaves converse with one another and the laughter of innocent children playing their games of adventure. Birds singing a symphony as a river gently tumbles down the mountain ever so gracefully. Yeah. This really is a sense of longing for me. It's also why I love to play open world games with a beautiful world and class system.
I heard the first few notes, Gandalf began humming, and I was instantly overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry. Thank you for offering a chance to relive this beautiful experience.
“Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
Ugh I can't even say how many times I have thought of that line this year. I wish none of this had ever happened. The covid, the government turmoil, the lockdowns. It's all too much, but wasting time wishing that this ring had never come to me only brings depression and anguish.
Everyone in this comment section is so pure and its heartwarming to see that there is still “some good in this world and its worth fighting for!” Love to all, you beautiful souls❤️
Seeing the shire on film changed my life. I went from office worker to gardener and from living in the city to moving to the countryside. Thanks for everything Mr Tolkien and Mr Jackson.
I have been lucky enough to visit Hobbiton in New Zealand - I was nearly crying the entire time I was there. :') It felt so real and alive... I only miss it all the more now though.
I live down the road from there, the people who own that farm are a lovely family. Its great that they've kept it as a set after the film crews finished. The Waikato, with rolling hills, green paddocks, Willow, oak, poplar trees, fog that rolls in and sticks to caves and valley's, clear streams with trout ect. They picked the perfect location for Hobbiton. Check out the south island next time, breathtaking. Fiordland and the southern Alps.
Same! It’s beautiful! I live in New Zealand and was lucky enough to go recently and it is gorgeous! The grass is long and wild and the wind is cool and refreshing. Straight out of the Tolkien universe.
This is something Game of Thrones can’t give you. A sense of going home to a place you’ve never been to. Coziness, safety, reassurance. Old friends you’ve dreamed about meeting.
It's the middle of the night, I have homework to do, and I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes and a heart so full it almost aches. I'm homesick for a place I've never been and a world that isn't even real. Stories can be so beautiful and have the power to touch something so deep within us, and Tolkien's work stands high above the rest.
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.” -C.S Lewis have hope, my friend.
Hey friend, My dad was in the hospital, it was the final days of his life. He was losing his ability to breath from the Pancreatic Cancer in his lungs. We loved lord of the rings. I found this, and we played it all the way through his passing. It made me feel like he was just returning home. Thank you so much, you are doing wonderful things for people by creating these.
The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it: white shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise as "concerning hobbits" plays in the background Wish you all the best, friend. And remember, not all tears are an evil

"But Sam...can we survive this pandemic? Can we?" "Yes. Frodo. I believe we can. We can indeed. We just need to remember who we are and look to the sun."
"Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage..." -Gandalf
“And there was Frodo pale and worn, and yet himself again; and in his eyes there was peace now, neither strain of will, nor madness, nor any fear. His burden was taken away. There was the dear master of the sweet days in the Shire. ‘Master!’ cried Sam. And fell upon his knees. In all that ruin of the world for the moment he felt only joy, great joy. His master had been saved; he was himself again, and he was free.”
My heart longs for more beauty and reverence, and I find it all in the books, the trilogy and the music. Conveying why I love the Lord of the Rings so much is like trying to explain my relationship to 'a Higher Power' - seemingly few people truly get what I feel, and those are the people that I feel truly understood by in life. I love this community, may it ward Evil and foster goodness and wholesomeness.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate what a brilliant composer Howard Shore is. This music was my internal soundtrack for the better part of a decade, and it has never once felt overplayed in the years since. Thank you for putting this mix together!
Word. Props to Howard Shore and all the other score composers that are the real magic behind movies: Hans Zimmer, Ennio Moroconne, James Horner, and don’t forget the musicians! 🌺
I took my family to see a tribute to John Williams. They could not believe att of the different instruments that were used. And after at dinner we were talking about how awesome it would be to see the orchestra play this music. I am looking fervently for a concert of such.
So amazing. I wish everybody commenting here were together in Bag End enjoying a feast and laughing and cheering and singing and dancing, then after I’d go watch the stars with a pipe in my hand and just be so content and happy of seeing everybody and being home...
I'll join you under the stars, if you don't mind! I might fall asleep while you're talking about such happy things, just enjoying the sound of your voice and feeling full of feast and the warmth of friendship... just don't leave me there to sleep all night on the grass. I left my cloak over there on a chair somewhere. Point me toward my hobbit-hole and I'll find my way home before it gets proper cold.
Sorry for being late! I forgot where I'd placed my pipe weed (again) and spent hours looking for it when I felt a strange packet in my pocket and remembered I'd put it there yesterday to be ready for tonight 🤦♂️ I'm here now though, and at least some of you are still awake, so let me refill your cups of ale and tell me again about that time you lost a tooth in the Green Dragon Inn!
To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.
Katie, have you heard Dave Brons' music? Google him. He has a great prog rock album themed on Middle Earth called "Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost". Very much worth the price!
I remember when the first movie came out. I was in 5th or 6th grade. Unfortunately I didn't see or know about LOTR until my middle would broadcast them on our free days and I absolutely fell in love with the movies. I'm in my 30s now. And as I sit here at home, it's 3am, while I study, I can now appreciate Tolkien's work, the movies and the soundtracks. When I become a mother, I want my children to have my Hobbit and LOTR books.
I was not even bron when the movies were made, but they still penetrate my mind and heart. It is all amazing. That is not a big or grand enough word for it!❤
Never forget that everyone of you has a home like this in your life, or one waiting for you in the future. The road goes ever on, good fortune to you all on your journeys!
This is indeed my home. Much gratitude for this, my friend. This ambience always makes me feel as if I am really there, bundled up in a warm hobbit-hole, sipping tea. This is my absolute favorite spot in Middle Earth, for it feels quite safe and welcoming- in contrast to the many places Frodo travels that bring horrors. Whenever I do read or watch lotr, I feel largely at home in this wonderful world, even if it is through the pages of a book or the screen of a TV.
I don’t get to say this often however, I sincerely love you all. The fans of Tolkien’s creations are the most welcoming and heartwarming community I’ve ever been apart of 🙏🏼
I will be forever grateful to this video and those who commented on it. About a year ago, I was stressed to the max and trying to get through schoolwork. I was looking for study music on TH-cam and found this gem. It really got me through it and turned down my anxiety quite a bit. After scrolling through the comment section and reading how much LOTR meant to so many people, I decided to read the books. I wanted that same sense of “home,” and I really got it. I read the books and completely fell in love with the franchise. When I was younger, I watched the movies but didn’t really understand them. I’m so glad I stumbled across this, and now LOTR is one of my favorite series of all time and continues to give me that sense of comfort. Thanks to you all. You invited me to a little corner of your imaginations known and middle earth and I am so grateful for that. God bless :-)
LOTR music has almost a magical effect on me. It’s soothing melody has a way of tugging at my heartstrings and filling me with a calming peace. Whenever I listen to it, I feel as if I were actually there in the Shire. Thank you for sharing these videos. They are a great joy to listen to!
To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. may peace and calmness fill your life. ❤
19 years, and 2020 is by far the most challenging & crucial year for the planet. And then, when its cold outside, and the christmas days are on the horizon, there is no music that is more lovely and warming then this shire music. And, to close this, there is only one quote: "My friends. You bow to no one."
I have never had friends that like this kind of stuff like me. Bit when I scroll through the comments I feel like this is not only friends, but an entire family! It is amazing to finally have people to relate to. I am so happy that so many people can come together over such a small thing. Small yes,but wonderful.
This past year, I just finished a long battle with 3 brain tumors and brain cancer. My therapist asks me if there is anything I do to help calm me down after events as traumatic as those were. For me, sitting on my back porch with the sound of birds, the wind, and music from the shire help bring me to at peace. I hope this does the same to all of you. Enjoy every moment of life. Life is a rollercoaster, so enjoy the quiet moments. You’ll never know when the coaster will drop again.
My aunt and uncle were finally able to visit from overseas after nearly 4 years apart because of covid. I prepared everything for them. I tidied up, fluffed the pillows, lit some candles, burned some sage, laid out some cookies and brewed a warm pot of tea. The final touch was playing this on the tv. I can't tell you how beautifully it set the tone for our reunion (': we laughed and cried and spent a good amount of time comparing ourselves to the characters in Hobbit. My aunt said she wished we could all live together in the Shire and my uncle chimed in that if we lived in the Shire, this one evil member of our family would live in Mordor lmao. It was a great time. Thank you for this beautiful video.
"I don't know half as many of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." This was unexpected and rather difficult. There was some scattered applause, but most of them were trying to work it out and see if it came to a compliment.
I was in the hospital with a major surgery coming up when this premiered. This cheered up a drab hospital room and made my days easier and less painful, having somewhere to drift off to. Thank you!!!
“Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the caves, and wear a sword instead of a walking-stick.”
Samwise - "Do you remember the Shire, Mr. Frodo? It'll be spring soon, and the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields. And they'll be eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?"
Samwise Gamgee, the true hero of Lord of the Rings. Frodo: You have left out one of the chief characters - Samwise the Brave. Frodo would not have got far without Sam". Sam: "Now Mr. Frodo, you should not make fun; I was being serious." Frodo: "So was I." Sam: "Samwise the Brave...."
It’s amazing to get so emotional every time you watch the franchise...the thought of no more of our beloved actors, the thought of them growing old always brings a tear to my eye but I still find myself back here enjoying the comforts of my favourite films
I will never be able to put in words how much The Lord of The Rings mean to me and the splendid, fascinating, heartwarming feelings the music of the shire produces in me, the way it touches my heart and soul.
I wish I could visit a shire like this. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It just gives me this amazing feeling and I feel like everything will be ok. No matter what. I really needed this.
To all the people feeling homesickness to a place they've never been to, to a world that doesn't exists outside of our heart, missing old friends who will never come: i feel the same. And now i know it's you that i miss. This community is our home.
the serenity, the calmness and the overjoy I feel is amazing. The world of Tolkien means the world to me. More of this and I wish you all an amazing day. Mae Govannen!
The melody takes me back to my teens when the world was still bright and gleaming. Not yet did I realize the shine would wane. The truth of life’s hardships would eventually settle about my shoulders, a dark cloak. To hear the music brings happy contentment while the current worries fade away for a time. Thus is the power of music and memory. Thank you for returning me to that time, if only for a little while.
I was feeling hopeless about a situation in my life and started getting really down on myself and feeling hopeless about myself. I decided to focus on this scene instead. I noticed what looks like a creature in the front on the roof. I focused on them and let the sadness settle some. Then I focused on the cottage in the front and worked on back to the other cottages. I focused on being present with the music and scene and asked myself, “which ‘cottage’ could I see myself living in”. This got me focusing on a positive thought and I let any sad feelings that would creep up, slowly go back away by reminding myself of positive ones instead (which happened several times as I gave myself the thought to focus on this scene and focus on positivity… as I put my energy towards thinking of the delights of this scene of nature, I imagined what it would feel like to be on the cool grass and smell blades of grass, a slight breeze. I asked myself “ what would be one or two of my favorite places to sit on the grass in this scene. And considered times when I might want to be more alone and where I’d go to be alone on the grass. This helped me from remaining sad all night. I’m grateful for this. And I hope somehow what I described can help someone focus on being kind to themself by taking a positive break. I saw hope in this scene
Many kindred souls gathered here. In my dream world I’ll be in middle earth, have a hobbit-hole, but get to adventure and also to refresh at Rivendell. This music is what the threads of hope are made of. Reading LOTR currently, to my youngest. So happy to share something so special and magical with my child! May you all have adventures, good food, a warm place to sleep, true friends, fortitude and strength in hard times, and hope and love to carry you on. 💫
Listening to this in the background at work. Co-worker comes in my office - "Is that Lord of the Rings?" Me: "Why, yes fellow person of good taste in music, books and movies." Thank you for this and all of these awesome worlds that you help transport me to. It allows for a little bit of peace in a chaotic world. Stay safe and well. 💕
I listen to it most days at work, as well. No one has ever commented on it lol the women in the office across from me sings gospel music all day, so I must do something to escape! :-)
Everyone take a moment away from your fantastical musing and take a moment to say thank you to the composers and musicians that brought these emotions to auditory life. Stirring emotions that should be strived to present in real life. We should strive to make the world the shire: that is our adventure.
I have constant ringing in my ears, so I listen to music to try to sleep. This calms me and sends me right into a night of sleep. I love LoTR!! And everyone I've seen commenting in here, y'all stay cool and kind out there. You give hope to old guys like me who have seen how cruel life and people can be.
I've been studying for a really important test in the midst of a lot of changes in my life. This simple video has brought me so much peace, joy, and serenity. Thank you so much for making this!
My father is 76 years old. He has NEVER been into the fantasy genre in any sense. Over the last 15 years, I have tried numerous times to get him to watch LOTR with me to no avail. This past Christmas, I was able to FINALLY convince him to sit down and watch at least The Fellowship Of The Rings (extended version) with me. Within a 5 day span, we finished ALL 3 Extended Versions and my 76 years old father was in tears by the end of it and thanked me for sharing them with him. He told me "I haven't enjoyed a journey like that in a long time".
I don't know how this is possible, but listening to this makes my heart hurt yet I also feel like the most loved person in the world... I want to cry and laugh all at the same time
I remember seeing Lord of the Rings a long time ago. On VHS tapes. Cozied up to a fire with hot chocolate in hand during an all day snow storm. I watched all 3 movies one after the other. Hearing this brings me back. I actually teared up. Hearing that flute, Gandalf humming his tune. It brings me back to such a happy place in my life. Thank you Ambient Worlds for a beautiful track and for helping bring back such joyful memories in hard times. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the entire Middle Earth story will forever have a place in my heart. I hope to share and visit Middle Earth time and time again with my children in the future.
The most heartbreaking thing is that I can never experience The Lord of the Rings for first time again. It is unlike any film and literary experience I've had before or since.
It feels like home, even though it's a place I've never been. I'd be a happy man to live "happily ever after to the end of my days" right here 😊. Who's with me?
I hope this never gets removed from youtube . I casually listen to this music to keep my mind at ease and I hope to do so all my life ! Thank you Ambiant Worlds !
I've been to the shire, you know? In New Zealand. My Family took me there for a late birthday present. I had this video on while I was there. It was a transcendant experience
This is not normal that an "Ambiant music" is making my heart so comfortable, my eyes in tears, my head full of imagination. This is honestly a rare and wonderful feeling. Thank you for this
I never thought music like this could make you feel warm. And make you feel like home is always near. It's hard to calm yourself and relax but man when this comes on.
It's amazing to miss a place you've never been to.
Well come on in then. Don't wait to knock, tea is at four!

"Concerning Hobbits" was the song I played as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day in the backyard, on the grass under the trees. Happiest day, happiest song. In order to enjoy the former continuously, you need a hoard of the latter. Clearly Tolkien didn't know much about economics :)
@Gabriel D. thanks lol
says Tony Stark. lmao
Why do I feel like I'm missing something, a sense of longing, everytime I listen to this music? Its like I miss a place, a Home, I've never even seen... Anyone else feels like that?
Me too
As a friend of mine put it, perhaps it is because our origins are from God.
The Germans have a word for that: Sehnsucht. Nostalgia for a time and place you never actually knew.
This is my favorite place to be on TH-cam. No fighting, arguing, or toxic people. Everyone feels like a friend.
I heard the first few notes, Gandalf began humming, and I was instantly overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry. Thank you for offering a chance to relive this beautiful experience.
Tears of joy, I hope :)
Me too. Crying right now.
same oh my god ....
Me too. Grateful.
same, i was putting in on to work and began to cry
It's been 20 years since the Fellowship of The Ring was released and it still has one of the greatest soundtracks ever!
Time is quick, but reminds us to treasure what few dear things we have in this cruel world.
"Gandalf, my old friend... this will be a night to remember."
- Bilbo
And then you almost get a heart attack because of the sudden unexpected fireworks...😂 Does anyone else feel that way?
@@joan_28 Yes, it scares me to death every time!
As they smoke the finest weed in the shire! :)
That line brings me peace
@@billyscorpio I was gonna say that 😂😂
“Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
That is very applicable now.
Ugh I can't even say how many times I have thought of that line this year. I wish none of this had ever happened. The covid, the government turmoil, the lockdowns. It's all too much, but wasting time wishing that this ring had never come to me only brings depression and anguish.
legit tear'd up reading this comment. 😢 this was something i needed to read.
And Mr. Shore! Don't forget he is the reason we have this amazing music.
Easily the biggest release of 2020
the only release of 2020 worth a darn
I have been lucky enough to visit Hobbiton in New Zealand - I was nearly crying the entire time I was there. :')
It felt so real and alive...
I'm lucky enough to live in New Zealand now, I thoroughly enjoy indulging in my Middle Earth fantasy every now and then :D
Same! It’s beautiful! I live in New Zealand and was lucky enough to go recently and it is gorgeous! The grass is long and wild and the wind is cool and refreshing. Straight out of the Tolkien universe.
Same.
Lucky you!!!🥰🥰🥰
This is something Game of Thrones can’t give you. A sense of going home to a place you’ve never been to. Coziness, safety, reassurance. Old friends you’ve dreamed about meeting.
Love the way you put that. It sounds like a line Tolkien would've put in his books, something Bilbo would've said.
@@hiswayservicesblog9288 oh my goodness thank you for this lovely comment 🥰
I literally heard the first notes and said out loud "I'm home! :D"
Definitely. Game of thrones doesn’t really give the nice cozy settle down vibe, lotr really killed it on that front
And a satisfying ending....
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
-C.S Lewis
have hope, my friend.
I feel you
You couldn't have said it better my friend.
I totally understand. Peaceful perfection while I study. Just amazing.
Same here.
Hey friend,
My dad was in the hospital, it was the final days of his life. He was losing his ability to breath from the Pancreatic Cancer in his lungs.
We loved lord of the rings. I found this, and we played it all the way through his passing.
It made me feel like he was just returning home.
Thank you so much, you are doing wonderful things for people by creating these.
The road goes ever on……………….
Sorry for your lost
Sorry my Friend
The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it: white shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise as "concerning hobbits" plays in the background
Wish you all the best, friend. And remember, not all tears are an evil
I would love to hear this while passing; you did a wonderful thing. What a lucky dad to have such a brave and caring friend like you.
I'm convinced that the good people on TH-cam are gathered here
“That there's some good on the internet, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.”
"I can't do this, Sam"...
"I know, it's all wrong, by rights we shouldn't even be here, but we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes, you didn't want to know the end, for how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. In the end, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't, because they were holding on to something."
"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."
"But Sam...can we survive this pandemic? Can we?" "Yes. Frodo. I believe we can. We can indeed. We just need to remember who we are and look to the sun."
I’m sobbing. Sam is the best character in the films.
Someone is cutting onions nearby....
@@Jenniferladybug Same is literally the best person in the films and the best friend
@@Raxian Sauron=the ruling-class elites that released this horror on us.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.
- Gimli
@@tiacarrie2561 Don't forget John Williams!
I took my family to see a tribute to John Williams. They could not believe att of the different instruments that were used. And after at dinner we were talking about how awesome it would be to see the orchestra play this music. I am looking fervently for a concert of such.
So amazing. I wish everybody commenting here were together in Bag End enjoying a feast and laughing and cheering and singing and dancing, then after I’d go watch the stars with a pipe in my hand and just be so content and happy of seeing everybody and being home...
this brought me to tears aah
@@elle7680 I really hope you find what you need, and some day, we can all feel like this in our own lives.
My friend that would save my life
To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.
Thank you!
Thank you!
I get goosebumps and teary-eyed every time I hear this music.
Me too, I immediately teared up at the start of this video. I just can’t help it!
same here, it just pours out such warmth
Me too. Also: You're one of the few other Ewans I've ever seen!
Too true
It’s always a pleasure coming back to The Shire 🥰
Always so nice
I'll always say yes to more LOTR music 😊
Oh ya
*YEA BOI*
PERIODT
Agreed!
Well said
Here here!
Thank you
🥺 beautifully said
The short piece of music behind Gandalf's song ("The road goes ever on and on") is so subtle and beautiful.
It's enough to make a grown man cry...
I've just got something in me eye, tis all
"... And then you see it... White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise"
I feel the same way.
I don’t get to say this often however, I sincerely love you all. The fans of Tolkien’s creations are the most welcoming and heartwarming community I’ve ever been apart of 🙏🏼
I don't know why, but it just makes me cry...there's a sense of longing there
I can see the whole Lord of the Rings movie, the whole saga over and over again and it still blows me away
The real question is: what kind of fool watched the movies/read the books and didn't fall in love?
That, my sir, is a solid point
I am glad. Music is an odd medicine for many things and has surprising results.
We found another one! Music and stories are important. ♥️
Hearing this calms me and makes me want to cry. A safe haven in a turbulent world. Truly, this video and comment section are a Shire.
Best way to spend a evening smoking and feasting. . i love drifting off to middle earth . thank you for taking me away from reality...
cheers to all!
That’s very kind❤❤
I appreciate words of kindness that's What the world lacks and desperately needs
Thanks, buddy!
19 years, and 2020 is by far the most challenging & crucial year for the planet. And then, when its cold outside, and the christmas days are on the horizon, there is no music that is more lovely and warming then this shire music. And, to close this, there is only one quote: "My friends. You bow to no one."
Crying because of that quote 😭😭😭😭
I have never had friends that like this kind of stuff like me. Bit when I scroll through the comments I feel like this is not only friends, but an entire family! It is amazing to finally have people to relate to. I am so happy that so many people can come together over such a small thing. Small yes,but wonderful.

We are your friends 😁
"Ah, music." said, Gandalf as he gazed over the shire, "a magic far greater than anything I know"
When does Gandalf say this? During Bilbo's birthday?
Dumbledore said something like that too
"I don't know half as many of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
This was unexpected and rather difficult. There was some scattered applause, but most of them were trying to work it out and see if it came to a compliment.
That’s what I call Tolkien Humor
Underrated line that took me way too long to understand as well. 😂
A remastered version of Lord of the Rings? Best day ever!
Listening to this on the 1st of March, I can tell: this is the sound of spring.
A lovely warm spring, full of life and quiet promise!
3:00-3:11 is truly one of the most musical sequences ever to grace the Earth.
Randomly read this in those exact moments
I remember when this part of the music plays in Fellowship of the ring, the Shire is just such a beautiful place
Love that you put Warcraft ambience with lord of the rings music, my two favorite franchises of all time.
I wish I could visit a shire like this. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It just gives me this amazing feeling and I feel like everything will be ok. No matter what. I really needed this.
The comments on this site reinforces my faith in humanity.

I just booked a stay at Earth House in Fairfield Virginia. A hand designed replica of Bilbo's house you can stay in. So excited!!
You are strong and wise, and I am very proud of you
I find that life is FAR MORE enjoyable with this video playing in the background. Thanks so much for posting!
This soundtrack gives me such a profound sense of longing and nostalgia, it sometimes makes me cry to listen to it.
Feels like home. Still can't believe how this trilogy has brought feelings as if we've lived during the third age. I'm so much in love with this...
Whoever that person is, they deserve an Oscar.
Playing this in the hospital cafeteria where I work!
This just made me cry. I always get misty during the first 20 minutes of The Hobbit. I wish I could live in the Shire.

All the Lord of the Rings' Ambiences give a wave of nostalgia for some reason. Thank you Ambient Worlds, Howard Shore, and J.R. R. Tolkien.❤
I want to cry and laugh all at the same time
Welcome home friend!
Working from home. This is the best soundtrack to have while working.
I am in love in Shire and LOTR, and I am afraid it’s for ever! Even after years I watch all that again and again...
It's like coming home again after a long journey.
Thank you for this. I'm stuck in the same room 24/hours a day between remote work and the pandemic, and this is a 6 hour hit of pure serotonin.
"The Lord of the Rings" makes joy hurt like pain.

Everyone needs a Sam in their life🥰 This music takes my heart ‘home’❤️ Oh, the calming sweetness❣️
It’s not the music that makes me cry, its reading the comment section while listening to the music that makes me teary eyed
Me too even at the public place..🥺
Man, when my son was born I played this song. And stay there, looking only at him.
Holy shit, first time I cried because I was happy.
The most heartbreaking thing is that I can never experience The Lord of the Rings for first time again. It is unlike any film and literary experience I've had before or since.
Same for Star Wars. I can never feel the awe of reading the opening crawl of The Phantom Menace ever again.
It feels like home, even though it's a place I've never been. I'd be a happy man to live "happily ever after to the end of my days" right here 😊. Who's with me?
Count me in! Though it would be a happy lady, of course!😂❤
I'm not an religous man......but if I were......this is what I considered heaven. Just living complete in harmony with nature......and peace.
I can only be comforted by the shire theme so many times, and then "Oh Sam...." starts going off in my head.
Shire is the place where everyone lives with no problems... I wish I could be there... Love LOTR films and music... Keep up the good work!!
