this was such a great trilogy and i am so grateful and blessed i can say i was here from start to end of this amazing franchise, this is by far one of my favorite franchises growing up, and it still is

I'm sad to see these movies end because they were literally my childhood, but it shows when one story ends another begins. HTTYD is by far one of my favorite series of movies ever, and I absolutely adore them. As a teenager around Hiccup's age in the first movie, and being sort of the oddball, I now see how much I can relate to the character, from his social awkwardness to his loyalty.

Y'know when the first HTTYD movie came out, it was going to be about a biking that kills a dragon, and couldn't forgive himself and disappeared (taken by dragons) and learned how to train them. But, dreamworks, them being them, made it into a movie that I, currently a 34 year old man married with 2 kids, loved. I relate to stoic, cause I try to do what's best for my kids, but they do what they want anyways, as I'm sure any adult reading this knows, but they always come back and say "I love you". In the first movie, when hiccup woke up fromhis (I assume coma) and had the start of the move (where he looks outside and says "dragons") and then looked back outside. In the second movie, it was when stoic died and when toothless became an alpha, and fought dragos Bewilderbeast that I had tears. In the third movie, it was when hiccup let toothless go, and as I have had several pets in my past, know its difficult to let go, and when it showed hiccup married to astrid with 2 kids. Christ I wrote a lot, but if you got this far I appreciate it (and would give you a cookie...if I had any and you were here). But anyway, even though I didn't grow up with them, they still got to me and I cannot forget the songs, the separate character themes, character, plot, animation, or John Powell. TL;DR: HTTYD made a 34 year old man cry in front of his wife and kids in the theatres

I really like "forbidden friendship" so much. When I first watched the movie, it was the first soundtrack I tried to search after. It was so soulful. I couldn't explain what I felt when I first heard it. How to train your dragon Trilogy has been my best animation movie of all time. Hands down!
I agree, "Forbidden Friendship" is one of the best tracks in this franchise. You can hear two different tunes that are slightly out of synch, but then grow closer together, until it is just replaced by one synched up new sound. John Powell did an amazing job with this one 👏👏👏

it’s 2021. i’m 15 years old. i got reconnected to this series over the past year. it is my childhood. it is currently almost all that i am living for. i remember watching the first movie when i was really little almost right after it came out. i remember waking up really early every morning excited to watch another episode of rob/dob. i have videos of my family and i watching the show all together at our old house. the second rtte came out i was so excited i screamed and my parents came in worried. they got me a toothless doll that christmas. i have watched every single short and every single episode. at the end of rtte when they showed the egg getting brought to Valka i wanted to know what would happen more than anything. but i had to wait. when httyd 2 came out i watched it in theatre with my family since now we all loved the series. i cried so hard when stoick died. time passed and i would watch the movies maybe once or twice every year but i stopped caring. when the third movie came out i honestly didn’t want to see it. i forgot how many amazing memories i had watching toothless and hiccup and the dragon riders grow up. i decided not to watch it and it is one of my greatest regrets. there was a dark place and i was in it. i watched the first httyd movie to get me out of it cause i knew it would cheer me up. and i was right. it made me remember all the amazing times this series has given me. the next day i decided to rewatch the entire series. i started with the three shorts then watched rob/dob. after i did that i watch dotdr and rtte. watching rtte got me more connected than ever. it didn’t bring me out of that dark place but it is helping me through it. i am chronically ill, and many members of my family are also sick with different illnesses. httyd has made the hospital trips and life changing events bearable. i learned their language (how to write in old norse) and made my own book of dragons but instead of just dragons it’s about every part of httyd. the amazing characters, their amazing dragons, the places they go, the people they meet, the enemies they fight and the family they lose. everything i have ever loved about this series is in these books (i really like to write so there’s multiple). httyd is my favourite thing in the world currently and if you are still reading this, thank you. thank you for listening to my story as i enjoyed reading everyone else’s.

forbidden friendship and test drive is BY FAR my favorite music pieces in these movies, and I LOVE how the creators used those pieces that were important throughout the whole film and TV series (HTTYD2, RTTE, HTTY3)
A few years ago, I used to play to Rise of Berk while doing an internship for the university (bad intern, I know 😋). Then one day, they switched the computers and my new one wasn't powerful enough to play. I was so sad... But I went to see The Hidden World for Valentine's Day and it made me want to download the game on my phone. And guess what? My Galaxy S7 can launch the game, unlike the shitty phone I had before! What a joy to find out that all my datas had been saved all these years! To find out that Splash, my beloved Scauldron, was waiting for me on Berk! And now this video, the best httyd ambiance one I've ever been listening to! This is definately a Dragon year! Thank you so much, you've made my whole week with it!

I was listening to the soundtrack on my commute back from work and nearly lost composure while driving. In Forbidden Friendship, you can hear Toothless and Hiccup's theme, but it's slower and some notes are missing, particularly the complex sequences and high notes, like the two characters are tentatively feeling their way around each other. They're getting to know each other. At the end, when the song gets to its climax, you hear Toothless' theme for the first time when it's not in a minor key, and you realize you've been able to hear it since the beginning. And the only way we hear this fully now before we go to the Test Flight scene is because Hiccup and us as the audience have begun to spend more time with him and notice aspects of his personality reveal himself as he learns to trust Hiccup more. I'm emotionally compromised over this soundtrack.
The saddest part of this is that there is a parting of the ways Hiccup and toothless are parted in the last movie .but when you have a horse or a dragon , and the only way that horse or dragon can live in safety is without you . Then you must really have a stonger kind of love to let go . I understand this all too well.
God.. I can feel a lot of my cinematic history in these tracks. These movies are only printed in my mind because I simply love them. I discovered them when I was entering the fantasy genre of literature and movies and omg I love them. I wish we could have learned more about the world these characters lives in before they were gone. Thank you httyd for growing with me.
I watched this movie a couple weeks ago with my mom, and we both loved it! I cannot even describe how to tell you how I am feeling right now. I didn’t grow up with it, yet I have SO MANY chills, and my eyes are tearing up
i did row up with it and i remeber watching it and the netflix series with my brothers but i think its a movie that no matter your age, you can enjoy this community . If you have not seen the series, it is rlly good so i totally recommend it as there are a tonne of characters it introduces that are not in any of the other movies,same animatioon,same voice actors.
I was the 900th like for this video & I feel that it's so much more underrated than it should be. This work is pure & whole & rips my heart out when all of the feels come back to hit me square in the gut! Share the love & spread the word about this amazing channel. It deserves a lot more credit than it currently has
I've been very sad lately about this franchise ending, but now I finally realize specifically why. We didn't just grow up with these characters; they grew up with us. When hiccup matured, we did as well. Another thing that really struck me was that there are no other options: With Riders/Defenders of berk and Race To The Edge they have filled up the timeline (not to say that I mind, those shows are amazing), I tried to watch The Nine Realms, but it just wasn't for me. They removed the one thing that didn't just make this another fantasy world: Dragons, not just any dragons, but OUR dragons. We shall never see Toothless fly again, we shall never see another one of hiccups inventions, we shall never see Toothless and Hiccup embrace, nor Astrid and Hiccup. Hiccup, Astrid, and all of the biking probably missed flying, and the fact that their children would never experience such wonder and majesty. Hiccup and Toothless probably thought about each other on their deathbed, saddened by the fact that our world was not ready to accept dragons. This saddens me beyond belief, I just can't believe it, it's all over, it's done, they're gone, the magic has died, our dragons have died, and I feel like a part of me has gone with them.

I begged my mom to go see it, and so we did. My mom ended up buying the movie for me. And what did I do? Filled up 3 tiny notebooks with all dragon types and their abilities, and I colored a drawing of toothless, using 3 black markers in full to do so. It spoke to me. I was a weird kid, and so was hiccup. I've been religiously keeping up with httyd ever since. I'm 19 now, and sometimes, I still catch myself looking in the sky and imagining toothless and hiccup swirling over clouds. I hear the thunder and think of the dragons that could cause it. This movie is and will be apart of me forever. Once a viking, always a viking. Once a dragon rider, always a dragon rider. This goes out to my fellow Berkians: don't forget the dragons. They're waiting.
This song is not just a soundtrack. It's a masterpiece, and nostalgic song that desires us to take back to childhood and naively wishes to ride a dragon to the sea and experience True Freedom. 😔😔😔

I won't lie, I didn't cry. At least the first and second time I watched I didn't. I have never cried because of a movie. Ever(Except when Stoick died and his funeral). So the first and second time I watched it, sure I was very sad but I didn't cry. It was only the third time when it really hit sooo close to home. I have had to let go of so many friends before. Two of which I was in the same class with for 6 years before I had to say goodbye. It made me realize what incredible, beautiful and powerful friendship journey the entire trilogy had me witness. It was a reflection of myself, showing all that someone can put into a friendship to all have it go away. It hit me in the heart because I had gone through the exact same thing so many times. I saw how valuable a friend can really be to your life and how sometimes to keep them close to you, you have to let them go. Right then and there is when I burst into tears. Thank goodness I was alone because if my family saw this they would think I was crazy. Sorry for making this so long but it is what I felt I had to say.
I seriously did not appreciate the first HTTYD film enough when it was released 10 years ago. Now I'm an animation major and these films inspire me so much.
HTTYD inspired so much of me. It has a place in my heart and mind, So do dragons That I favor. These movies and tv shows have always been my favorite since youth.

Hearing this music again makes me cry.. Ever since the nine realms came out it hasn’t looked anything like the old times At least it’s not like “Oop! You watched the movie time to erase it from existence now!“ they stay :) and race to the edge is always on Netflix you can rewatch it with you’re kids that didn’t know what you used to watch as a kid, re-living those moments.
The first movie came out when I was 6. I watched it everyday. Mostly because the soundtrack. And yeah.... now I'm 16 and I still love it and listen the soundtrack almost everyday because it's bring back a lot of good memory.

You can feel the raw emotions with every piece. You can also clearly hear every instrument but hear them working together to make a mysterious and engaging group of music.

it’s 2021. i’m 15 years old. i got reconnected to this series over the past year. it is my childhood. it is currently almost all that i am living for. i remember watching the first movie when i was really little almost right after it came out. i remember waking up really early every morning excited to watch another episode of rob/dob. i have videos of my family and i watching the show all together at our old house. the second rtte came out i was so excited i screamed and my parents came in worried. they got me a toothless doll that christmas. i have watched every single short and every single episode. at the end of rtte when they showed the egg getting brought to Valka i wanted to know what would happen more than anything. but i had to wait. when httyd 2 came out i watched it in theatre with my family since now we all loved the series. i cried so hard when stoick died. time passed and i would watch the movies maybe once or twice every year but i stopped caring. when the third movie came out i honestly didn’t want to see it. i forgot how many amazing memories i had watching toothless and hiccup and the dragon riders grow up. i decided not to watch it and it is one of my greatest regrets. there was a dark place and i was in it. i watched the first httyd movie to get me out of it cause i knew it would cheer me up. and i was right. it made me remember all the amazing times this series has given me. the next day i decided to rewatch the entire series. i started with the three shorts then watched rob/dob. after i did that i watch dotdr and rtte. watching rtte got me more connected than ever. it didn’t bring me out of that dark place but it is helping me through it. i am chronically ill, and many members of my family are also sick with different illnesses. httyd has made the hospital trips and life changing events bearable. i learned their language (how to write in old norse) and made my own book of dragons but instead of just dragons it’s about every part of httyd. the amazing characters, their amazing dragons, the places they go, the people they meet, the enemies they fight and the family they lose. everything i have ever loved about this series is in these books (i really like to write so there’s multiple). httyd is my favourite thing in the world currently and if you are still reading this, thank you. thank you for listening to my story as i enjoyed reading everyone else’s.

forbidden friendship and test drive is BY FAR my favorite music pieces in these movies, and I LOVE how the creators used those pieces that were important throughout the whole film and TV series (HTTYD2, RTTE, HTTY3)
A few years ago, I used to play to Rise of Berk while doing an internship for the university (bad intern, I know 😋). Then one day, they switched the computers and my new one wasn't powerful enough to play. I was so sad... But I went to see The Hidden World for Valentine's Day and it made me want to download the game on my phone. And guess what? My Galaxy S7 can launch the game, unlike the shitty phone I had before! What a joy to find out that all my datas had been saved all these years! To find out that Splash, my beloved Scauldron, was waiting for me on Berk! And now this video, the best httyd ambiance one I've ever been listening to! This is definately a Dragon year! Thank you so much, you've made my whole week with it!

I was listening to the soundtrack on my commute back from work and nearly lost composure while driving. In Forbidden Friendship, you can hear Toothless and Hiccup's theme, but it's slower and some notes are missing, particularly the complex sequences and high notes, like the two characters are tentatively feeling their way around each other. They're getting to know each other.
At the end, when the song gets to its climax, you hear Toothless' theme for the first time when it's not in a minor key, and you realize you've been able to hear it since the beginning. And the only way we hear this fully now before we go to the Test Flight scene is because Hiccup and us as the audience have begun to spend more time with him and notice aspects of his personality reveal himself as he learns to trust Hiccup more.
I'm emotionally compromised over this soundtrack.
The saddest part of this is that there is a parting of the ways Hiccup and toothless are parted in the last movie .but when you have a horse or a dragon , and the only way that horse or dragon can live in safety is without you . Then you must really have a stonger kind of love to let go . I understand this all too well.

God.. I can feel a lot of my cinematic history in these tracks. These movies are only printed in my mind because I simply love them. I discovered them when I was entering the fantasy genre of literature and movies and omg I love them. I wish we could have learned more about the world these characters lives in before they were gone. Thank you httyd for growing with me.
I watched this movie a couple weeks ago with my mom, and we both loved it! I cannot even describe how to tell you how I am feeling right now. I didn’t grow up with it, yet I have SO MANY chills, and my eyes are tearing up
i did row up with it and i remeber watching it and the netflix series with my brothers but i think its a movie that no matter your age, you can enjoy this community . If you have not seen the series, it is rlly good so i totally recommend it as there are a tonne of characters it introduces that are not in any of the other movies,same animatioon,same voice actors.

I've been very sad lately about this franchise ending, but now I finally realize specifically why. We didn't just grow up with these characters; they grew up with us. When hiccup matured, we did as well. Another thing that really struck me was that there are no other options: With Riders/Defenders of berk and Race To The Edge they have filled up the timeline (not to say that I mind, those shows are amazing), I tried to watch The Nine Realms, but it just wasn't for me. They removed the one thing that didn't just make this another fantasy world: Dragons, not just any dragons, but OUR dragons. We shall never see Toothless fly again, we shall never see another one of hiccups inventions, we shall never see Toothless and Hiccup embrace, nor Astrid and Hiccup. Hiccup, Astrid, and all of the biking probably missed flying, and the fact that their children would never experience such wonder and majesty. Hiccup and Toothless probably thought about each other on their deathbed, saddened by the fact that our world was not ready to accept dragons. This saddens me beyond belief, I just can't believe it, it's all over, it's done, they're gone, the magic has died, our dragons have died, and I feel like a part of me has gone with them.

The first movie came into theaters on my birthday. I begged my mom to go see it, and so we did. My mom ended up buying the movie for me. And what did I do? Filled up 3 tiny notebooks with all dragon types and their abilities, and I colored a drawing of toothless, using 3 black markers in full to do so. It spoke to me. I was a weird kid, and so was hiccup.
I've been religiously keeping up with httyd ever since. I'm 19 now, and sometimes, I still catch myself looking in the sky and imagining toothless and hiccup swirling over clouds. I hear the thunder and think of the dragons that could cause it. This movie is and will be apart of me forever. Once a viking, always a viking. Once a dragon rider, always a dragon rider. This goes out to my fellow Berkians: don't forget the dragons. They're waiting.

I won't lie, I didn't cry. At least the first and second time I watched I didn't. I have never cried because of a movie. Ever(Except when Stoick died and his funeral). So the first and second time I watched it, sure I was very sad but I didn't cry. It was only the third time when it really hit sooo close to home. I have had to let go of so many friends before. Two of which I was in the same class with for 6 years before I had to say goodbye. It made me realize what incredible, beautiful and powerful friendship journey the entire trilogy had me witness. It was a reflection of myself, showing all that someone can put into a friendship to all have it go away. It hit me in the heart because I had gone through the exact same thing so many times. I saw how valuable a friend can really be to your life and how sometimes to keep them close to you, you have to let them go. Right then and there is when I burst into tears. Thank goodness I was alone because if my family saw this they would think I was crazy. Sorry for making this so long but it is what I felt I had to say.

I seriously did not appreciate the first HTTYD film enough when it was released 10 years ago. Now I'm an animation major and these films inspire me so much.
HTTYD inspired so much of me. It has a place in my heart and mind, So do dragons That I favor. These movies and tv shows have always been my favorite since youth.

Hearing this music again makes me cry.. Ever since the nine realms came out it hasn’t looked anything like the old times At least it’s not like “Oop! You watched the movie time to erase it from existence now!“ they stay :) and race to the edge is always on Netflix you can rewatch it with you’re kids that didn’t know what you used to watch as a kid, re-living those moments.
End of an Era...but it will always be looked at as one of the greatest trilogies of movies ever (homecomings an epilogue)

The first movie came out when I was 6. I watched it everyday. Mostly because the soundtrack.
