I wasn’t much interested in this case , first of all I thought it was a cut and dry case. Listening to Lee makes one interested. She is amazing
The railing is most likely Corten steel, which is used in outdoor construction and will develop a rusty patina fairly quickly. However, it's not "rusting away", and isn't meant to be painted.
Yet Libby and Abby seemed to think it was a lark. Running on that bridge, messing with cell phones. One wrong step and they would've fallen to their deaths.
Thanks for sharing your video. It makes evidence in this case much more clear. You can also see how hard it is to see deeper into the woods. He had those girls out of sight of any other hikers.
LE doesn't want to give a fair, constitutionally compliant trial. They just want to frame him, drive him mad so he confesses, and get him locked away for life or unalived as a scapegoat to their shoddy work and bad investigation. It's not the first time and sadly won't be the last.
I can imagine the girls being quiet while threatened and worried about each other. I can imagine the perpetrator telling them to undress, then seeing the van, killing them in panic, running away somewhere to the cemetery. But tell me, how and why did Abby's jeans and Libby's sweatshirt end up in the creek? Did the perpetrator throw them from the bank? Wouldn't it be risking, that they would be caught on some branch? Or, if he was so afraid to be seen, why going back to the creek to throw the clothing in? The colourful sweatshirt was in the end the first trace of the girls that was found. It doesn't make sense. I know crime scenes are not organized, they are chaotic, but this doesn't even make sense according to how R.A. was describing it. Just one big WTF. Thank you for your dedication, lawyer Lee! I subscribed. Sending thoughts from Switzerland.
I’ve been wondering that too. Maybe he had them take their clothes off before crossing the river in the area below the private drive before he saw the van. Then they crossed the river carrying their clothes and Abby dropped hers? Also he said that he didn’t realize they were so young and Abby was definitely younger looking so maybe he told her to put the clothes on. His confessions and bizarre behavior in the prison makes me think this guy is capable of feeling guilt or conflicted feelings so having her redress doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility. I don’t think he took the time to redress Abby after he killed her. I think he made her redress. She was over 5 foot 4 and under 100 pounds. She definitely looked like a very young girl.
It's a lot easier to control two people if one of them is naked. Libby would have been the bigger threat to Bridge Guy, both literally and figuratively. Having her strip naked would give BG a big advantage, and having Abbey put on Libby's pants would make it easier to control her, too. She would have trouble running away while wearing pants a couple of sizes too big. And for good measure, have Abbey put on the rest of Libby's clothes so you don't leave any evidence behind. In the rush to move the girls into a more secluded space, a couple of items were left behind in the creek.
@@BuzzyStreet I think if it was RA, he wasn't thinking very clearly and that's why it's chaotic. He was a bit drunk, thought it was going to be easy, and immediately regreted it and panicked. Told the girls to undress, than to redress, run, stop... To me, the wound on Abby, being on the left side of her neck, looks like he held her from behind, by her chin (the faint lines), cut her, dropped her, caught up with Libby, pressed her against the tree... Horrible. Chaotic, awful. And maybe he burried the memory, with the depression the only thing remaining. :( Still, even if it was like that, they weren't supposed to practically torture him in prison, it just made the whole thing even more complicated.
How did two girls having a walk together end in such horror? It's so sad. Women and girls are not safe anymore, count how many times a year this happens just in your own country.
My guess is if they didn’t scream was at first he threatened to kill one or the other if they made a noise. Perhaps he said he’d let them go if they were quiet. By the time the murdered one the other girl was probably in shock or frozen in fear? I hate the way people assume, and state they would do this or that. No, you have no idea how you or your body would react in a situation like this.
I drove 40 miles to walk on the trail a couple of days ago. I left some flowers from my garden, said a prayer and drove home. RIP Abby and Libby.

Such a beautiful place to have such a horrific crime happen to 2 innocent girls! Thank you Lee for bringing us there through your eyes!
Fall foliage is always beautiful, but the crime happened in February and the scene looked much different then. Desolate, gray, cold and eerie. Plus the bridge has been repaired.
Thank you for such thorough coverage of this trial!
Thanks for the video it gives us an enlightened view of the scene
Beautiful and eerie
Wow that was really helpful! Thank you Lawyer Lee.
LEE don't walk by yourself. Thank you for such a professional channel. Thank you for all the respect you show
It’s ok. RA is locked up.
It’s ok RA is in jail .. but more perverts are born every minute
I wish someone would’ve told the girls that. 🥹
@@nenehoward8629My first thought was omg these teen girls were walking on this high bridge with no barriers. They could have tripped off anything. Obviously I know that was the least of their worries now but that is a dangerous spot for even an adult to be walking.
Thank you Lawyer Lee for your coverage and just being you….. you’re fab! ❤
I’m so glad you went out there. This is such a good video. I went out at night the first night I was there, but I just got overwhelmed with emotion and had to stop.
Thank you for doing this! That water is amazingly clear.
Thank you for this video, Lee! I appreciate your hard work on this case.
Thank you for covering. ♥️
Thank you so much Lawyer Lee for taking us on this very important tour of the area. Now everything is starting to make sense of what this bridge was all about.
If you watch Julie Melvins' video from 7 years ago, once you have seen the area, her video will make it clearer how the area around the bridge is. Thank you for doing this.
Excellent footage Lawyer Lee much appreciated to give us a Birds Eye view
Spectacular photographers dream place to currently shoot . Thank you Lee I’m hoping you go and video the Libby and Abby Memorial park while you’re there. Especially the baseball field and engraved bricks. Worthy cause I’ve donated to. 🙏🏼
My daughter was in a very scary situation with several men. And you don't scream because you're frozen with fear. If you've ever been so frightened, you will know that you sometimes can't even scream.
This is the way I spend my free time. It rips my heart apart when a child is laughing then gets hurt. 🙏🕯️❣️for the family. RIP girls with no more hurt.😢
Thank you so much, Lawyer Lee, for showing us the beautiful Autumnal colours of the leaves on the Monon High Bridge. It is very scenic and understandable that many would go walking there including Abby and Libby.
RIP Abby and Libby
Thank you so much for taking us to the bridge soo 😢 so many ?'s don't know how 1 person could do this you are a very special person 💕
Thanks for the walk, Lee. So very sad that such a beautiful and peaceful area has forever been tainted by the actions of a monster or monsters. I await the defense’s case and further evidence to convince me beyond a reasonable doubt that Richard Alan is the monster.
Thank You so much Lee for taking us with you. ❤
Good morning and Happy Friday!
Thank you Lawyer Lee!!! Your coverage is amazing.
😢😢❤❤ its beautiful scenery thank you for sharing this VIDEO 😊
Thank you for doing this for us. So sad but definitely gives a perspective.
The scenery is so pretty.
I cry watching this video. It’s me and my best friend “exploring”. We had so many close calls and laughed together about each one. Years later we marveled at our naïveté and good fortune.
Exploring can get you killed.
L.L. Is amazing !! There should be some type of award she could get for this coverage. There are just some people in life that are meant to teach and Lee is one of those people.
Thank you so much for all that you’re doing in the name of justice. ❤
Thanks! RA did not do this terrible thing.
How on earth was that bridge accessible to the public without rails? Seems extremely dangerous!
Yet Libby and Abby seemed to think it was a lark. Running on that bridge, messing with cell phones. One wrong step and they would've fallen to their deaths.
Yes and parents allowed them to go on the trail alone.
Thanks for sharing your video. It makes evidence in this case much more clear. You can also see how hard it is to see deeper into the woods. He had those girls out of sight of any other hikers.
One can completely understand why, on such a mild February day, the girls wanted to take a walk in the park.
They were not in a park. They were on a dangerous bridge with few people around in a desolate wooded area.
Thanks for your work and helping us get a Birds Eye view of the trial and now the location.
What a beautiful place ❤. Thank you Lee.
Very interesting! Thanks for making the trip and reporting on it!
Wow. Thanks for showing this. Really appreciate gorgeous area. Poor babies
I just found your channel yesterday. Great work!! Happy I found you. :)
???? If Allen is so mentally disturbed, why wasn't a competency hearing called to see if he was fit to stand trial? ???
LE doesn't want to give a fair, constitutionally compliant trial. They just want to frame him, drive him mad so he confesses, and get him locked away for life or unalived as a scapegoat to their shoddy work and bad investigation.
It's not the first time and sadly won't be the last.
You go above and beyond. Thank you!
@@lucybarrington4634 That's very possible, the way you imagine it. I agree on his behavior, too. Thank you for the reaction.
Still, even if it was like that, they weren't supposed to practically torture him in prison, it just made the whole thing even more complicated.
@@elliesenko5173 I agree with you. You’ve painted a very realistic picture of what could have happened.
Thank you from Aurora, Colorado. You have a great podcast
We love you Lawyer Lee. ❤
Thank you for filming this, it made things a B lot more clear and real.
How did two girls having a walk together end in such horror? It's so sad. Women and girls are not safe anymore, count how many times a year this happens just in your own country.
Boys and men are victims of violent crime too. Would you imagine even walking onto the bridge to be a safe activity? Nope, but people still did it.
Praying for Justice for Libby and Abby and sending an abundance of my prayers, love and comfort to their families.
