    This defense attorney really has to work on her likability if she's gonna be trying to win over juries and the public for a living. Her defensive body language, her shrill voice, her contempt and arrogance, her crazy eyes popping out the sockets every time she opens her mouth. She is an absolute piece of work.

    I will never comprehend why dads who are known not to want to parent their kids suddenly want full custody when separating. They do it for revenge and to use their kids as pawns. It's disgusting and psychopathic.

    • @HeatherRiosArte
      @HeatherRiosArte 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      Since they've never been involved, they don't understand how hard parenting actually is. Also, they don't want to pay child support and think raising kids is cheap.

    • @jessicahannah2522
      @jessicahannah2522 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Because they don't want to pay child support. Three kids? It was going to be hefty. But if you can get 50/50 custody, no child support. That is the motivation for a parent whose prior involvement was minimal.
      My former husband wanted, if not sole custody then at least 50/50, even though he traveled internationally nine months out of the year lol. His plan was to leave the kid with his elderly mother while he globe trotted, rather than pay child support. He even admitted I was a really good mom, in court, that this wasn't because he thought I was a bad parent. He just didn't want to pay child support and the other things that went along with being non-custodial.
      At that hearing, that determined custody, the judge just looked at the ex and shook his head. I rec'd sole custody, namely because of the ex's globe trotting, which meant he often was unavailable for emergencies, considerations, decisions that had to be made at that moment, etc. I'm grateful it was that simple because I had a TON of evidence on him being unavailable and/or unreachable for important things.
      One example was when she fell (two years old, they fall a LOT lol) but this time we had to have a plastic surgeon do the stitching since the tear was her lip line. When I called daddy to let him know kidlet is in the hospital, getting a plastic surgeon, etc. his response was: "Why are you calling me?" and hung up. No "How is she? Is the surgeon good? What hospital?" Nothing but "Why are you calling me?". He was less than ten miles away, thought he'd want to know and perhaps, you know, come see her? Nope.
      It was in Wisconsin, which was a straight 17 percent of gross income, and he made seriously good money, so it was going to be HEFTY. Years later I suggested we do a much lesser amount since I was earning more than enough myself, and he gratefully agreed. He paid child support faithfully up until her 18th b'day, so there are dads out there who are not deadbeats even if not the best father.

    • @Yosetime
      @Yosetime 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jessicahannah2522 Why do I keep finding you here? Are you on a mission? lol The child support 'theory'.....agreed. Although not all countries split child support like that. Many countries will even out any imbalance of financial burden even if couples split the kids 50/50. So many ex's have tried the same scheme as yours that it's practically a core school subject now. Men just seem to rarely get the picture, try every trick in the book, and end up having a Judge put them in their place before the dust settles.

    1.) What random intruder CLIMBS ONTO THE ROOF, to break into a window in a conveniently "empty" kid's room? Oh and those kids just happen to be asleep at someone else's house!
    2.) Is it just me that thinks Tim's lawyer speaks in a way about him that seems more personal than professional? Not that they are involved, but that her answers in defense of him sound a tad too defensive. Like a woman defending a guy she likes that someone else is bashing in front of her. She is also overly snarkey when she talks about Becky. 😮

      If you watch these very often, you can tell right away which one the convicted one is by the location they are filming and how they film it. If they have access to the convicted person, they do closeups so you can't see the prison clothing. They blur the background so you can't see the prison setting and other little tricks. Even if outdoors, they film it so you can't see the fencing, the guards, all of it. If they don't have access, you can tell by the fact that they only show still photos that are years old, everyone discusses them in the past tense, they spend a LOT of time talking about their 'history'. It's very formulaic and familiar to anyone whose seen more than four or five of 48 Hours episodes.
      I still find them interesting.

      @@jessicahannah2522 I think she was referring to other aspects of the way he portrayed himself, compared to the ever-growing evidence that he was desperate to regain control. Personally, I think his appeal is going to end up being 'ineffective counsel'. Why else would he allow her to not call a single witness? To be sure, he was fully in control of his divorce/defense attorney! Fully! I think he probably could have convinced her to dress up as a unicorn for court and she would have! I'll have to find out what his appeal ended up being about. He would have needed to file it awhile ago now.

      I think he's guilty, lets get that out of the way. Just on what is presented on the show, nothing more.
      But, I have to say, a LOT of women present their current partner AND exes as "abusive".
      A lot of men present THEIR exes as "psycho" and 'crazy'.
      Yes, they both most assuredly lie about this, for reasons I do not understand. I have had my share of ex boyfriends, partners, husband. But I've never described any as abusive. However, I have listened to a LOT of my friends/family go on about their 'abusive' current partners and numerous exes. A lot of them. And no, they are not in fact abusive. Most are referring to someone simply not giving in to them, or doing what they demand, or saying no, or over riding them on a decision, etc.
      At a holiday party, way last century, a dozen couples, one of the wives had waaay too much to drink and went full on insane on her husband. We felt like dirt witnessing this blatant abuse, and tried to intervene. They packed up and went home and for weeks afterward we were all barraged with "HE"S SO ABUSIVE! I'm TERRIFIED of him!". Oh, Louise, we were there. He's not the abusive one, honey. We heard and saw everything, and have for years now. Still together though (shrug).
      It just seems to be part of the process of separating anymore, is to lay that title on the departing partner. Women say "abusive", men say "psycho".
      All I can say, Louise, is if EVERY partner you've had is 'abusive' you might look at your own contributions to the relationship lol. And Colby, same for you, if all your ex GF's are 'psycho', they aren't the problem lol

  • @Yosetime
    @Yosetime 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

    Didn't he work his divorce attorney over?!! She fell for him hook, line, and sinker! Gave him a free defence, spoke like she was personally insulted on his behalf, and used "we" way too many times to not be in an intimate relationship with the guy. And that's what he was going for all along. Wouldn't that be just the easiest way to make sure your divorce lawyer, and criminal lawyer, fought for you beyond reason for nearly zero pay? She's gonna look back at herself a few years from now and wonder how she had been so very fooled! And then come to understand how Becky was fooled for as long as she was.
    I knew he was guilty the moment I heard what he said on that show. That was 2 years before the divorce and he was laughing at himself well before he answered that question. Nobody would think that line was going to come off as funny. Did he have no concern for how embarrassed and humiliated his wife would be to hear her husband not just say that to absolutely everyone that they knew, but on national television? Of course he didn't. He said that because that's what passive aggression looks like. As does narcissism and extreme manipulation. It was an opportunistic, vengeful way to display how much he despised her for not allowing him to control her. She had become a nurse all on her own while raising 3 kids, also practically on her own, and was also becoming financially and socially independent again. That was the thing he complained had 'changed' about her. He was so worried about that he filed for divorce and began a campaign of manipulating their interactions in an attempt to sway the way people saw both of them. I suppose he should have practiced more!
    Men who know a divorce is about to be served on them, and who are determined to not be the one who is served, often do take a giant step forward to be the one who files first and serves his wife. Control. Makes them real mad when they find out that they went to all that trouble for nothing because every judge and divorce lawyer on the planet has already seen that move a million times already. lol
    He had to have lost a whole lot of sleep planning his next move and doing all that stalking, plus romancing and manipulating his FEMALE lawyer (also a purposeful decision over a male lawyer). He must have been exhausted. I hope that for the rest of his life he will continue to lose sleep while planning his next move just to stay above water in prison.
    If what they fear about Tim's father is true, then I suppose it wouldn't be a giant leap to suspect that Tim had been a victim of his father when he was young? Is that why he's such a control freak? Why he is so very well rehearsed in manipulation over how people see him? Seems plausible. Not that it matters now. Nobody cares. That family needs to never think about this dirtbag again and move forward with those boys, however that is done. I have no idea how. She was a beautiful woman. Gone too soon.

    Tim is guilty. Spoken word is a fractional part of conversation, while his words said one thing, his body said another.
    Also, not all abuse is physical. Just because there are no injuries or proof of injuries doesn't mean Becky wasn't abused.
    Tim's attorney should be ashamed of herself. Does SHE even believe what she's peddling, or is that why she's so loud and arrogant? Because she's trying to convince herself? 🤔
    Rest in peace, Becky. Prayers for your family's broken hearts. ❤
