That knob was for the tanning bed timer. These are most certainly old tanning rooms they converted after taking the beds out. That’s why there’s a huge outlet next to the twin bed. You need a 220v for things like electric dryers, stoves, etc. That’s what’s needed for a tanning bed too, as opposed to our usual 100v plug ins.
This is a game changer, I'm always close to death after a weekend in Vegas and my time at the airport is a miserable hungover haze, now I can just go early and nap.
If you are active duty or reserve military, or retired military , there are USO lounges in major airports where you can also take a nap as well. They do have limited hours, from 8a to 8p, and 8a to 4p at the Las Vegas airport, so they might not have beds, but some USOs do.
@@dontcare563 yes, technically its for active duty, but every USO i have visited, i asked the volunteer if its okay(im retired miitary) and they have always say its okay. So far i havent had someone enforce the Active Duty only rule. I also always leave a donation.
great info. My brother is flying into Vegas a day before catching his flight to Honolulu @ 5.40AM,so he will be at the airport for 6 hrs. This will be great.
As a solo elderly woman traveler, I wouldn't be very comfortable with this arrangement even though I am very familiar with the Las Vegas Airport. I would be willing to pay for the Minute Suites that some airports have or even a nice airside capsule sleeping room but our American airports are just not set up for that sort of thing.
Yes, I did stay at a sleep room in San Francisco before leaving for Japan the next morning. I left Chicago around 8pm arrive in San Francisco aroun 11pm. I was able to book the sleep from Midnight to 7am. I had to be out at 7am. My flight to Japan left at around 10am. The room had a full size bed, a chair, a small desk for a laptop, and a television. I found out about this sleep room just be doodleling around on the internet. I paid $120. (2017). Everything worked out great.
Wow, never knew about this. Thanks for the heads up Jay. BTW, I think that dial in the room may have been for the air conditioner/heater but now just a toy to play with.
Interesting concept to repurpose the space and make a profit. I do agree that two pillows is a must. Maybe they can ask people if they want an additional pillow or not if they’re trying to save on washing pillowcases. Hopefully they see your review and start including that!
I've went in for just a shower...I think it was $20ish. I knew about it because it used to be a 24 hour fitness and I went in frequently back in the day to shower when I was homeless and living in the airport.
Great find, Jay! We've been to this airport many many times and had no idea they had sleep rooms in the airport. HNL airport needs this, I got bumped overnight there once, no fun. lol
Thanks! I agree, sleep rooms at HNL would be perfect prior to a long flight out of there. I cant wait to get back to HI this Summer. Hope to see you in person before the year’s end!
For a few hours of sleeping, maybe I'll just rest on those free seats by the airline gates LOL, this being Vegas they'll probably start charging to sit on those free seats and add resort fees and taxes! Oh, also tipping will be required! Welcome to Las Vegas, please come again !
Great video and info! The 10hr package that can be used in increments makes sense. Beyond 2 hours you might as well extend your hotel or stay at a cheap option if it's just to sleep. Though you might need a rest going from Term 1 to say Term 3 LOL
Your content is absolutely amazing. I'm going to Vegas soon and you and the people you collab with has made planning very easy and fun. I love being a jaycationer ❤
Hi Jay, great video. Thanks for sharing that helpful information on Zero Level Fitness. I never knew that they had sleep rooms there at the airport. Good information to have. Would I ever use it if it were available? I don't know. Never say never.
Thanks for showing us that sleep room. I wonder if other USA airports have the. I saw a video with a guy in Instabul ,Turkey and they had sleeping pods. I thought it looked small, and a bit expensive. It wasn't clear if you got any sleep. I probably would rest in an airport chair and to save money.
Who ever knew that there’s such a opportunity to stay at the Las Vegas airport 🤔Nice premises , variety on the vending machines were great , very nice premiere😎Thank you Jay 🙂👍!!!
Have you ever done a video on the Tampa Bay area that would include Tampa-St. Petersburg- Clearwater.I'm planning my first ever trip to San Diego in mid-june,my first ever trip to California, your videos made me decide choose San Diego as my first choicice.
Emergency charging for your phone for 2 hours is cool. When you're hungover, you get to sweat it out and shower it off to allow a person to feel fresh again at the Airport. That's great!
The Priority Pass lounge is also a nice oasis if you’re stuck at the airport and worth the $$. Lots of credit cards have PP benefits so as low as $95 annually.
I have Priority Pass and while the lounges are nice, they are open for limited hours and have limited space. There are some airports that have Minute Suites? where you can nap but the lounges don't have sleep areas. I think in LV the lounge closes at 10pm.
heres a hack , go to massage place and get 1 hour massage is about 225 with tip , and u can go and sleep in there chairs there!! better then the ones in waiting area,
Jaycation really does bring the best infotainment 👍 the sleep room wasn't even the best bit, it's that lego vending machine 👏 thanks for sharing these wonders with the world 😁
That's so awesome you did this video! 😀 I fell asleep partway through the premiere, sorry. 😕 My degenerate self was up all morning playing cards. Soooooo tirrrrrrred! 😭
I’m not going pay $40 for two hour nap The bed sheets and blankets may not be washed And not going to fall sleep right away By the time is up I think is just wasted money and time But thanks for video
zero level fitness will get zero dollars from me. $40 for a 2-hour nap? lol no freaking way. I rather watch CNN on any airport tv coz that will put me to sleep in 30 seconds for free.

It used to be a tanning room. That knob is a timer for the tanning bed. They should offer quality earplugs and a wake up call.

Jay.. the knob is for the speaker system in the gym, but it’s disconnected. I used to manage ZEROLevel Fitness.😉
Oh nice! How long has Zerolevel fitness been around?
I just stayed here. 1st timers get 5 hours for $50 flat fee. My room was way more girly and cute. I loved it. Made a 15 hour layover doable.

The knob could be volume control for the PA system. We had the same knob for speakers at my old job.
