Totally agree. There will be an investigation...as there should be. But...let's not start switching the blame to the police....that's what Republicans want and will do, instead of placing the blame squarely where it belongs....their grotesque dereliction of duty to enact any responsible gun laws, including banning the AR-15 that was used to kill 21 people in minutes. The shooter was barricaded in a room with a weapon of war, that is designed to kill the highest amount of people, in a matter of minutes. There poor babies and their brave teachers were shot as soon as he entered. Responsible gun legislation is LONG OVERDUE.

For people saying “it’s protocol” the cops should’ve thought selflessly and gone in to save as many children’s lives as possible, that’s what the police are for. I can only imagine how many of the 21 lives that could’ve been saved if they would’ve gone in sooner. Instead, they stood outside like cowards and did nothing, absolutely nothing while those poor kids were inside, getting slaughtered or seeing their friends getting murdered right before their eyes while the gunman roams around freely, doing whatever he wants.

Does the victim gain peace from an extra charge pressed-- one that must be relived to bring about justice? Witnesses are dragged through a bloated justice system. It would have been nice if those policemen had the courage or if there wasn’t laws preventing teachers from being able to defend themselves and students. What’s childish is believing someone who breaks laws like bringing gun on gun free zones and breaking the law of murder 19 times could have been stopping by more laws. The kid could have gotten these guns off the streets easier, faster, and cheaper. “That’s a tough question. Our job is to report the facts.” Said the public relations officer to the reporter’s question, “Should officers have gone in sooner?” No, your job is to protect, the media’s job is to report the facts. It seems that the fact is your officers choked. Firefighters keep putting water on a fire until backup arrives. Police should have done the same. Those officers decided to preserve their own lives over the lives of the helpless children inside. “Should officers have gone in sooner?” Yes! Rather than running away from danger officers should have drawn the shooter’s fire until backup arrived. You had plenty of officers outside controlling the crowd while the shooter was killing children, bravo!

They absolutely should have been applying constant pressure; nothing else is acceptable unless an actual hostage situation developed. And, frankly, forcing a hostage situation would have been better than allowing the shooter to just run amok in the school. It would have bought police time and meant that the shooter would not be in a position to keep actively killing. A hostage situation would have been desirable over what they allowed the gunman to do. Pathetic

It doesn't help anybody. Do you know what helps after such events? Fucking healthcare, that this child get help without a fucking gofundme page. And what helps to prevent such Events? Fucking gun control. I'm from germany and mass shootings in schools or in generell are unheard of. Why? Because we have strict gun control and universall healthcare. Our mental ill get help and because of Background checks and mental health checks they don't have guns. Oh and of course only our Military is allowed to have fucking Assault Riffles. You can own a Pistole or a normal Riffle with 1 or 2 shoots if you hunt but you need a licens(a lot of training) and must follow strict rule, like a safe for your weapons and you need to store your guns and ammo away from each other. If you had trouble with the law, no guns for you. Drug problems, sry no gun for you either. It's that simple. At the moment the American society is fucked up. In a normal society you don't need to pray that Mia gets the help she needs, because that she get all the help possible, should be normal.

Just look at how many natural and human caused disasters have happened in the last 2 years, the frequency of these disastrous events have gone up dramatically globally. We have been forsaken by the heavens. Now, only we humans have the power through unity to save ourselves. The higher powers that may be have all but forsaken us all.
