Dollarama DIY - Removable Shelf Panels - Hide the contents of your shelf!

- I have a lot of stuff in a small room which forces me to shove everything into shelves. However, I could never make them look good. To hide all the clutter I decided to make shelf panels out of foam board and shelf paper!
I also wanted to have a white shelf but my mom wouldn't let me paint it so I had to cover it in white self adhesive vinyl.
All the materials can be found at the dollar store!
Great Job. You can attach lightweight drawer handles, to easily remove panels.

Why not just stick Velcro on the top shelve and add a big piece of fabric . That's much easier ? Isn't it ?

Jezlyn Teo thank you! That's exactly what I'm going to do. I want to hide just the two bottom shelves, and I don't want to deal with nails and stuff..not sure how I didn't think of Velcro but you're a genius!! 👍. You just saved me searching through videos.
That's what i did. cut two doors out of thick foam core, covered with wood contact paper, put some handles on, stuck on with velcro. Ugly shelf now looks like a million bucks

Cool idea. I was thinking of making a fabric cover with a zipper that covers the whole bookcase, but these are some good options.
It's cute, but I think adding some little hinges (glue them on) and a little handle of some kinda would be easier to access stuff. Just an idea.
I would use nice tapes to tape the top of each cardboard to its respective upper shelf line a hinge connector. Then create handle using tape for the bottom of each cardboard for easily opening and closing.

I did similar but I taped each panel to the top so I lift the panel up.
I like this, very nice! I think I will do this for my bookshelf.

That's a good idea Iv done something similar but what I did was attach photographs of my so it kinda looks like a purpose built display
Everything is OK but everytime we should open and close the shelf that is bad idea

What are you using paper or cloth
It's a sticky lined paper called shelf adhesive! But you can also use cloth

Pero clever but I’d put hinges held by double sided tape, or magnets to hold them in place. Not just by sheer pressure.
Is it okay if the rolls are non-adhesive?
It's fine however you'll need to use glue to stick it on :)

Yeah good idea! This is just a cheaper fast option for kids, or those who aren't really handy :)
@@knuxnbatSunnyDIY actually ended up going with an old curtain rod I had placed it on to plastic standoffs and used a thin black curtain
