How does someone even DESIGN something so complicated like this, much less 3D sculpt it, render AND animate it along with music? It just blows me away.

Believe it or not they designed an animation program that reacted to the music, most likely by MIDI file recognization.

The power source for all of animusic, the Fiber bundles are nothing short of legendary. It is the basis of the civilization, and its colorful performance is responsible for powering the Heavy light temple, the drum machine, the harmonic voltage beacon, and everything in between. Entirely automatic, the device is only entered by people once every year for inspection, for the entire planet depends upon its power.

Meanwhile, far below the Heavy Light temple, in the depths of the catacombs, lies another musical secret waiting to be discovered. But only those who are worthy of it's sonic power, may enter the ancient chamber of fiber Bundles. There, after the song is finished, some lucky few just might notice the corridor below the drums. Where it leads is unknown. But legend says that opens up onto an electrified landscape filled with radio towers and strange beams of energy creating a beautiful Harmonic Voltage.
But the legends don't stop there. Oh no... There's more. It is also said that in ancient times, sentient mechanical beings traveled far from their homeworld on a Starship called "Groove". When they found a young Earth, they built magnificent structures to create their mysterious, yet beautiful music. It has been thousands of years since those visitors came. Some say that to this day, believers and followers of the ancient ones are still around. There is speak of even more creations like a massive drum machine hidden in a historic clock-tower, or an intricate guitar-like contraption with insect-like "fingers" that plays a beautiful acoustic song. Below that, in another chamber, of the same structure, a long thin shaft contains stringed instruments and drums on delicate curved rails. Or.. or there's the high tech warehouse filled with lasers and reflectors surrounding strange guitar.. I have heard that the one in area 51... But who knows? There is even supposed to be a great cathedral where majestic horns and a great organ is rumored to periodically begin to play.
Sadly, these days, it seems that these followers of the ancient ones have gone quiet. No longer building their great musical creations. Maybe they are waiting for something. Maybe the ancients need to return on the Starship Groove, and reignite the passion for music again.
Hopefully that day will be soon....

These are the remains of Project Harmonic Voltage. They didnt get help. The green tubes are the remains of their green lazer leader. After 6 years of not being rescued, they didnt give up. So they built Fiber Bundles in hopes of the players of Starship Groove to find this. They would use the remains of green lazer to power their starship and then fly to whats left of the Heavy Light Pyramid. The starship groove players kept on working for 3 years until they rebuilt (coming soon in animusic 3... hopefully. We pray Wayne will recover from his depression.)

When i listen to some music, similar to this, I do lay back, close my eyes and let imagination do some work. I feel that this is when music can take on a physical format, all-be-it in ones mind. This video is evidence of that as the creator has seen this in their mind they had the talent and ability to take it from their mind and let others see what music can look like.

  • @davekintz
    @davekintz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I remember a discussion I had with a friend, 30 years ago, that when I closed my eyes and listened to music, I could "see" the music. I couldn't really describe it then (no, it wasn't drugs!) Fiber Bundles is very close to what my minds eye was seeing back then...My favorite Animusic!

For a long time, I imagined this is what a sentient aquatic race's automated entertainment system would look like, what with the organic look to the setup.
But then the brain-like wiring setup made it seem like a sentient musically inclined core, such as that of the Starship Groove, and the light pulses its nerve impulses.

I just recently thought of my own story for this
Proceed if you want to read my dumb random story
The fiber bundles, truly something legendary, both a music source and an incubator, this structure was made to incubate the eggs of legendary creatures, the music stimulating the unborn creatures and the lines (except for the drums which are purely for music) providing nutrients to the creatures growing inside the eggs, every now and again when necessary it activates, continuing the incubation process, for the creatures, this is something to be remembered as one of the greatest inventions of time.

An ancient, everlasting civilization, well educated in technology and astronomy, and intertwined with music. Knew their home was in grave danger, they built a temple, every thousand years it would play a song, or as they modestly put it, a spell. To keep the planets above their heads from colliding, and they named the temple heavy light, and it’s power source, Drum Machine
The civilization thrived for eons. Until one fateful day, Heavy Light, her gears groaning her magic diminishing, was unable to play her song. The people created a new machine, a message, to anyone who would listen, entailing their history, their resonant chambers, cathedral pictures, pipe dreams, future retros. Along with their evolution, from stick figures to pogo sticks. And lastly, above all, a cry for help, they named the machine, harmonic voltage.
As a backup plan, they sent five brave men out into the cosmos, on an eternal quest to find a world that could offer them haven, or just habitability. The ship, starship groove, and at its center, this.

You time the light ball to the rhythm, and each light ball is assigned a destination and that destination has a note and a light response. There is an implicit latency, so the audio we hear is over the light response while the light balls are generated from the linear music notes. Just like a digital music box or whatever.
