- EPISODE 2 | With the unfortunate death of the Nintendo 3DS eShop, several dozen OFFICIAL NINTENDO made Super Mario levels are gone forever. These levels were designed for New Super Mario Bros. 2 "Coin Rush" mode and were paid DLC which sadly no longer is available! Today we are checking out the IMPOSSIBLE PACK which features some of the hardest levels Nintendo has ever made!

These levels are so simple, yet so hard, they’re not intimidating at all, but if you underestimate them, you’re screwed. Mario Maker hard levels are a mess, just by looking at them you can feel that they are going to be annoying, their design are super intimidating, yet some of them are HELL.
They also don’t rely on crazy mechanics like clear conditions or cheap deaths like Kaizo blocks which is even more a testament to their design

I like how Dave can be an extremely good player sometimes, yet there were times he was sitting still for half a minute letting himself being hit.
Man, I remember this game... I got 1 million within the time to get an official certificate. Still have that laminated in my room.
And the impossible pack is so hard. I spent like a week to optimize it

Somebody should seriously try to remake these levels in MM2, i know NSMB2 isn't a theme in MM2 but NSMBU would be close enough. Thanks for showing us these levels Dave, like many people i missed out on these back in the day.

This is so cool seeing this finally be covered by u Dave, I played through the Impossible pack about 8 years ago when I was about 11 and I beat all 3 levels after many tries. The optimal strategy for the 1st level which u were struggling so much with, is first on the underwater section, the part with the cheep chomp, sink deeper in the water and go underneath him instead of over, it's easier that way. Then on the rotating platform, stay jumping on the left side of the rightmost platform in the middle. The bob-ombs walk towards the right and fall on the upper right, so thats the best way to go about it. Stealing the lakitu cloud is a risky move which I don't recall doing, and the part with the hammer bros, make sure u wait for them to jump and then jump right after on them or cross underneath, don't be intimidated by them. On the 2nd level, make sure u defeat the fire chomps asap otherwise they'll mess up your wall jumps and snipe u with their fireballs and you'll be overwhelmed. The 3rd level, I don't recall but I won't spoil it for you, it's likely a castle level with skewers and thwomps so stay on your toes until the end.
The walljumping just before the checkpoint city in level 2 reminded me of that section in Champion's Road with the creepers, that was a brutal part for me but DGR went full gamer mode and made it look easy! I can't quite believe these levels exist tbh, but I'm glad they do
My favorite thing is coming home from work, laying up with my cat and watching DGR. 😊
After watching Dave play this level like 1,000 times on stream, its surreal to watch him play these levels and still have any level of joy in his eyes. Youthful ignorance from past Dave 🤣

Nintendo does make hard levels here or there in all Mario games, but these take the cake. I got this pack but i don't think i ever beat it.

That 1st level wasn't the best in my opinion, it looked kinda slow and tedious, with most of the difficulty being enemy spam.
The 2nd level seemed great though.
That’s why it’s the first to annoy the player who died on the second or third levels
3rd one has a poisonous ocean rising and dropping as well as tons of sawblades!

The 3 levels are insanley difficult on their own. How is anybody expected to beat all 3 of them in one run?
Only the most determined players can pull it off. It has been done before! It’s like the Super Mario equivalent to summoning Inbachi from Dodonpachi Saidaioujou. Look it up if you haven’t already.

It’s not like a few geo dash levels, but it’s very hard alright!
NSMB meets the Lost Levels.
This is basically "let's build a level so difficult that not even WE can beat it" challenge that Nintendo devs created.

this shows that Nintendo can really make hard levels. (dont comment lost levels, that is easier than this, not by much but it is), so I'm guessing they just don't because they want all people to enjoy these, imagine being little Timothy (a good boy who makes very nice levels, easy ones that are fun) getting the new Mario game, and it's this hard. He would be very sad

I 100% this game and I freaking hate it fr. All the hard levels are not hard they are just unfair. Off screen enemies, timers, random invisible blocks random enemies all at once...
It’s not 100% unfair tbh. I’ve seen worse. There’s actually quite a few times in certain games where something was so unfair the devs even apologized for it!

dud this level are not hard like mario maker verry hard level.... they are hard like little timmy hard cause they're only hard cause they do enemy spam and not cause of the level design that need you to use shell jump and hard tach to use
Let's be real, the 2nd level is hard due to the level design, not Little Timmy. The platforms are designed to be a pain in the ass.
