Yes, the real life Erin is really feisty. Once Julia was cast for the role people were worried she couldn't pull it off because she was viewed as America's sweetheart. But she nailed it! Truly an Oscar worthy performance.
I am a cancer survivor. I had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 27. When she says "You got to get them, Erin, promise me we're gonna get them" just kills me every single time, even though my hysterectomy was 20 years ago
Toukie, having a part of you taken away is the most personal of all life's injustices. There is never acceptance. We can only adapt to it, and fight back harder! You are who you are. Be proud!
It's insane how big corporations get away with murder almost n they don't care until they go to court, then they pay some money, which might be a lot to the victims but it's pocket change for them. Good thing that the judge in that case was honest because when I first watched this movie I thought the company had bought him off or something. This is a great movie, good job with the reaction.
Yes, the real Erin Brockovich is that feisty and then some. Great story and a wonderful portrayal of hard work and compassion overcoming money, power and greed. If you wanna see Albert Finney in another role where he kicks ass, watch Miller's Crossing by the Coen Brothers. As many great movies as they've made, I think this might be my favorite.
The waitress taking the order for Erin and the kids at the beginning of the movie......was actually Erin Brockovich, doing a cameo. The movie is based off a real story. Great Movie.....one of my favs
I didn’t the first time round but some other people in the comments pointed that out to me. I love cool trivia stuff like that and when they show love to the real people by giving them cameos etc! Thanks for watching, much appreciated!
Playing catch-up here after watching your Silver Lining Playbook video earlier today, and another enjoyable reaction. As suggested Dark Waters is another film in the same vein and well worth a watch. Also if you haven't seen it "The Big Short" is an excellent film with a great cast about the 2008 financial crisis. It's a must see and an eye opener to what's really going on in the financial world and how people are being duped.
Yep, “Dark Waters” is on the list and I haven’t seen “The Big Short” yet so I’ll add that one too! I googled it and you’re right it has a phenomenal cast and very intriguing topic. Thanks for the recommendation!
@@ikecreates That's great, I subbed after watching your Silver Linings reaction so I'll be notified of future videos. Keep up the reactions because you do them very well and eventually you will become more noticed and gather more followers, and make sure you ask people to like and subscribe during each video as it helps with the algorithms. Cheers.
Great reaction to a great film. The writing and acting were superb. Remember The Titans is another great Based-On-A-True-Story film, makes for a good reaction if you haven't seen it yet.
The real Erin played the waitress in the diner at the beginning, the judge that determined the trial would go forward, was the actual judge. The actor that played attorney Ed Masry was a huge British actor. He nailed the American accent.
Thank you for watching along with me. Much appreciated! I just googled “Dark Waters”. Looks great, I will definitely add it to the list. Thanks for the recommendation.
"Silk wood" with Cher is kind of along the same lines. Big company has radiation exposure problems with their employees and they try and intimidate anyone they think might expose that. Good movie, won an award and a few other nominations, and is based on a true story. Was Cher's breakout movie (not her first though) that gave her some respect in the movie industry.

Just search her name, Erin is on news stations all the time. She's firey and feisty.
Erin is on FB and is active all the time with issues still such as this. Flint, MI etc.
Ike, rewind and see Erin yourself. She plays the waitress early in the film. Great reaction.

I love this movie too. Another sinister corporation film is "Micheal Clayton"with Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson & George Clooney.
Hey man keep it up! Got a new sub!
I appreciate that!
Thanks for reacting to this great movie. Might I suggest a film along the same lines, Dark Waters with Mark Ruffalo.

The real Erin Brockovich was the waitress at the restaurant.
Woah really? That’s cool! I’m gonna have to take a second look. Thanks for the interesting trivia nugget.
@@ikecreates Not only was that the real Erin Brockovitch in the diner but that was the real Ed Masry sitting in the booth behind Julia Roberts.
@@selkirk57 I love when they do that! Thanks for the info!
@@selkirk57 And not only that, the Judge that denied the motion is the real (retired) judge in the case.
