Similar here, at least in regards to 'minis'. Welcome to "the insanity"...or, should I say, the addiction (as that's what it truly is). Originally got into RC neck in the 70s, then left it (music, followed by competitive swimming) in the early 80s...then, got back into it approx 7-8 years ago. Now, have (mostly 1/10) bashers, racers, crawlers (incl comp crawlers), on-road, off-road, and boats, plus a drone, and a helicopter. My initial Mini-Z was a gift from my former next door neighbor. That was 4 months ago...now, I have four of them (ok, technically three, as I haven't yet built the PNR2.5).
This is all RX28SE, not RX28. That being said, if I remember correctly, the RX28SE Gen 1 also didn't come with one. None of my 1/28 kits have come with bumpers. From what I've been able to tell, very few 1/28 kits appears to come with bumpers...and, that makes sense, as bumpers tend to be body-specific.
I'm new to mini rc's, and I'm in deep already. I've been playing with 1/10 scale for 2 decades, but 1/28 scale is so satisfying to master.
