Rules
Set mode
No revives or X items
Only use items on pokemon in battle, preferably when below half health, but at the very minimum when the hp bar is yellow (except for purely status healing or pp restoring items).
At 24:25 Golem has 60/116 HP, which is more than half life
From your ruleset weren't you supposed to not heal Golem at this time?
@@everorizon Oh wow I did not notice that. I assumed that if the hp bar is yellow then the hp is half or less. Welp gotta edit my comment then.
Edit: To clarify I use the yellow color of the health bar as the primary indicator. I placed the less than half health rule because I assumed the two were the same. Will strictly check the numbers in future gameplay vids. Thanks for pointing it out!
@@DFuegoH Huh, I always assumed the yellow color indicated half health as well. Amazing that I'm finding out that isn't always the case!
the most impressive parts are a) how you got through victory road and b) how you actually managed to catch a chansey

It would take alot of planning and preparation but I feel this could be pushed significantly farther. It may be interesting to see how low you can go with only the resources available to you in a main story playthrough.
I got other videos in mind right now but I'll take your suggestion into consideration

What nature should choose for Venusaur and how to assign its base points pls?
When you're able to construct a team that has good chemistry, the nature won't matter all that much. I honestly have no idea what nature Venusaur has in that battle and I did not specifically train any evs.

To be fair no strategy can beat that. But I think it's equally fun to have a category for fully built teams that you use for the entire game.

I'm the only attempt haha. I plan to make a series where I play through the games with fan-made teams and rank them on a custom leaderboard.

Why Chansey insead of Blissey, couldn't you have ran a mile to get happiness?

You can’t evolve Chansey (Or any pokemon with an other gen evolution. Example: Golbat to Crobat) until you get the National Dex

@@karunsv1785 Ahh okay. If I remember correctly I was being extra careful to avoid allowing Gengar to be dealt damage by a critical hit.

Nice but, there might be people out there who beat the game with even lower levels. Not sure how its a "world record"
