I'm amazed it didn't fall apart while being washed! But it's certainly got a charm about it, probably was a super clean rig 40 years ago! Of course it'd look great doin' some off roadin' so long as it has enough chassis to survive moving under it's own power. But I absolutely love that front bumper, it's hideous in all the right ways. Looks like something that should've been on the CUCVs. As for the sheet metal? I'm a Toyota guy and have seen vintage land cruisers and jeeps that are pretty much just rust flakes in a bucket get restored from scratch. but the door falling off? That was one of the funniest things I've seen in years...Of course, could always just leave the metal and do a Mad Max build.
Good to see you again. You showed me how to get the timing cover out of my Tacoma without taking off the cylinder head. Enjoy watching your work. Thanks.
I seen this pop up in my feed I recognize the truck not only from marketplace but the person’s yard it came from it sat in the same place, probably since 2005 is crazy to see this on TH-cam
It's an Attraction..folks could exit the highway and for a small fee take a tour. A really unique Lawn Ornament..I'm kinda serious I Like It. Got to get it running It's got character don't ever wash it.
You washed it now looks to need a walking cane. Got to weld that door back on.. I should watch the entire video before commenting I guess. You'd probably like Merlin's old school garage he says great things about Industrial Injection he recently used again having to use the emergency 911 pump rebuild and return option.
if i could keep the patina on the outside but put the whole thing on a solid fram and new motor man what a dream that would be to see all the looks of horror from people xD
Exactly. It’s actually not that difficult, as I intend to show in the coming series….. many people have to told me to give up on this truck right out of the gate but I have a set budget in both stubbornness and money and it’s going to happen. I like this style of truck too much to let one go to the crusher, and these stepsides come up so rarely at a price I can afford. Well I couldn’t turn it down, and I’m not going to give up on it.
@@wrenchwranglers good, imo I'd try to fix this cab and the doors and just buy fenders and a hood, good luck on the project I can't wait to watch you follow through
I definitely have been looking for a whole roller that could sacrifice itself. I don’t want to ruin a running driving vehicle, that’s just not my philosophy….. but a roller would be a good way to get all the parts at once!
Hey buddy I just ran across your video!! I do have a cab and front clip off of a 1984 GMC that I would be interested in selling if interested in?? I’m in southern Iowa!! Not sure if that is to far away to get a front clip, cab, and doors for you but I would definitely be interested in selling them!! Let me no??
I think I have a soft copy of the shop manual for 4bb, 6bb, 4bd, 6bd, 4bg and 6bg as well, this engines ones running is very reliable not very powerful but the 6bd1t and 6bg1t can be compared to the 5.9 cummins even both in stock forms some versions of the 6bg1t is a little bit more powerful. And this engines sleeved engine so they can be continously re built
@@shevaughnwright6548 that’s great I need all the help I can get 😂😂. I found a basic manual but they completely avoided the pump other than to show a diagram like ‘this is the injection pump’. Like, great, thanks Isuzu….. lol
I’m beginning to wonder myself… I need to do some more looking. There are some indicators that it may be a blazer frame but I need to get down in the mud and crawl under… fun times :)
It's like a combination of Robot Cantina and Pole Barn Garage... let's go!
Very interested to see this poor old truck brought back to life!

Agree the door was hilarious.
I like the visor
I’m not sure exactly where it comes from I haven’t seen any exactly like this one lately

You think it’s crazy to see it, how about owning it 😂😂. Clearly I am a glutton for punishment….

Yes these old mechanical diesels are practically indestructible unless you let me drive one. Low on power but personally I love them

Haha! Yeah that would be something!
Use automatic transmission fluid down the breather tube and she will fire like starting fluid
Nice 👍🏽
Shes a perfect resto candidate, look at polebarngarage he restored a square body that was much worse than this

You sir, have eagle eyes!! It is indeed a K5 chassis; I just crawled under to verify. It still has the rear body mounts and everything.
I got a cab but I’m in Alabama
wood u sale tha rims off that truck
I might if the price is right. I always preferred the steel rally wheels.
what kind of price u got in mind@@wrenchwranglers
@@southernman7692 I’m open to offers. I haven’t researched what they go for so I have no idea at this point.

That is a parts truck sir. Lots of good stuff on it though.

There is not a piece of sheet metal on it salvageable. Delusional to think otherwise
