****** Today we’re going to talk about the difference between ADHD and plain laziness. You might get these two ideas mixed up sometimes, but by the end of this video, you'll understand them clearly. Let's say you set a goal, but you keep putting it off, get distracted easily, or find it hard to focus. Could it be just plain laziness, or could it be something more serious, like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (or ADHD)? Let's get into this complicated subject.

Went to school in early 60's, reading was a nightmare. Have lots of horrible memories. Have no doubt I have/had ADHD & Dyslexia. Still have trouble reading & Comprehension.
Through the years, I've learned how to deal with it. It was the teachers, who gave me anxiety. I know I was NOT lazy.

This is one of the most common misdiagnoses in mental health

You should make more video that emphasis the differences between a mental illness and normal brain behaviors that are related to a way of living or current events.
Too much people think and claim to be suffering from mental illnesses nowadays, just based on internet diagnostics.
We all have a certain degree of various mental illnesses, and btw, it's kind of arbitrary to define a "normal human behavior" considering the infinite contexts and ways of living that exist on earth.
But a mental illness begin when this have uncontrollable consequences on our daily life and the life of the people around us. When It become pathologic.

Hi! I love these videos so far. I've only watched two and I can already see the quality and effort put into each one. You've made nearly 90k subscribers in 2 years, which is an accomplishment in of itself. Really, just lovely stuff. If I could provide a little criticism (you can take this or not, you are the person running the channel after all) I would say that some of your titles are clickbait-y. For example, you use definitive words like "only" and "always." I.e. "The ONLY Way To Beat Procrastination" or "Control Your EMOTIONS - 10 Psychology Tricks That Always Work." And while I understand this is a marketing strategy, the audience you are generally targeting will actually be pushed away by it (at least from my understanding of things). Also, your thumbnails are a bit all over the place (I know that might be a testing the algorithm thing though). But again, just great content, can't wait to watch more when I have the time. You have earned a sub my friends.

@ianmcknight6482 Thank you so much for your feedback, and I alway appreciate it, negative or positive. As you said, I am still working out the kinks trying to figure out the best way to run this channel. I have a full time job and do this as a passion project, so I hire staff to do some things for me, including a trial channel manager who wanted to see if a different style of thumbnails and titles would work. I did not think it did, nor did I like the clickbaitiness, so I stopped that, but sometimes things still slip through. My main focus personally is, and will always be, the actual content, which is all written by me and my wife (we're both MDs), so every thing else is dependent on other people. We're working on it and are very grateful for your feedback!

@@wellnesslenses Completely understandable, not everyone has an infinite amount of time to spend on every little possible thing. Especially a doctor, ya'll seem to have crazy tight schedules. It's a blessing that you can give us such great content. Keep it up!

"Lazy" is an ad hominem, its attacking the character of the person, and a shaming tactic.
If you work for a living and pay your bills and take care of yourself then you have every right to be lazy in your free time.
There's no moral obligation to be busy at all times. Its your right to be lazy even if other people don't like it.
