Cons
- Although you can still record video and photos with out the app, use of the app for FPV and advanced flight modes requires a phone with 802.11ac WiFi capability. Not all phones have 802.11ac WiFi. To avoid disappointment and before purchasing, it is very important to first verify that your phone does indeed have 802.11ac WiFi.
- The HFun Pro app is very processor intensive. Requires a newer processor to operate properly. Older phones (like mine) may experience significant FPV video lag, and poor performance of some of the app's advanced flight modes (circle position, optical follow, and waypoints did not work with my phone).

Flew mine for the first time yesterday, it's the first drone I've had and I couldn't believe how easy it was to fly. The functions I used worked fine until the battery ran out and had no lag using an iphone x. Really impressed with it for what it cost.
Ye €100-200 is worth it great starting drone I am rly happy whit it I like to use on vacation and stuff just launch it of a backpack and film the seroundings

Hi Quaddie, Ive got this great drone but there is a lot of pause on the video and when I move the camera it takes a few seconds for the picture on my phone to change. Could this be an app problem and if so is there a better app than HFun pro? thanks for your help.

I have a 5.5" Samsung Galaxy smartphone and a 10.1" Samsung Galaxy Tablet PC both capable of 5GHz 802.11ac. Will either of these devices work with the ZLRC SG906 Pro? My main concern is that the 10.1" Samsung Tablet PC will be physically too large to fit on the remote control holder. Will it fit?
I have just ordered the SG 906 PRO and I have a question? it comes with a 7.4v 2800 mah lipo battery I have seen a lot of reviews about lipo batters needing to be balanced charged I can only see one micro usb connection can you comment on this please?

Quick question. Does flying too far or too high (leading to a loss of connection to the controller) lead to the drone flying off on its own? I understand that losing battery causes a "return to home" but how about a loss of connection such as in this scenario.

mine often loses signal when the distance is 100-125 meters. The drone stop for about 10-20 seconds until it gets a signal and connects with the transmitter again.
I've just had mine a day and have a few questions that I will forego asking until I can research them myself, first. But I did want to make a suggestion that I've found useful and not discussed in the comments below. As QC101 mentioned, the user guide print is too tiny to be readable by anyone over about 11 years old . What I did was scan the pages at 600 dpi and that let me blow them up so 2 pages just about filled an 8.5x11 piece of paper in landscape mode. It made the text readable. Suspect you could do the equivalent by photographing the pages close up and blowing them up to full page size. Focus would be critical so it might be prudent to take a few photos of each page pair to increase the odds of at least one shot being in sharp focus.

There is no serial number. But if you are in the USA, no serial number is needed for recreational fliers.

All concerned (questionable gimbal on the L109, app and controller quality concerns with the SG906 pro) which would you recommend? The camera on the SG906 pro doesn't seem to have any noticeable fisheye, but the L109 seems to work alot better with the special flight modes (follow me, circle position, etc) and have a nicer controller and app. You're thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Every time you pressed the button to start recording it started ticking off time next to the video camera in red. Maybe need a shade or better glasses.

PROBLEM SOLVED - I was able to record on my SD card - I used a Lexar U1 32 GB. It does record on both my phone and the SD card. I did notice that using the zoom function only worked on the phone recording. The video on the SD card did not have the zoom effect.

No need for 11 satellites ...you need 8 ..the mode will change from 1 to 2 to confirm you are in gps mode ...
I cannot get the drone to record onto the sd card. I have a 64gb samsung evo plus u3 microsdxc class 10 card... is it not compatible or am i doing something wrong?
The card must be 32 GB or smaller. But some have had success by formatting their 64GB card in their computer using EXFAT format.

Also, yhe beeping recorded- is that coming from the drone or the controller. And is there a way to turn that off ? Ie: when you backed away from yourself in headless mode..
The beeping comes on in headless mode only. It's to alert you that you are in headless mode. And the "buggyness" seems to be an issue with lower end phones. But those with high end phones do not seem to have issues.

Hi, I have inserted the SD Card into the drone and recorded but when i got back home it only recorded on the phone but not the sd card. Does anyone know what is wrong.
Ive tried formatting the card to FAT and NTFS but to no luck, turning on the record in settings also. still nothing.

Hi ..I've recently received my 906 pro , just waiting for my 5g phone . I'm having problems with my sticks they keep falling out . I know you are just supposed to push them in ...but mine just keep coming out , very cheap .

Use a bit of spit and give it a twist. Carefull not to damage the remote.
I had the same problem; the drone was getting higher and higher above the home point; is it possible to interrupt the RTH procedure at that point ?

You have access to great place for first - test flights.
I have question on that:
If You switch automatic return home, what is path of return?
What would happen in starting place is surrounded by obstacles in some extend i.e. trees , so You start vertically to certain altitude and then fly safe in any direction.
What if battery gets low or You order automatic return home? Will drone go back on safe altitude and then approach vertically, or it will chose diagonal approach - the shortest path? then could hit obstacles?
It is important to know.
OK. It seems Ihat I found answer on Video. On Low battery return home it first climbs to 28m , go baco to be above starting place and then descends vertically - looks safe.
so what is the difference between the pro and normal because i was about to pick up just the normal one i’m not too bothered by a bit lower camera quality

My drone SG906 PRO has a range of 200 meters. And if I exceed this distance view/screen is very lacking and shock view. (latency). Whats going wrong. I used in open area without buildings. It must be easy reach 500 meter. How can I improve the range. Is it problems with the drone. Or is it the mobile phone.
I experienced the same lag and frozen frames. But it still produced video out to 600 meters in my flight. I flew it slowly so that I could still maintain orientation and control through the numerous instances that the screen momentarily froze while I was flying outbound. I also made a point of aiming the flat portions of the controller's antennas toward the drone (never point the tips of the antenna toward the drone, as very little signal comes from the tips). I also aimed the back flat face of my phone toward the drone for better WiFi reception.

Phones are about goofy now days when you are going with a decent quality Android. My Orbic wonder can play TH-cam etc videos and more in 1080p and all the 5g function works great with my jjrc x5 Epik. Now my Motorola G7 power has a 4k + camera/video capabilities, however I can only watch videos up to 720p (which actually looks better than 1080p but besides the point according to the settings) and I can't get telemetry, battery levels info or maps to work with it? Just all depends on the app, the phone and the drone in some instances. I'm aiming to get one of these or a used spark next month but I really want to get this one believe it or not, I think it's well worth the money. Hopefully one of my phones work completely with it as well. Thanks for sharing.

It was about 5 years ago that I saw one of your videos for the first time. It was the Syma X5C-1. I bought it as my first camera drone. I had so much fun with that and a whole bunch of other drones I bought since then. It will be interesting to see where the hobby goes in the next few years, but its time for me to get out my tiny whoops, havent played with those in a while. I fell back into my original hobby of model railroading and spent thousands. Now it is time to take to the skies again.

F11 pro has 2axis gimbal stabilization and built in eis, overall it is probably a bit better than the sg906 pro2 but.. Just depends on if you get a good one of these or not I imagine.

Will someone please answer a question for me I’m very new to drones when wanting to run with WiFi must I have a internet connection. I have no plan on my phone and in order to work my WiFi I need to be at home.
No, there is no internet involved. The drone has a transmitter that is sending its video signal via 802.11ac WiFi. To view the video, connect to the drone's WiFi signal the same way that you would connect your phone to a home WiFi signal (no password). Then open the app to view the video. But make sure that your phone is capable of receiving 802.11ac WiFi. Older phones may have this type of WiFi.
Do you think the SG906 can handle force 3 winds ( around 12MPh ) Where I'm from we rarely go below force 2 unfortunately.

Greetings from Greece. I just received the drone SG 906 pro2. I have an issue with connecting my cell phone to it! It does not have a large range (through the hfun Pro application) over 50 meters in height and length, it does not send an image, it crashes and throws me on the home screen. I have the P30, do I need a mobile that supports 5G? Do I need to make any settings on my mobile? On my previous drone (SG 906) I did not have such a problem.

The Huawei P30 does have 802.11ac WiFi so should be fine with the drone. Short range may be caused by interference. Are you flying in an urban areas, near buildings with interfering wifi? Apartment buildings, high powered electrical lines, or nearby cell phone towers may also cause interference. Try flying in a less congested area. But if the problem persists, then it may be a problem with the wifi antenna on your phone or your drone. First thing to try would be another 802.12ac phone. If the same problem occurs with another phone, then the drone's antenna would be suspect. In that case, contact your vendor's customer support to see if they can help.

The sg906 pro is my first drone and I am getting a severely delayed image (minutes not seconds). Also when I can't get the microsoft video player to play the video files from my sd card. What am I doing wrong? Is my drone defective? Please help.
See the video at 16:53. Make sure that both Stabilization and 4K Correction are both turned OFF.
Also microsoft video player is severely outdated in regards to playability of modern CODECs for video files. Recommend that you try and use a more modern free video player app, such as VLC Media Player (Google it). Also make sure to stop video recording before turning off your drone. If you forget to do such, the video file will be corrupted and unplayable.

I have a problem with my recording. When I look at the sd card some of the video shows up straight away and some of it is blank. Also I sometimes get 1 second videos that I never recorded.

Hi Quadcopter 101, I tried with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB class 10 memories formatted in NTFS, fat32, exfat, and the only thing that has happened is that the drone creates the photo and video folders but does not record anything
Are you using the app or the controller to start/stop video? I used the controller's button. Do a quick press of the controller's video button to start the recording. Long press will not work. Also check in the app screen that the video timer starts next to the video camera button. Also remember to do a quick press to stop the video recording before turning off the drone. Your video file will be corrupted if you forget to stop the recording.
