One of your best vids yet mate, editing on point, perfect amount of drone footage, good music, and I think importantly Demi getting comfortable on camera was a huge one, great work 👏
Totally agree, people make Ngkala Rocks harder than what it is. If you didn’t have to stop mid way the camper would have made it easy. Obviously when the sand is hot, dry and powdery it makes it more difficult than when wet, but momentum and correct tyre pressure is key.
LOL how adorable your little man is pointing at his chin and looking at dad’s chin and he notices something is missing from his chin LOL beautiful bambini PS I love Fraser island
Awesome ep as usual Tyler and Demi. Definitely not a mistake taking the opus to Frazer (K’gari) you guys nailed it!!!! Was very impressed how easily you got up past Ngala rocks. Yeeeeeeeeeeewwww!!! GU patrol🤙
Great video mate. I loved how you got the whole family involved. When you were saying how easy ngkala was I was quietly thinking you might have trouble with the trailer but it looked quite wet which is when it’s at its easiest. Well done to Demi for towing through it both ways. Go the patrols
Great video again Tyler. Loved seeing the kids having so much fun in the best place in Australia. Was really good to see Eli Creek running north again. If it stays like that maybe it will return to the size and depth it was 30 years ago.
i spent 4 days on fraser, did nagala rock 4 times, i ran around the whole island in my gq on 10psi 33's, 2wd most of it, certain sections were 4wd, i spent a good hr getting a massive amount of people through when they got bogged here, told them air down to 10psi and boom out straight away.
Nevermind what the dingo ate , just wear the bottoms and let those puppys get some frazer island sun and breeze and admirers! Regards Tony from Australia!
We haven't been to Fraser for about 30 years. We did it in a 1986 4Runner, 2.4l n/a diesel. We wish that we had the time (and money) to go there again. I'm hoping to go into semiretired towards the end of this year so maybe we'll get there then. Great video!
Great video Tyler, I can see the kind caring father you are, blended families are hard work , but it sounds like you to are doing a great job at it , much love to you both,😇😀👍
Both Trolls did very well, the GU towing the trailer did fine, just needed the right revs/gear to get through the nasty stuff... No need for a turbo, like some are saying. The GQ looks great ! Awesome vid guys. 👍
Nice to see the TD putting in work, what a beast. Love your edits and drone footage, I literally drift away like I was there. I appreciate these videos. Honest down to earth, family orientated with all the adventure and off roading in epic settings.
What an awesome video mate , maybe one of your best , it had everything from some good beach driving and some chilled out family time , doesn’t matter what car you drive this was a great trip. Looks like everyone had a ball
Shocked to see GQ so low in the rear with weight. I'm aware you developed it mostly for wheelin tracks, but that usually still involves carrying some goodies, maybe need to revisit rear coil ratings. Dingoes, watched a trio arrive at Eli one evening, one grabs a "T" shirt, then it became a massive game of tugawar between three, when one solo gets it, he'd throw it in air flinging his head back and it would all start again, tugawar. So incredible was the behaviour, it was obviously well practised. In this case they disappeared towards the Maheno Wreck playing with the "T" shirt. So entertaining to watch, at the expense of the owner of the "T" shirt, sorry to say. Guess similar happened with your swim top, tugawar. I recall when you did the whole family thing on Moreton Is. and you asked for people's preference between Moreton & K'gari, I opted for K'gari as the west coast is just so devine, and not overpopulated with tourists. Now you'd have to appreciate, Moreton does not match K'gari + you can source fuel on K'gari.
You're pretty lucky there had been rain at Nkgala. To be fair it's not really a good idea towing a trailer through there, especially coming back south. I've done it a few times towing a boat and it's not a cake walk. If you're not twin locked on 35's like you guys, on a hot windy day, you need to hook up multiple cars to have any chance.
i read of a couple who were awoken by the baby crying during the night but it seemed to be coming from the wrong place, they jumped up to fond the dingo had opened the wall of the camper trailer and dragged the baby out. the dingo dropped the baby when they ran at it and fortunately the baby was unhurt. i have had them try to swim out to me while fishing just off the beach in a tinny
Good to see the whole tribe out with both Patrols Tyler. Gotta get rid of those alloys though. With the wheeling you do, it's only a matter of time before you wise up & go back to steelies. Cheers man 🍻
I towed a pop top Jayco caravan over Fraser through the middle track. Only casualty was one tyre. Towed with a BT50 at the time. Looks like it wasnt quite that soft though
Awesome trip! We left Awinya the day you arrived - we passed on Woralie Rd. You did well to book those camping spots last minute. We booked a month out and were lucky as all the good spots looked full already.
Nice vid, again. Frazer is magic spot. You guys got lucky with the Ngala rocks to get as far as you guys did as the sand looked pretty wet. But probably would have made it except for the other car stopping you part way up. Redemtion would have been sweet. But definitely catches lots out. I'm just catching up on this one now, with my daughter, who loves seeing baby Zeph. I'm glad you guys got to enjoy some family downtime before a busy year ahead.
Hey mate a tip with the camper towing on beach soft sand. Make sure the wheels track the same as whats on the tow vehicle.. kinda same situation as how 79series have a narrow rear diff and crab walk get bogged all the time.
@Jdeano dean definitely turbo time for gu would've made it with ease without trailer but I have seen a naturally aspirated auto tb48 gu on limiter tow 2 modern twin cab 4x4's at once and one had big half cabin boat on trailer aswell at inskip point th-cam.com/video/Q8LHtfHQ6UY/w-d-xo.html
Great video Tyler, love ya content. Still spins me out as to why mud tyres are used on soft sand? They're designed to dig and you see if when they get bogged. Suppose it's crazy to have spare sets of wheels for diff purposes😂
Hey mate, Would love a budget video for a trip like this. Especially with fuel. Considering buying a tb 48 but very curious with how it goes on an island.😊
Fraser Island is truly spectabular, made all that hard work worth it Demi! Awesome family trip, looks like this place is becoming your favourite place. Fantastice camera work too Tyler, the drone shots surely are a must on Fraser to seem them damn big fins hahhahaha!
i only have used my winch 4 time in the time i have had it. have never downed the tire pressure they were only for others at inskip point. the first was the ranger
Wow mate look join fraser island and say is hot weather very lucky I have visit fraser island last year Oct weather is very cold cant join but you say Christmas time you visit tellme weather is hot I take ref next time visit fraser island Dec join island
Great video mate as always 🤙🏼 how do you like the sun awning on the opus , im tossing up buying one as the hole annex is a bit bulkier and sometimes I don't need it but want shade.
What was the Northern exit/entry of Ngkala like mate, we were there a few days ago and turned around at the ‘midpoint’ spot you stopped, the exit to the beach there was like a drop off but we didn’t go straight to see what the other exits were like

Magical. Yup, that's how I'd describe it. What a beautiful episode Tyler.
Another great video Tyler and Demi. Very well done to Demi towing the camper trailer all over Fraser
Totally agree, people make Ngkala Rocks harder than what it is. If you didn’t have to stop mid way the camper would have made it easy. Obviously when the sand is hot, dry and powdery it makes it more difficult than when wet, but momentum and correct tyre pressure is key.
Looks amazing thanks for taking us on your journey 👍🏴
Beautiful video, thanks for taking us along on your trip.
I love this type of content more than just winching up hills and the like✌️✌️😊
LOL how adorable your little man is pointing at his chin and looking at dad’s chin and he notices something is missing from his chin LOL beautiful bambini PS I love Fraser island

Petrol 4bys are so underrated of road. I don't think I can ever go back to diesel ever again
i spent 4 days on fraser, did nagala rock 4 times, i ran around the whole island in my gq on 10psi 33's, 2wd most of it, certain sections were 4wd,

Yeah..lots of old photos of two wheel drive family cars on Fraser from the 70s and 80s..let down the tyres and never really a problem.
She's actually a really good driver, lots better than some men i know mate
Nevermind what the dingo ate , just wear the bottoms and let those puppys get some frazer island sun and breeze and admirers! Regards Tony from Australia!

Thanks mate 👌

Great family touring episode. Love Fraser Is. Must get up there again.

Sick clip as always Tyler and Co.. great you get your whole family involved.. 👊
Nice trip, happy that all your work on the cars paid off
Awesome video mate. Watching everything i can before my trip in October for our honeymoon. Cant wait to see epic sandy cape 😍.
Awesome episode Tyler! Demi’s a champion 👏👏
Oh my gosh he's having a blast 5:22
Great episode as usual. I found the whole of Fraser to be magical

Good thing we are twin locked & 35's then
Great video again guys. So family friendly 😊

Tyler, all that running of cameras has been good for ya!
I towed a pop top Jayco caravan over Fraser through the middle track. Only casualty was one tyre. Towed with a BT50 at the time. Looks like it wasnt quite that soft though
Well done getting through Ngkala Rocks. It can be hard enough just on a 4WD, let along towing a camper trailer. 👍
Making memories brother
Mate great vid that was cool, Demi does really well with that camper in tow!
Very watchable and enjoyable video.
Sic trip mate as usual, great to see the fam and the Patrol fam all out at once enjoying the adventures. Looking fwd to the Tas next 🤟
Awesome video and adventure there Tyler and family. I like that Opus camper Demi is hauling.
Great video buddy, loved it, great seeing people have fun, can't believe Zebs 10 months old already 😀 👍🏿
He just had his 1st birthday this weekend!
Very good. A hug from Portugal

Maybe it's turbo time for the gu😅
That thing would be off it’s chops with a turbo
@Jdeano dean definitely turbo time for gu would've made it with ease without trailer but I have seen a naturally aspirated auto tb48 gu on limiter tow 2 modern twin cab 4x4's at once and one had big half cabin boat on trailer aswell at inskip point th-cam.com/video/Q8LHtfHQ6UY/w-d-xo.html
Would love to see that.
Why? It wasn’t struggling with power.... It was spinning all 4 piece of piss!
It wouldn't make any difference. Unless you want the tires to dig down to China. Power was not the problem.
Nice trip Tyler,
Good vibes good fun!👌
Thanks! 😃
Botha cars are looking epic!
Also little jimny makes life hard not giving way to the bigger rig 🤦🏼♂️🤣
Fraser Island is amazing great adventure mate
Great vehicle awesome content. Love your work
Another awesome video Tyler did you and Dimi have a drag olong the beach 🏖️ to see which patrols better cheers legends ☺️
Great video. How good is Hey Judy... thanks for the sound track.
Great video Tyler, love ya content.
Still spins me out as to why mud tyres are used on soft sand? They're designed to dig and you see if when they get bogged.
Suppose it's crazy to have spare sets of wheels for diff purposes😂
I was there for a two week stay just two weeks before you guys and could only manage one night as the march flies drove me mad .
Hey mate,
Would love a budget video for a trip like this. Especially with fuel. Considering buying a tb 48 but very curious with how it goes on an island.😊
Awesome vid and information Tyler 👏😎
Shark after fish and kids. :(
Thanks for that. I'm hoping to visit K'gari (hard to get used to) with my camper too.
Like the look of them old patrols u can make them look and go good 👍 this coming from a landcuiser guy , yep iv already put soap in my mouth 🤣
Great family time
Fraser Island is truly spectabular, made all that hard work worth it Demi! Awesome family trip, looks like this place is becoming your favourite place. Fantastice camera work too Tyler, the drone shots surely are a must on Fraser to seem them damn big fins hahhahaha!
Thank you!

Can’t wait for the GU turbo build for towing
Nothing better than a smiling baby
I really enjoyed your video but the music background was amazing 🙂
If you squint real hard with one eye you can see us in the background at 31:59 🤣 Great video mate!
🤣
so wholesome
I also cracked 2 rims didn't hit anything they just broke from the corrugations when I took the opus to Cape York August last year
What a blast! I'm guessing you'll be doing a long term review of the OPUS. All the running back to the camera must keep you pretty fit 👌👌
Love the video mate! Was there in Jan. Epic
The last part of the video doing all the running back and forward for the camera setup would be hard work on the sand
Looks great I’ve been to Fraser twice but haven’t headed over to the west side looks like I’ll be doing next time I’m over there
It's amazing!
Nice camp spot, looked like a great trip😎👍
Great episode TT.....🚙
Wow such a nice video and place
Another awesome video mate
What an Amazing Video 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks! 😃
Maybe steel rims are a good idea on camper trailers, since you're probably not likely to spring for robust premium alloy trailer wheels?
Someone really needs to invent a electric power drive bolt on kit for the campers to help push along when stuck
as soon as Demi got the GUs tyres into the ruts that were packed down she seemed sweet as
Your other half is a very good wheel woman . She would put a lot of blokes to shame she done well.
also alot of irriganji jelly fish stings this summer i wont be lettin my boy swim there any more.. eastside only unless winter
very cool
mate the GQ is looking shmick!
Awesome vid 💯
"A dingo ate my bathers." Could have been worse...
What a brilliant video, loved it. How much extra time did the set up shots and drone footage add to your travel time?
Nice one 🤙
Nice!
Wow mate look join fraser island and say is hot weather very lucky
I have visit fraser island last year Oct weather is very cold cant join but you say Christmas time you visit tellme weather is hot I take ref next time visit fraser island Dec join island
Good video bud
Awesome video. Loved it. Please the name of the band/singer at 2.45 Please 🙏
What a beautiful episode mate with the family well done 👍🍻 how the gq patrol going with fule and egt love to know
About 15L per hundred on road, haven't done any off-road fuel tests. EGT's are good
You need someone to run camera on some of your trips Tylar 🙂 keep ya fit I spose but 😆😆😆
Great video mate as always 🤙🏼 how do you like the sun awning on the opus , im tossing up buying one as the hole annex is a bit bulkier and sometimes I don't need it but want shade.
Coffee has to be hot for me to drink it
Lower tire pressure 😂
How were the march flies that time of year? We just came back from a trip and they were absolutely horrendous.
They weren't too bad, a few around though!
What video camera are you using. Image quality is awesome.
What was the Northern exit/entry of Ngkala like mate, we were there a few days ago and turned around at the ‘midpoint’ spot you stopped, the exit to the beach there was like a drop off but we didn’t go straight to see what the other exits were like
I was going to ask you, what were your tyre pressures at rocks, 10 and 12 psi, could have gone even lower with those tyres, don't pancakes a lot.
