Legends I hope you enjoy our first video from Western Australia. This was out favourite from the trip so far, we had such a great time checking out these spots.
Who is planning to head away over Christmas and where abouts? You never know, we might even run into you ✌🏼
@@RoamingCoastlines Bahaha I know they can be devils we have a family sausage spending his retirement with our daughter he would be very naughty to travel with, wants to eat all other dogs and kids
@ haha you know exactly what I mean then 😂
What a great video effort and your night time and time lapse views are really first class!
What great kids and the fur babies seem pretty relaxed too.
Well done and enjoy your travels and adventures
Thanks so much Robert. Really appreciate you watching and the nice words mate!
Your photography and videos are the absolute best.
Dot thanks so much again for the lovely comment, it’s really appreciated and thank you for regularly watching. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
Yet again a stunning video Ben❤❤. As someone who lived in the Pilbara in Tom Price in the mid 2000’s it’s hard to explain to people the absolute beauty. Your video is one of the best I’ve seen for capturing this. Keep up the great work and I love getting up on a Sunday morning with a coffee and following along. Tim
Legend! Appreciate nice words Tim, such great encouragement mate! You’re spot on, it’s actually bloody stunning up this way. We are really enjoying it. Currently at Exmouth, which is an absolute ripper as well
Someone is batting out of their league!?😂😂😂
Thanks for the video short.
Thanks for the comment mate
Awesome night lapse again ❤
Thanks legend! It was such a great area for the night lapses, I was frothing 😊
Beautiful video photography is 💯⭐️, and omg your sausages I ❤❤❤❤❤ them x😜.
Thanks so much for the nice words! And it’s lucky the sausages are cute, they can be a pain haha
Really loved this one!scenery is amazing, and loving the honesty about the ups and downs in travel. Keep up the good work guys
Thank you for watching!
Thanks, the red dirt country of WA is epic and having a drone to look at where you camp some times is a must, cheers.
Thanks for checking it out. The drone gives such an amazing perspective of the country out there
We've spent a few months in the stunning Pilbarra region this year and we just love it there so we really enjoyed revisiting it through your vid. You guys captured it so beautifully.
Thanks so much for the nice comment! It’s really beautiful there hey! Definitely keen to get back there another time and spend a little more time exploring, I feel like there is so much to see and alot of hidden gems
Epic adventure for you all! Wonderful video and astro photography. Karijini is magical. Agree, Buddhas is one of the best free camps in the country! You've done well in that heat - it was already very warm a few months ago. Would recommend adding in the wheel bearing temperature sensors to your iCheckTPMS system, just for that extra peace of mind and early warning.
Thanks legend! Appreciate it a lot! That’s a great tip about the wheel temp sensors. I’ll look into it for sure! It was bloody hot out there, nice to be on the coast now where it’s so much cooler
@@RoamingCoastlines Those bearing sensors (they stick on to the bearing cap and under the dust cover on each wheel) saved me once - drove off with the van handbrake on. Got a warning after 2 minutes of driving (and me wondering why the car was sluggish!).
@@ThisVagabondLife bloody hell that’s lucky! We almost did it once too, would be so easily done! There’s so many little things to remember when towing a van hey
@@RoamingCoastlines Got to love checklists! After that, I keep a pre-flight checklist on my phone notes app and go through it every time now!
Amazing photography and drone work.. one of my new fav channels. Mixing it up a bit with some outback tracks. ❤
Thanks so much for the very nice comment guys, it’s super appreciated and encouraging to keep making these videos!
Super unique zones, so different to anything I've seen over east. Epic shots and ep!
It’s so good mate! You would love it! Can only imagine the stuff you could get here. Thanks for watching mate, it’s always very appreciated
Hey Ben and Ash, what a good team you are. It takes courage to do this sort of travel with a young family and the two adorable pups in such remote areas. Ben as usual your videography and music sets the scene of these magical places. Road worthies aren’t what they used to be, it’s more about buyer beware these days. My dad taught me to change tyres, he ensured I always had good ones.
Safety First as Ash stated.
As I’ve watched a few Chanel’s now, the other thing to add to your kit is gaffa tape, you’d be surprised to learn the back windows of vehicles smash due to small rocks being kicked up and rebound off the van, safe travels.
Mate thanks so much for the epic comment and watching. It’s very appreciated!
It feels so much better and safer now we have a new set of tyres. We have recently done a lot of corrugations and felt a lot more at peace knowing we had great tyres all around. The tip about tape is a ripper for the windows. We actually have a bunch on board, so will keep that in mind if it ever happens (hopefully not🤞🏻). Hope you’re having a ripper weekend and thanks for taking the time out to watch our little adventures
Love the vids, keep them coming, what camera equipment do you use, photography is wicked 👌
Thanks legend! Really appreciate it. Nearly all of the video is shot with a Sony a7iv, 24-70 2.8 and a DJI Mavic 3 for the drone stuff
Great episode guys, just subscribed, really looking forward to following your travels. Please don’t let your dogs wander in WA, 1080 baits are everywhere, hate to see your fur babies be poisoned. Take care, safe travels. 👍👍
Thanks so much guys, really appreciate you taking time to watch and comment. It’s definitely scary with the amount of 1080 bait over here. We are doing our best to keep them close by, as much as they just want to run free
Killer episode, guys, thoughly enjoyed the trip and scenery. Can't wait to do it myself. Puncture repair kit is cheap insurance. If it's just a simple hole like a screw size hole, no dramas. I've had up to 5 dog turds (as"we"call them).. in a tyre and left them till the tyre wore out quiet regularly, no drama's. Always getting shards of grader blade or tex screws or similar in our tyres. You'll be surprised the more often you do it the better you get at it. And figure out how reliable they are. And save buying more tyres. Enjoy guys👍🍻 and for kids 🧃🧃
Thanks so much mate! Glad you enjoyed it. Was definitely a favourite of ours so far! Killer scenery over here in WA. Definitely feeling a lot more relaxed now we have some new tyres and a solid brand, which is good because some of the roads we have been on the past few weeks have been atrocious haha
Hi Ben, Ash, Emma and Noah. What an awesome family you guys are and the furry babies are so cute. Newly subscribed and we have enjoyed your videos immensely. Stunning scenery and your videos, time lapse are drone footage is so well done 👏 Amazing job with the ongoing repairs Ash. Just on that subject we have a Starcraft Outback full van with independent suspension. Scrubbed out all 4 of our tyres and discovered that we needed a wheel alignment. Had it done by a Truck Specialist and New tyres are wearing much better. Not sure if you want to look into it. Apologies for such a lengthy comment, we wish you safe and happy travels. Look forward to the next video. Cheers Jane and John 😊
Thanks so much Jane and John, we massively appreciate the nice words, it goes such a long way to encouraging us to keep putting in the effort with the videos. That’s a great idea about the alignment. I thought the tyre wear looked a bit weird on the old tyres, so will look into getting it done when we hit a bigger town next.
I’m glad you noticed Ash’s handy work, she’s amazing with all the tools and is always keen to learn.
Hope you have had a great weekend!
Ben
We buy net fruit bags from Coles or Woolworths for our dachshund when we travel in the wheatbelt or Goldfields.
Haha that’s an awesome idea!! Thanks for the tip and appreciate you watching
@RoamingCoastlines also great to stop constantly eating. Get a few packs because as you know, dachshunds will be dachshunds.
Haha don’t we know! We will give that one a go for sure!
Peace Gorge is near Meekatharra
Yep it sure is! Really beautiful place hey
Great vid. When did you do this?
Thank you! Stoked you enjoyed. This was about 3 weeks ago
@ loved the vid. It really is the hot time to be there
Thank you! It definitely was, but not bad at night time. And the positive was getting it all very uncrowded which was nice!
Do you tow the caravan in 4th or 5th gear? I have a v8 troop too have recently bought a little jayco. I have heard you are not supposed to tow in 5th with these cars as 5th is an overdrive gear and the gear box will break from strain in 5th. However in 4th she is revving like mad sitting on 100! Curious what you do cheers
Hey mate I read some of that stuff too, but I also read that it isn’t true, so who knows. I’ve been towing in 5th, just drop back to 4th when needed. However it isn’t needed too often since I got a tune. As you said, if you were to tow in 4th it would be screaming all the time. I’ve found 5th be good and haven’t had any kind of dramas, car is running great
Leave Albany till about February if you can weather will be nicer
Thanks for the tip! We are going to try hold off getting down there for as long as possible. Will hopefully be late January/feb
Do you have a signal booster on your iCheck
Another great episode team👍
Thanks mate! Really appreciate it.
No signal booster, just the standard kit. Thought I might need one, but seems to work well without
@@RoamingCoastlines Thank, I’ll hold off buying the booster and see how they go
@ yep I reckon that’s the go mate! Give it a crack first without!
Why do these people have such annoying ocka speak
Haha cheer up mate 🤟🏻
