Rewatching this video with our move coming up shortly, you make perfect sense :) Thank you for all the informative videos
Happy to help Bidisha! Wish you luck with your move
The amazon shopping list links are more useful to assess and decide to buy stuffs. Really appreciate the time and effort involved to bring this list.😊😊😊
Hi Prem, thank you!! Hope they are useful.
Thank you for making this video. This is very helpful :)
Glad it was helpful Gaurav.
Agreed not to carry the whole kitchen with you but carrying utensils from India helps initially, 2 plates, 2 steel glasses, 2 cups , 1 kadhai. etc. The thing is, everything will be available there but at the start you wont be shopping off for your kitchen items, I think you should address this point as your opinion rather than hard liner - "Pack the bare minimum".
But this video really helped in other aspects !!
I guess it also depends on where you’ll live as soon as you move. If you are a student, you are absolutely right, one must carry a glass, plate etc but if you plan on staying initially in an airbnb or a hotel, these things would be available and it buys you time to go buy them for your own place. Hope that helps. Thank you for sharing this!! Appreciate it.

What is the quantity of medicines that can be carried into the UK from India with prescription? Especially liquid, creams and ointments
Hi just wanted to ask can we carry big 500ml shampoo bottles
Hi ashika ,
Do i need to get international driving permit? Or normal indian driving lisence is enough?
Hi Ashika,
Im considering a UK move from India. Im still at information gathering phase and wanted to know what are the best cities for IT jobs.
Not sure howz the situation after covid, but does UK have remote jobs or is that a rare condition. Reason is i can always move to a cheaper place such as Birmingham to manage my expenses.
The pressure cooker rubber thingy is called a washer i believe
Hi Ashika, all of your videos r so very useful n amm..zzzing, your good English flow gives a good feel while listening to your videos, thank u Ash n your service i as gr8, godbless.
Hi I just need to know the better cities to move for people who have been selected in young professional scheme can you please do the video for that...
Hey Ashika how did you move your dog to the UK? If you could make a video on that as well on the required documents etc. 😊
Heyy just saw this. All sorted now 👍❤️
Useful information ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!! Hope it helps.
why should one spend extra money on items that you already own? It's easier to add an extra luggage for 20 euros that spend 10 times more to purchase duplicates of those items in UK
A lot of people don't have the need for things like thick warm clothes that are required in the UK. Rather than buy new ones there, buy them here and save the space for things you really need. You'll realise how much you have when you try shutting your suitcase.
Awesome video. When you get an unfurnished house for rent in UK. What does it comes with? Fridge, washing machine, dryer?
Hi there. Most houses come with what they call white goods which include a fridge, a gas stove mostly with an oven, a washing machine & dryer and some houses also have a dishwasher.
And thank you for the kind words.
very helpful, thanks
Thank you Christopher!
How to apply for international drivers license ?
This was the most helpful video for me
HI there Akansha. Thank you for the kind words.
This is probably the most helpful and practical video for moving to UK. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Wish you the best with your move!
Hey Ashika
Can a TV bought in India work in the UK? I do have a good Sony TV and am wondering if it is worth carrying it along to the UK
Hey there. Yup it works. We took our TV along. Just remember to carry a converter.
Hi, do please let me know the process of carrying it ..thanks in advance
@@AbsolutelyAshika want to know the process
Nice videos! :)
Thanks Edina!
Hello,
How much cash do you recommend bringing along at London for couple? And rest amount should we carry forex card or open a international bank account from India?
Hi Rritambhara, we didn’t carry much cash. Just a couple of hundred pounds for emergencies. We had a forex card and activated international banking on our Indian cards instead.
Kindly make a video on Work from home jobs or Freelance jobs as substitutions for Part time jobs for international students
Really informative
Thank you Ahsan!
I am planning to migrate to Nottingham.
I would like to know few things, if you can help with these:
1. Approximately how much can be the rent of an accomodation? I am moving with Spouse and 2 kids.
3. In a furnished house, do we get all kind of utensils available? What can be missing except pressure cooker.
4. Is there any site or app you can refer from where I can get some idea about the accomodation?
Hi Sandipan. I suggest you check this video on finding houses in the UK.
th-cam.com/video/xc1seUozTIs/w-d-xo.html
There are a bunch of websites that are mentioned that will give you an idea of how much it will cost you.
Most unfurnished houses come with a fridge, a washing machine and drier and a gas stove/ oven. Some have a dish washer. I suggest you buy the rest here
If you’d like an idea on cost of living, this is one month into moving

Wow ashi 😍😍🥰🥰😍
Thanks a ton Priyanka ❤️
Looking forward to meet u if ever we get to have our visas approved
I hope you like coffee
Just checking. Doesn’t each person get 2 pieces of luggage, 23kg each?
Hey Krishnapriya, it also depends on the airline. This was for British airways
Can you please detailed video about cooking
On what exactly about cooking Vivek?
I live in UK since 1968. I have often brought back pressure cookers from India, and within couple of years, the handle would break, or it wouldn’t work. I have bought pressure cookers from here too, but my vote goes to Amazon’s own brand.
When I arrived, we couldn’t get everything. Indian shops were in major cities only, we had to drive for hours to do the shopping, may be twice a year. Now you name it, you will get it. While I agree with Ashika about not to bring utensils etc from India, I wonder whether new arrives would have enough £ (British currency) to do the shopping straight away?
I brought a suitcase full of saris with me as I was newly married, but didn’t use any as I found it too cold.
UK is a very good country to live in, but you will enjoy it more if you integrate with the local people regularly, don’t just be friends with people from India.
Funnily, one of my pressure cookers survived. The other didn't. Sigh. And don't get me started on the sarees. I never used even one.
Belan also
Thanks
Hope it was helpful Abubakar!
@@AbsolutelyAshika yeah it helped me a lot. Thanks a bunch
