This movie was far better at giving exposition than it’s sequels . There is interesting visuals, a good soundtrack, a great performance by fishburne and a great script. The matrix is high concept science fiction and could easily be boring but this movie was very well made

The Matrix was finished after one movie. The system was surprised by its popularity so released the sequels in order to dilute the message. The sequels are good action movies but they add nothing substantial to the lore. I have 4 but haven't watched it yet. In the end times we are living, I expect 4 is a direct attack on the premise of the original if nothing else.
