  • How to catch trout on lures - the EASY way. This video is full of tips and tricks that will help you catch more fish, GUARANTEED. More specifically, we look at how lure fishing for trout can be made easier in clear, low water conditions when it can be difficult with methods like spinning. If you've done a lot of lure fishing before then this won't be new to you, and you will probably already use this technique but I hope you learn something from it regardless. Plus, we even managed some huge surprise fish at the end and had a bite from a VERY unlikely species.

    Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

    I'm catching up on your latest video's but thanks to this one, I remember chubs exist in the first place. I had to translate to Dutch to find out what they are called here. Chub seems to be more of a fish that is occasionally caught with maggots.

    • @dougreid1951
      @dougreid1951 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're planning to release the fish, why have the barb at all?
      Most of my trout fishing is done with flies and switching from barbed to barbless had no effect on the lost fish to landed fish ratio ( I usually lose one in three), but they are easier to release, especially the little ones.

      I meant more for the dissolved oxygen concentrations. They can struggle to recover after being caught if the water temps are approaching 20. Maybe it is not that high yet though.

    • @callumnoblett4905
      @callumnoblett4905 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lots of fly fisherman not going out in this heat as it puts a lot of stress on the fish.
      Keep in them in the net to de-stress , recover a bit. Anything much above 20 is a bit too warm.
      Quite a few fishing waters in the S.E of England actually close when it gets too hot in summer
