Very good video. I love watching your channel. I have a question regarding your comment at 3:08 about reference lines. You said you used the outside of the house to get your reference line. Can you explain, if my assumption is incorrect? I assume you measure an arbitrary number at each end from outside the sill plate and make a mark on the perpendicular plate since the pates have been squared, laser down to the concrete floor, and then chalk a line? Keep up with the great content.
I think your assumption is correct… I don’t care too much about marking on the perpendicular plate. I just drop it down to the basement directly. Check out our “chalking lines” video to see exactly how we do this.
