- Watch this video for instructions on how to properly install firmware update 0.8 onto your SCUF Vantage.
Firmware version 0.8 fixes the following isolated and infrequent issues:
• Optimizes thumbstick responsiveness, addressing cases that relate to “deadzone” or "drift"
• Resolves occasional loss of remapping settings when turning off PS4/Pro console
• Fixes Bluetooth pairing issues which have been identified on occasions (for Wireless controllers)
• Addresses an issue that could cause hypersensitive triggers

Hey everyone, I know everyone is confused on the calibration part and I contacted SCUFGAMING before I did the new firmware update myself. I talked to a lady Nicole in support chat and she told me to listen to the the guy about doing clockwise rotation on BOTH thumb-sticks (Left stick and right stick) and to NOT DO counter-clockwise on the left stick and clockwise on the right stick as the picture tells us too. Hope this helps.
Before calibrating thumbsticks practice rotating both thumbsticks clockwise... Followed immediately be a graphic clearly showing one clockwise and one counterclockwise...smh

that is, I wonder if you can change x to be with the "pedal" below do you know what I mean? that is, at the apex if you have to have a pc to change the control to be able to jump with the "bot

That’s weird, it didn’t fix the issue of a post update controller I purchased. L3 issue within two weeks and terrible resolution of repair. They will have had the controller twice as long as I have before I see it again.
I dont have a PC is there any other way to update the controller

You were rotating the left thumb stick in the wrong direction. The left goes counter clockwise and the right is supposed to be rotating clockwise!!!
wow how pathetic it only offers windows support and i have a macbook clearly a failure of a franchise.
I updated the firmware and it made my controller worse so I just took it back to gamestop. It seems like it would have been a dope controller to use with all of its features but it just didn’t work 🙃

Hey scuf, I was wondering, I use my scuff vantage wired, and for a while I've been experiencing that it disconnects the controller at random times, and the wire is still on the scuff, and then after a few seconds I can turn my controller back on, how do I fix this?

Total junk. You’ll be lucky if you don’t have problems. I did out of the box. I’m in love with the idea and features, but it is literally game breaking problems.
this is my second scuff vantage and after returning and getting a new one the soundbar got stuck on mute again and cant us any headset to talk to people
What if I don't have a computer?
You can send it back and they will install it.

How pathetic is Scuf? STILL no driver to make it work on PC when its advertised as a PS4 AND PC controller. Such a joke, so frustrating, just going to return it and get a Microsoft Elite Controller like I should have done to start with.
Not to mention the guy in the video tells everyone to update their controller the wrong way while the screen shows the correct way, nice.

Yeah.... controller doesn't get picked up by my computer and stopped working all together in "wired mode". sweeeeet.
I am still having issues even though its saying I already have the new firmware update...

Volvux they have to have the back sticker for legal reasons. Plus the serial number to identify the controller. Good luck
Astro will release a way better controller than this for same price.
With a lot less buttons. Really disappointed with that.
Nino Brown I only used two paddles when I used the scuf vantage anyways so that wouldn’t be a problem for me.
the middle paddles on the back are kind of hard getting use to but I do use the side buttons and the other 2 paddles. I wouldn't downgrade to 2 paddles. plus the astro controller comes out in april its not like is out already.
Yea it depends on the game. With Warframe or Battlefield, I use the whole controller. For a less demanding game or single player, I may pickup the Astro when it comes out and see what's up.

I keep getting "error with thumbstick calibration"
It took me 50 tries to getting it right. If your controller has drift it probably the reason your getting the error. So keep trying and hope stick drift doesn't kick in

I already had the update installed on my Vantage upon delivery, but still had some analog stick dead zone issues. I decided to manually recalibrate the sticks in the update installer and now I have no dead zone issues. Hope this helps some people 🙂
'm from Russia and there is no way to return this device. After firmware 0.8, I began to scary. Stickers through the prog are not configured to manage it is simply not possible. I already native sticks out and put new ones in the collection and all the same, the setting of the sticks does not happen. The right paddle broke right away I made a new one myself from a more plastic material. I hope for a new firmware can fix the setting of the sticks. The gamepad is very convenient but at the moment it is dead.
Why cant you do this with a apple computer?!
I tried updating my controller even though it was already updated i didnt know though. So i didnt do the rest of the update now my left trigger doesnt work

Done the the firmware install and now the controller will not connect with the USB so I can use my headset. So I'm either going to have to buy a wireless headset or go back to the trustee duleshock and just YEET this one right into the trash. This was the BIGGEST waste of money. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.
My Vantage only came with the long trigger covers? There were none on the controller when I opened it up and I am bummed I did not receive the smaller ones. Was I supposed to have the small ones come with my Vantage? @Scufgaming

Dual shock works perfect out the box. Why at the very least not make a PS4 app? Worst $200 bucks ever spent.
if the calibration says "failed", just try it a few times. messed up for me 4x before working. now its as if it were new.

I do have it, but I haven't installed this firmware update. I highly recommend you stay away from any SCUF products. The only reason this wasn't an instant return was because I was busy with school. I suggest waiting for the new Astro controller just announced for the ps4, it looks promising.
Awful controller. Waste of money and time. Wish i never bothered with it now nothing but problems and all their support will say to you on twitter is "DM your order number". zero help

Dont buy it. Ive had all the generations of scuf and this is the only one that ive had issues with. Even after the update the thumb sticks dont feel right.

Seeing many comments of problems 4,5,6,7 days old is not giving me the confidence id like to have in a product I'm asked to pay $200 for. Will I get a broke one or a good one? I will continue to wait. If not fixed soon, with the ps4 life cycle ending in the next couple of yrs, I may let this desire pass and wait for the PS5 to roll out.
Bought mine 2 months ago and haven't had any problems except for left stick drift. But it was a quick fix after one recalibration with their program. Overall thought it was a good buy even though they sent me the wrong color faceplate lol.

The right stick shows rotate clockwise and the left stick counter clockwise but he says both c clockwise....... Which way is right??????? Cause my right stick is now all over the place and clicking L3 to Sprint cancels everyone now.......
I got the vantage about two months ago and thought it was a pretty good controller till i played on my friends impact last night and it's kinda night and day. Pretty much eveything about it was better. Wish I would have just ordered one of them instead. Great idea but wasn't executed right.

I checked to see if my controller was updated to get rid of these dead zones but it said it was already updated to 0.8. Then after I did the joystick test, it said there was an error. Can someone please help me?

this firmware did nothing but same problems or even more. stay away from this controller. don't waste your money!!! trust me.
Anyone else have the problem where you keep getting an error when calibrating the thumbstick? I've been redoing it for 2 hours...........
bad instruction you should fix this vdo. the calibration process needs to be done correctly by rotate left stick counter clock wise and right stick clock wise.

When I press on the vantage update in my desktop it says that it can’t download because of the DOS settings
I ordered a scuff, and out of nowhere they refund me less than what I paid and no explanation why???

Before update my left stick was very sensitive and would drift downward after update everything is working smoothly. It was hard for me to justify buying a $200.00 controller even so when I used it out of the box and it just wasn’t what I expected that being said after the update everything feels smooth. The price needs to come down a bit in my opinion.

They just released a patch that has the drivers needed to allow your scuf to be used on PC
