Nice sander.... Tip..after a tool post swap turn the belt by hand to get your belt alignment. No way to tear a belt with that. Also take a marker a draw a line on the tool post where they end up at. Next time you can go straight to that line and your golden.

When you build your mount/table for this thing, build in a pivot on the motor side of the machine so you can flip the thing horizontal. It will open up some other possibilities...now I guess I have to go make an IG account...

I saw in PFI video they used some tube lube or lube tube (they called it wax) on their abrasives.
I froze it to read the tube.It was Lubricating Wax.Good call.

Flap disc really work better,and longer with lubricating wax too.

Get you a tempered glass platen, it'll last longer than the steel one.

You can also regrind cams,slowly and carefully so as to not sand beyond the heat treating to make a performance cam or cams... Take material off of the opposing side from the lift side..adjust valves and voila you have more lift but same duration or if you get good you can make a more radical profile utilising stronger springs of course...

You’re obviously not a knife maker but your doing okay 👍 we usually run the platen touching the belt . But you will set it up to suit your needs 👍👍🛠
A knife maker is someone who makes knives. ANY person can be this. Maybe he's not a tradesman, or craftsman but doesn't mean he's not a knifemaker. He's certainly not a snob.

If you own chickens are you a chicken farmer or an egg grower is a 2x72 a shop grinder if it isn’t used for making knives . You need to get out more 😂😂😂

Seems like a nice product. I have a home built 2x72 but would like to get something better like this. I went to their site and even though the prices are good and products seem well designed and built I was really put off by the product descriptions. Too much complaining about 'competitors' stealing there designs (which may be true) and saying their products are best and everyone else makes crap. Just compete by building quality products for a fair price and leave the slander to political campaigners.
