who needs a H22 when a F22 can do the job
They are the same really only a few things different but you can drop a h22 head on an f22 block the head is really the only thing different but with porting you can get just as much
Lol no, the f22b is not the same block as h22.this not like the k24. It will fit but 2 oil passages will not line up. this ia not plug and play. even if you manage to make it work, the power will be nowhere near 190hp because of low compression. stock f22b has low compression, better to use turbo on it will yield more power that way.
@@mallowricyano937 who said " B " ? why not an A?
@@mallowricyano937 MANY f22 with k20 pistons (must be reversed) and h22 head FBO and tune making over 200whp, use an f23 block and majority of those NA make 240whp with room to grow
right! i thought of getting a h22 in my accord but the stock engine makes just as much power!
People have always slept on these motors. I've seen them make 200whp NA. K20 pistons, delta 272 regrind, and a good IM and header/exhaust. Cheap and easy power, would walk a 200whp b-series because of the torque too.
If you've got the extra cash stick an H22 head on it and build an all motor killer
@@barneymiller7894 the h22 head aint worth the work to make it work on the f22 block. Better off just swapping at that point
@@TheMonstered1 I think you actually have a point there
Dose the car still run ?
@patrickkerce I'm trying this method how much u think it going run me?
broooo, i just picked up an extra f22 to start a turbo build. needless to say thank you for the content
The music went super dope with the video, loved it!
I just got a 93. I was thinking about putting a j32 but with what I just seen am staying with that same motor and putting that f22 thanks for the video
absolutely love that header
Keep your hatchback damn it! . build it for mo power papi . Go k20 turbo 550hp or d16z6 vitara build for 500hp with a comp 59500 camshaft 😍👍.

On stock internals?? What did you did? I have an f22b2 and I honestly am about to give up on it.
@@Drpepmazing don't push it to 400 without the proper support mods..only thing i added to the motor was arp studs..other than that its all stock including the head gasket..ull need a decent fuel setup to push over 300whp..but 330-350whp should be goos enough to send it..380-400 i blew a piston ring few weeks ago

probably removed the front torque mount and hasnt put a traction bar in place yet. pretty common to go through mounts in these cars in general though

this is so great to see, i have an f22a6 in an accord wagon, with a 5 speed that i want to swap into my ek(i think its ek? 99 civic lx coupe) i always liked the pull of the f22 and i have had a hard time finding anyone else using these motors and i think it would be awesome to boost one and drop it in a civic. any other videos like this would be appreciated
Sub to the channel, I have more f series content coming this month 🤙
I have a ek on 6 pounds with a f22 block and f23 head in it with a h22 trans lol
Do a d16 instead. Y8 or Y7. Plenty of aftermarket
Late post, but if you're still curious. Keep the A6 and go with the common and cheap DSM setup. Stock internals with maybe the 16G turbo, you can make 250+ at no more than 11-13psi(safely). For extra security you could grab some head studs. Other than that depending on motor health and tuning, you should be good to go. People have pushed 300+hp out of these stock motors. Definitely don't go d16 LOL
I got a 93 coupe and man i want to make that kinda power.
i just bought a wagon 92 and this video really interested me in have the same setup on my wagon. Can you make a list of the parts i need to buy to have the same set up?
🔥🔥🔥👻
F-Series all the way !!! F22a1 and F23a1.
I'm trying to see if you guys can help me build a 500-600whp F22A1 if possible as a single long block and what you use on top manifold/tb wise.
Also, is it better to start off with the F23a1 I have already out of the car rather than focus on the F22A1 ?
That way you can eat those A10 10 speed 5.0s
Might wanna get some better mounts lol

What ecu did you use?
Hi what turbo header are you running?
Where do I get the frontlip or what is the description to find it, does anyone have the link?
I think add 20 more horsepower so in total around 140 horsepower with turbo installed.😊
Where do I get that engine I have a 1992 accord and need the parts to build it any advise and options anyone had thanks
I don't know how you're not spinning / losing traction on the dyno? I can't keep grip at 420HP....
So how much did it cost and how is it running now
SR20VET Nissans frist vtech engine. Its front wheel drive. Should be very interesting.
Looking to get 400+ from my f22b1, do I need to sleeve the block or will a supertech block guard get me by? Also having issues finding valves and springs. Seems like little to no aftermarket support these days
F22b1 have close deck blocks they can handle more boost than h22a
Where can I get a manifold like that?
this is one of the things that worry me about this engine is the rediculous amount of torque they create

F22b1 here thinking of rather a 50 shot of nitrous or 5lbs of boost I'm in Massachusetts but I don't know who to trust to guide me in the rite direction. You can see on a couple pulls that it’s pushing water or the cap isn’t sealing correctly, why keep making pulls?
The cap was faulty and wasn’t effecting the tune or engine, we continued to monitor the coolant and temps to finish the tune. The owner intended to replace the cap anyway but didn’t prior to the appointment

What company did you order your pistons from to get 9 to 1 compression? I know these engines compression ratio is like 8:8. That's the one part I haven't ordered yet because I'm not sure if the pistons would stick out of the deck or not.
They’re custom tailored with wiseco and raw performance
@@sethchurchvid oh ok. Cool. Thanks 😎
An example of how far we have come with engine technology, now we have people boosting 12:1 compression engines. With good rods and pistons you can increase the Ratio to whatever you want.
Would like to know if I want to push like 300 will stock internals do??
Yes and no. It'll work. But for how long is the question. I've heard of people doing it and it lasts a day. Others last 20k miles

Depending on the connecting rod they hold up well
A few questions:
- head gasket?
- head studs?
- camshaft?
- sleeved block?
- block guard?
Not needed F23s are iron block in not sure about f22s probs just pistons like k20, maybe rods. And I’m sure headstuds

you can swap a f20b in for minimal cost and bolt it up to your existing transmission. A stock basemap could run the new f20b great
So I don’t need to get a different engine? I can keep my f22a1?
Yurp
It won't be like the stock engine when you're done building it tho. At least you should build it so you can drive it for more than 20 mins

a bone stock f22a or f22b can handle around 300hp or safely 5-8psi of boost on the stock internals. If you want big power like the one in this clip. you gotta upgrade your rods, and pistons to handle the power. The factory crank is already forged from Honda.

Can I achieve that power with that same engine and vehicle in an automatic transmission?
Likely not with a auto
I’ve seen someone make 400hp on a f22 or cb7 auto as the car seen in this vid. Bone stock 230k mile auto. Last 8 months. Blew up using nitrous only lost reverse, now don’t quote me and manuals will defiantly always be the best option for holding power but this auto the cb7 ones I feel like with a good performance trans cooler, maybe a fresh new torque converter would hold 300-350hp for a while. And that would be you manual selecting the gears, a common fail point in Honda autos in torque converter malfunction, so if you manually select the gears i feel like it would last longer in a high hp car
Motor setup? Want to boost mine but want to build it first
Piston rod bottom end, delta cam
SethChurchVid Damn that doesn’t sound bad especially with the numbers that accord is pushin
Has anyone ever reached 500hp on a f23a? Or does it need to be heavily modified just to reach 500
Pistons rods and cam usually do the trick
about $5k and a good tuner will do the truck

No ARP headstuds, valves, springs n retainers? Nothing up top? Just bone stock head? If so then wow... who really needs a h22 when the limit is basically unlimited with this f22.. how come people aren't flocking over to build more f series?.. if they do we will see a bigger aftermarket support start to open up for us.. specially for the cb7/cd5/cd6/cd7/cg3s platforms.. if there is an after market support brand that will cater to these chassis, the money is huge since you find em all around now days and they last long as shit.. a bunch are still on the road and now there easy to find at the junkyards.
