Auction CB7 Honda Accord Coupe - What a Shame
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 14 ม.ค. 2023
- While at an auto auction, I came across this 1991 Honda Accord CB7 Coupe. I've never seen one in the flesh until today. The sedans are everywhere but the coupes are hard to come by. Why is this car here at a vehicle auction? Is it worth restoring? Watch until the end of the video to find out!

Bid on it...I would if I didn't live 800 miles away
You got at least one leg and one arm all you need for a automatic
800$
lol we bought a 92 accord for 2,000$ with 140,000 miles in 2007 5 speed
@@Looza_man automatic is better than manual its a fact accept it
@@12LOGIC12 said no one ever 💀
@@Looza_man can't help that its true tho thats not my fault manual cars are dogshit manual transmission ruins every vehicle its put into
Damn automatic seatbelts really take you back
time machine
They’re super cool but I have them on my dsm and the only complaint I have is that it gets old having to explain to passengers why the car is trying to strangle them
Lol
No actually what automatically seat belts
@@wss952 what dsm do u got I got a 1990 Plymouth laser rs
When I see a Honda that can still start up after being left for dead it always brings warmth to my heart like thank god there’s ppl in this world who really care about building cars.
I had one dammit, ugh I miss that car everyday
Same here. 4 door maroon, lightly modded was my most reliable daily
Why would you get rid of it
I had a clean 92 coupe with an h23 vtec swap and crashed it. I still regret that everyday
@@thesambehindtheslaughter8843that's my daily now. Same colorway. 91.
I daily a 9.5 Gen Accord V6 coupe. Tons of fun. Seeing one this old and this pristine is like looking at my own car's heritage.
where it all started
gotta love that car
9th gens were 👌
That’s the exact car I’m trying to find to buy right now, but everything is either clapped or people think it’s worth like 15k
I drive a 2000 Honda accord v6. It’s awesome
I actually own one, same color, two door with 5 speed manual it has automatic seatbelts too. Mine is a little rougher looking, clearcoat failing a little bit of rust. But I'll have that fixed and it will be painted in the next year
the clearcoat on my old civic did the same thing. It just adds character
How its looking now?
Anyone selling one in nyc?
DAMN THE THING IS STILL RUNNING AND WORKING WELL
Its a honda ofc it still runs 😂
That's a 90-91 Accord. 92-93 were the years they phased out the automatic seatbelts.
These cars are amazing. Will run FOREVER.
Forever ever? Cause I got one as my first car like 2 weeks ago and it kinda shifts funny and it also shakes a lil when you don't let it warm up before driving, I thought it was engine mounts (they looked like crap) but I could be wrong do you have any advice? I also checked the transmission fluid and it looked good so it's not that.
@@thomasledfart3487I would say your Engine mounts are going bad and for the transmission I think it's time to do a fluid flush
@@tommorgenshtern4609it probably shifts funny BECAUSE of a fluid flush. The car is likely high mileage, for which a flush is always dangerous. Flushing is a gimmick to begin with
@@thomasledfart3487it's a 30 year old car. If your only problem is some shakes and funny shifts it's doing pretty well.
@@wigletron2846 okay so I know my description probably doesn't sound too bad, but it's bad, I take a corner too fast it shakes, I break too quickly it shakes, god forbid I break in a corner because the steering wheel shakes like it has a death wobble, i can't get it over 60 mph without hitting over 3k rpms and it's supposed to shift at 2k-2.5k, it also really likes to hold though gears sometimes like reaching 3.5k rpms in 1-3rd gear even tho it's supposed to shift at 2-2.5 and sometimes it does and it's smooth other times it doesn't want to and will "jump" when it finally shifts, which is why I think it's engine mounts and especially when I haven't moved it yet when I put it into gear it will "jump" especially in reverse, and by jump I mean you can feel it shift and sometimes it takes a second for it to shift into gear
Had a h22 swapped cb7 sedan . Such a good time , even if it wasn’t all that fast . Still think about that car all the time
same, still have my h22a swapped cb7 sedan with 5 speed manual and looking for video of project on it and came acrosss this
I had a 92 coupe with an h23 vtec
The start was so satisfying!
My dad had a 92 cb7 auto, first car I ever worked on like 15 years ago now. Bought one a few years ago 93 5 speed same tan paint and burgundy interior. My comfort car man, shit takes me back
Automatic transmission at least means relaxing drive most of the time, and that also means you can lend your friends or relatives who can't drive manual.
*_Damn… that still has allot of potential 🥺_*
This has nothing to do about what your comment said but I never knew you could italicize emojis
@@mrfilmer9270 lmao me neither
Its always so amazing to see an old honda come alive from a very long hibernation. These cars truly were engineered beyond their time
I had one, 92 Accord LX with the 2.2 and a 5 speed. Slight damage on the passenger side, but with original engine, trans, and clutch, she had over 658k miles and ran beautifully. I miss her.
Wow
Those cars were just absolutely solid and easy to work on.
@@fijitears I believe there is more than one certified 1,000,000-mile CB7.
This is a great car. A good friend had a black manual coupe when I was a teenager. Threw some coil overs on it and it felt like a race car. I believe it's still sitting behind his parents barn under a car port. Close to 20 years it's even sitting there.
Go and buy it !
Wave some cash in front of them .
" Money doesnt talk ,

@Jay Hockley I've thought about it a couple times over the years. I've had a few Hondas myself but that car still sits fondly in my memory.
go save it!
My car! But it's 4 door and a '93. Works a charm, burns no oil.
That thing is beautiful, new gray interior and it’s perfect
My dad used to own the same gen Honda Accord but it's a sedan version. I really love his Accord because that's the car that sparked my love for cars. I remember when I was like 5-6 years old my dad brought me to an empty parking lot and he let me steer the car (while his foot on the pedals) we had a lot of fun ngl. Best dad & son bonding memory ever
I love the 1990-91 CB7, like this one. in 92, they added a driver’s airbag and removed the auto seatbelts. my first car was supposed to be my grandparents’ near-mint 91. Silver, burgundy interior. i grew up in that car. i still remember the sound of the automatic transmission which had a pretty distinct whine in 1st and 2nd gear.
That is a nice find!
Achievement unlocked: new dream car
Gotta snag that bad boy!!!
Childhood for me in this car, my uncle had two 12” SoloBarics fitted in. We took so many trips in this car. His brother-in-law still has it running from time to time.
This literally makes me miss my 92 Honda Accord lx and especially when you tried starting it memories started flooding back
A cb7 is my daily atm. Fantastic little sedan.
Classic!!! Honda at its best!!! Those things are still all over the road today!!! I’d take that thing home in a second!!
My homie had one, it cruised so smooth
I had a black, manual, EX '90 Accord my first few years of college. Great car!!!
I had a 92 coupe. I miss that car, it was great.
Fixing my Grandpa's 93 Accord as we speak. Inside is pristine and he bought it brand new in 93.
That type was my first car. Miss it every day.
I used to have a CB7, I absolutely loved it.
I miss my CB Accord Wagon so much. Those F22s are basically bulletproof
I have a 92 Honda accord manual transmission 4 cil- really nice cars
Honda once again still start no matter what
I’m buying a cb7 tomorrow. Ex model. Extremely excited
That body style of accord is deff my favorite
I love my 92' coupe, had it for over 20 years
Classic tuner car only the og’s really know about them
My mom had one of those all the way when I was young till I got to middle school. Thing had like 300,000 plus on it. She bout a truck but still would drive it time to time. RIP mom
One of my buddies has one exactly like this but in manual, he bought it brand new and loves it, I live in New Hampshire and it's not uncommon to 3' of snow at time and he'll take that over his truck.
My grandfather's neighbor had one in automatic and the rd we lived on was a nightmare to go through but that little car always made it without a problem.
Those little cars were built like a tank and I should've bought one when I had the chance but it would've been a complete strip down to almost every last nut and bolt.
Wow this is a throw back to my childhood
Very cool car
My dad owned an 91 Accord EX as his first car however upon getting a new car the Accord sat for years and never started, I took an automotive class in Highschool and figured out it would be a nice car to learn on regarding automotive stuff however due to unfortunate circumstances and peer pressure from mom and friends and having no more money and or space to store the Accord I had to bid farewell I've spent 500$ in restoring it just to get 200$ from the junkyard. It's been 4 years already since 2019, and I'm still grieving about it. I currently own a 2003 Dc5S however it doesen't really hit the feels as the Accord did. Anyways life lesson is if you really love a car it is better to keep it, don't listen to people who say otherwise or else you'll have regrets. Currently in college, however, I hope there will still be cb7's lying around by 2030, being a broke college student sucks.
2030?! Bro they gonna be long gone or Cost an arm and leg by then.
This is worth saving. These are becoming rare
I had this car growing up as a hand me down in 2001. This was my ride. So I know first hand how this car was brand new from the dealer in 1992
I was wondering what accord I saw when I was a kid that made me fall in love with Honda but I think that’s it, god damn that’s a beauty
I had one of these as my second car, also an automatic. I had no idea they weren't that common. It was a piece of junk, but I won't lie, I kinda miss it. It was a surprisingly quick and fun little beater to have as a high school kid. Ended up getting frustrated with it when the drivers door got stuck closed, which in hindsight was a really minor thing considering mechanically it was in great shape.
Had 4 sedans currently have a 90 coupe ! My favorite Hondas man!!
Those cars never die
I had a coupe like that in black with a 5 speed, was such an awesome car.
Cb7 is my first car and damn for 28yrs old this car is the toughest in the streets... stockbois
I used to have a 1992 Honda Accord EX Coupe (CB7) perfect condition with 389k original miles on the odo sold it recently, but I’m regally regretting it. These are fantastic cars and are really peppy even with a. 2.2 I4 F22 motor.
one of my neighbors has one of these in white and he’s older and drives it really slow under the speed limit. it’s in perfect condition and sits in his driveway most days.
I love these cars. I don't know why particularly but I do.
My dream car. Can’t find this anymore.
I love those cars. I've owned a few, including an H22 swapped 5 speed.
my first car was a cb7 sedan, miss that car so much.
ah and she still starts. gem of a car
My mom had one of those when I was really young, a green 4 door! good times :)
Beautiful car. One of Honda's best
I had a 90 cb7 sedan 5 speed. Loved the car.
My Dad had a grey 90 sedan 5 speed it was the best car ever. My sister would say daddy make the car go vroom vroom when she would get dropped off at school lol. It had chrome 20s, a pioneer single din that would
Show surfers, f1 racers, hot air balloons, and fish under water. I still remember the smell of the seats the feel of the shifter and the sound oh man. He put altezza tails only on the inners and he put the emblem from the original Xbox controller in the middle of his Utah plate jaja. Good times.
I had a manual 1992 accord coupe completely stock. My favorite car I ever owned. Wish I would just kept fixing it. Never needed work. Owned from 220k miles to 285k miles only replaced the radiator. No a/c because I didn't want to convert it but I should've. 35 mpg on the reg
Love my 99 coupe. Mint condition. Pushing 200k and it’s more compliments than most modern cars I’ve driven. Do wish it was manual though lol.
I would love to have more Honda's ah
Man I had a 91 SE sedan and it was nice def bring back memories
Seeing this makes me miss my old 94 2dr Acura legend it was a manual too
Currently on schedule to go see one today just like this one and I’m so exited to potentially buy it :)
I have one myself and it’s manual transmission my first car and I love it so much 😁it’s sad to see this in the yard
I got a 93 EX 5speed sedan In rosewood metallic brown she's the daily and my home(I live in her) She treats me right lowered 2.25 inch by truhart coilovers on some motegi FF7 she gets alot of attention about how someone owned one and regretted selling ect ect, Fresh motor swap with 100k miles imported she's got the beefy F22a6 Configuration, Truly unique gem can't replace her with another car if I tryed, I stay taking pics of her when I'm out and about the sun be like KACHOWW
That’s crazy my friends dad had one of these growing up. It was driven as it was made to be and then scrapped after sitting for years. Very sad to think I lived and grew up with so many now “collectable” vehicles
I had one with the V6, nice older car.
I drive a beat up ol cb7 4 door. Love that car so much, easiest clutch on any car. Fun in the twisties. The best kind of slow, feels fast.
Hope you shine this gem to it's potential..👊🏼😎
PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE THIS GEM! 😢😢
I’ve had 4 different types of the accord coupe. All were great to me.
Bro i had a 93 accord coupe exact color marron interior man i miss that car if that car would speak of all the fun times in the backseat 😊
I had a 92 lx sedan back in the day
That level of damage is what we call “student driver parallel parking every other Saturday” can be fixed for less than an oil change and we consider it routine maintenance
i absolutely love the cb7, its my all time fav, my grandma used to have one
Yeah man had my cb7 coupe ex-r tourqose for almost 4yrs. Did a JDM f23a Vtec swap a few upgrades man it moves! Truly a solid daily!
That's a gem
I have a 92 LX. I love it so much 🔥 get comments on it everyday!
When it starts im like she's aliveee!
I really do not miss cold weather.
I own a manual 5 speed coupe cb7, it’s such a fun car, makes me sad to see this one, which was clearly loved by its owner just sitting in a auction lot rotting away
Man I love those tail lights
I love my cb7, second one I've owned. 😎
My dad had one when we lived in Mexico and that car was the shit, it was a fun zippy little thing to whip around in
My friend was able to pick up a cb7 coupe in relatively good condition for $1500 a few months ago 🔥
I got a 90 accord sedan, and man do I love that thing
I love watching your videos bro, and this accord is almost like my EF civic. The auto seat belts are nifty. Keep up the good work!
Appreciate it - thank you!
@@bendaga you replied! That's so cool! Most youtubers don't. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Get it man get it if I didn’t live across the us I would be there
My neighbor has a coupe manual and in green. Keeps it stock and drives it daily. So jealous
Thanks for sharing, I also own a cb7, 5speed, plus a dodge neon Srt-4 and a Honda s2000 and out of the 3 cars i daily drive the cb7 she’s at 252,460 miles and her name is “o’l reliable” 😊❤
My '92 Wagon(cb9) "Lovely" after Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" with 283,000 miles. 100mph like a rock star, dbl wishbone and discs all around. Blast to drive.
I almost got one of these for my first car and struck gold on one with the red felt interior. Girl sold it for less than I offered for it. I don't think she knew what she had.
One of my favorite hondas ever and I had a few! Miss my old one lots of memories! Easy to work on, and can swap just about anything into one ❤
Cb7 coupes go hard , I need one in my life , we had a cb7 4 door for yearsssss but it died when my sister wrapped it around a pole :(
