Hi again ES I've noticed while I'm out on the touring every so often the drum brake line comes out of it's housing does that happen to you?. I'll know because the hand brake goes really loose which is annoying. I've tried adjusted it but it doesn't seem to keep seated. Also does this just have drum brake? Because P-9 settings have Ebrake/regen adjustment but when I spoke to someone at voromotors online they said it doesn't have a ebrake just regen which you won't notice? So whys there a setting for ebrake in p setting? Also the rear hub motor gets really hot after rides is that normal like really hot?
I replied to your other comment. Ebrake and Regen are the same, and the touring has it. If the brake cable is coming out a lot i'd make sure you ziptie it to the rear swing arm. I have had it catch sometimes and pull the cable out of the stop, it's a bit of a design weak point with all rear drum brake scooters.
@@ElectronSurfer ah ok so where would you attach the zip tie? Explain a little more just so I know. Yeah every ride it comes out it's like every little bump moves it so annoying having to stop to fix it sometimes I can't even brake properly when it's loose.

Slightly concerning that it just dies on you though! Thanks for your advice.
I think you have something wrong with how your rear brake and motor are working together. That is not something should be happening and I suspect with your brake issues that it's affecting the motor as the drum brake can create motor drag if improperly setup or malfunctioning. I think you need to do a video call with the company you bought it from to get your scooter working correctly.
Electron Surfer yeah it could all be connected I guess. The drum brake hasn't been great tbh I've really tightened that up and zip tied it but still it's a little unpredictable sometimes. Regarding the cut off maybe because I'm going around in gear 3 all the time and going up some inclines maybe it just got too hot and did a safety cut out you think?
@@thew4rrior5code The gear is just a speed limit, there are not actual gears in the motor. You should be able to spin the motor by hand with no brake drag, if its basically lightly braking at all times I could see some heat issues. I ride here when it's over 100 degrees with no issues.

Does the handlebars slowly move down throughout a ride on the Zero 9 due to road vibrations, weight stress, and gravity like my Zero 8? I found that just using the provided clamp is not enough. It'd be great if these adjustable handlebar height stems have preset holes so this doesn't happen for greater durability and safety
@Peter L, The Emove has 2 preset holes, I think more could be added pretty easily. I put a new clamp on my Zero 8 and still get the handlebar dropping slowly which is a bummer. How many miles are on your Zero 8?

@@aragorn318 I'll point that out in my upcoming test results video, should be out this week. On my zero 8 , I pulled the quick release and put in a nut and bolt, i just crank that down and leave the handlebar extended. That clamp and the rear fender are disappointing. Thanks

Do you know what the 4 bolts on the bottom of the deck are for? I know the ones at the back of the deck are for the seat which I've taken out but the underneath deck ones (near the stem end) I don't know what there purpose is? Ive taken them off because 1 cross threaded weren't tightening up so I see it as 4 air holes to keep battery cool lol.
On man, put those back on stat! They hold the bracket in place which is what on the top side the handlebar/folding mechanism bolt to. The bracket inside is like a sandwich bolted to from the top and bottom. I'd contact Voro about getting it fixed. They holes can be tapped to the next size bolt just be careful not to damage any wires.
@@ElectronSurfer no no not those holes! I know those are for the stem i mean turn the scooter upside down there's 4 bolts underneath where the battery is I think they maybe hold the controller in battery compartment but with those out nothings happened
@@thew4rrior5code Those are just as important actually. I pulled an entire touring apart to see how it was put together. The bracket inside is held from the top at the stem/folding mechanism and from the bottom bolts. It is possible you will get little effect but just as possible the folding mechanism will loosen suddenly. The controller sits inside that bracket but is in there loosely (not bolted down). Pretty much on these folding scooters there are no optional bolts.
@@ElectronSurfer There are optional bolts though! I have 4 bolts at the very back of the deck for if I were to install a seat which I don't want too so I've removed those because I want my feet on even ground no bolts sticking out lol

Quick question - Do you think I'll have any trouble with reaching the handlebars if I am 6'6? I do have pretty long arms, proportionate with my height. I just don't want to have to hunch forward in order to grip the handlebars...what do you think?
@Christopher Smack, The touring's bars go pretty high @ 41.5" from the deck. Being that tall you are probably used to making adjustments, i'm not sure if you will be comfortable. If you live in Northern Ca you can come ride one, which is really the only way to know. I'm not sure how helpful that was, I'll try to get a tall friend to try it out on camera.
@@ElectronSurfer Thanks for the prompt response. You're definitely right about me being used to making adjustments due to my height, and I'm sure I'll be fine (mr arms are pretty long, after all). I live in NJ, so unfortunately, I won't be able to come out and test ride one, but the more I think about it, the more comfortable and excited I am to make this purchase! Thank you for all of the valuable information!
The 2019 had a strong e-brake. Note that an ebrake and regenerative braking are really the same thing. It just lets the motor act as a generator which slows it down. It sounds like you may have a bad brake lever, hitting it should kick you out of cruise control and its the same wire that keys in the ebrake.
Electron Surfer ES when I fully pull brake handle back the magnet seems a little out of place could you either do a vid on it or describe where the magnet needs to be situated on that silver bracket thing. Thanks
@@thew4rrior5code The magnet isn't visible when you pull the brake, that is likely the cable end. The ebkrake only takes a small amount of pull to engage, is there any damage to the brake lever? I suggest asking who you bought it from first but you can also email me through my website www.electron-surfer.com.
Electron Surfer I think my regen/ebrake works after I full throttle it I.e hit the trigger to deactivate cruise control then I feel a lot of engine braking as an example like when you go down gears on a car. Also if you look at the p-settings on voromotors website on the p9 setting which is regen strength it says it activate once you hit the trigger all the way so maybe my 20/20 version is wired differently to yours?

@MikeyYT, I responded to your comment on the Cruiser video. The Touring is about the highest weight rated scooter in this price range. So that gives you a warranty if things go south, other scooters with lower weight limits may not honor their warranty. I'd imagine on the Touring you'll see something close to 20 miles max range.
The touring has better suspension, more deck space, more tested range, better acceleration and when folded is more compact. I would recommend the touring over the swift. I have 2 swifts at home and im trying to sell one to buy a touring! hope this helped.
@rberga1, It's a little hard to compare this with the Zero 9 directly. It actually has a better ride but you can tell the tires are smaller over really rough terrain. The Touring is more nimble and the waterproofing is nice. I liked the Zero 8 better than the Zero 9 and I like this better than the Zero 8.
@@rberga1 I did a direct comparison video between them. I like the handling, quickness, and clean lines of the Zero 8 better. The extra brakes and comfort of the Zero 9 wasn't enough to make it a more desirable scooter for me. That choice was more personal preference really, some people thought I was nuts for liking the 8 better.
@Peter L, there are some similarities for sure. I think the Emove is more comfortable with similar performance (I'll be testing this today). The extra suspension and the way the rear tire matches up to the front is nice. I'll be testing acceleration and braking today.

@@aragorn318 I'll point that out in my upcoming test results video, should be out this week. On my zero 8 , I pulled the quick release and put in a nut and bolt, i just crank that down and leave the handlebar extended. That clamp and the rear fender are disappointing. Thanks
@@ElectronSurfer Yeah, I drilled a hole into the pole last Saturday and now carry around a matching bolt and wingnut. It works perfectly. I tweaked around and got my carbon fiber rear fender working as well. I've installed a bike light and upgraded the bell. I'm good to go for another year on my Zero 8 now
Do you know what the 4 bolts on the bottom of the deck are for?
@@thew4rrior5code Oh good point, I just got the 2020 version (review in the works) and noticed those seat bolts. Aside from those ones I would keep every other bolt in! Cheers
I like it but that motor sounds like a vacum cleaner. Is it louder than the Zero 8/9?
The motor is a bit louder at take-off. I'll do a comparison video between the two so you can hear the motor difference.
How fast does it go up too?
I got the 2019 Touring to just under 21 mph with my weight of 175 pounds. I am currently testing the 2020 model to see if it is close.
Does it free roll down hill or is it always Engaged?
@Yosa, it free rolls when you aren't actively pressing on the brake lever. So it just engages when you pull the brake. Thanks for asking.
Don't think my e-brake works it doesn't kick you out of cruise control I have to hit the throttle brake does nothing in cruise?
Hi . This review is exelent. My wife bough helsef one and it is really not build nice. From the friat day we been havinv trouble with noise and stabiliyy or frame. I tough having this kind of auapwnyion will be better but if it not build right it will not reaist nyc streets or any roads .
I’m 300lbs 6’3 is this good for me, I need a scooter under 1k$ how much max miles range can I get? Do you guys prefer something else?
@MikeyYT, I responded to your comment on the Cruiser video. The Touring is about the highest weight rated scooter in this price range. So that gives you a warranty if things go south, other scooters with lower weight limits may not honor their warranty. I'd imagine on the Touring you'll see something close to 20 miles max range.
Oh okay thank you, overall is it worth the money though as a scooter for me, for the 20 mile range let’s say..
Which is better? The Emove Touring or the Turbowheel Swift? It's a very hard decision because they are both fairly similar.
The touring has better suspension, more deck space, more tested range, better acceleration and when folded is more compact. I would recommend the touring over the swift. I have 2 swifts at home and im trying to sell one to buy a touring! hope this helped.
Which do you like better? This or Zero9?
@rberga1, It's a little hard to compare this with the Zero 9 directly. It actually has a better ride but you can tell the tires are smaller over really rough terrain. The Touring is more nimble and the waterproofing is nice. I liked the Zero 8 better than the Zero 9 and I like this better than the Zero 8.
Electron Surfer wow zero 8 over 9? Even with the solid rear tire? Why the zero 8 over 9?
@@rberga1 I did a direct comparison video between them. I like the handling, quickness, and clean lines of the Zero 8 better. The extra brakes and comfort of the Zero 9 wasn't enough to make it a more desirable scooter for me. That choice was more personal preference really, some people thought I was nuts for liking the 8 better.
Electron Surfer thanks for taking the time to respond!
Please review the nanrobot X4
Great videos by the way:)
@birddog, I'll look into that beast of a scooter. Thanks for watching.
This looks like another Zero 8
Are you serious..? Our first EMOVE Touring was introduced since 2017, Peter!
@Peter L, there are some similarities for sure. I think the Emove is more comfortable with similar performance (I'll be testing this today). The extra suspension and the way the rear tire matches up to the front is nice. I'll be testing acceleration and braking today.
This is in the same league as my zero 8 ,but adds a bit more suspension while lacking the red accents of the z8. Overall a good value for what you get. Jim,another fine review! Thanks.
@@howardfowler2255 Thanks Howard. The suspension is really impressive to a point where it is difficult to translate on a video. Cheers!
How strong are the brakes?
