As his family and friends wait and wonder, Goku and the powerful Saiyan face off in a destructive battle. Both warriors seem evenly matched, but both are hiding their true strength. Will Goku's hidden abilities be enough to put an end to this once and for all?

When we last saw Launch with Tien, their interaction seemed like they were on the rocks. My headcannon has been that Tien and Launch "broke up," prior to him going to train at Kami's Lookout. (Blonde) Launch likely saw both Tien and Chiaotzu die, so she's drinking. I imagine that she might be reliving some trauma from the King Piccolo saga, when nearly everyone died. I think the final cameo of Launch happens in one of the final episodes of DBZ, she contributes to a Spirit Bomb, but she's in her blue/black hair form and driving a truck.
I think that the fight for Goku vs Vegeta, is peak DBZ. I spent so much of my childhood making powerlevel guides on crappy websites like Angelfire and Geocities. The Kaioken technique as I understand it is kind of like a multiplier... Goku has a base power level of 8,000-9,000, basic Kaioken is like a 1.5X multiplier so he goes to 12,000 - 13,500.
Kaioken X2 => 16,000 - 18,000
Kaioken X3 => 24,000 - 27,000
Kaioken X4 => 32,000 - 36,000
It is stated later on that Vegeta had a powerlevel around 18,000 when he went to earth, but he matches the Kaioken X3 in one of the most epic beam struggles in all of Dragonball (in a few episodes).

Poor Launch 😮‍💨
Vegeta definitely feels like a story vehicle to constantly push Goku to the next level 🙌 he was clearly a lot to handle in that first encounter.
