      Aww, thank you Monique. That's how I feel when I watch your miniature/doll house videos. I don't do that, but boy do you make me want to! lol :-)

    Beautiful entry from Christa, she is such a versatile crafter. I love your slowstitch piece. Its so funny, i actually used the weaveving technique on my twincie piece.lol Maybe the word challenge was used because some people never made the required piece before. Tfs Hugs xxx Sonja

      Sonja, Jeannie Dreemer just told me that's where the word "challenge" came from. I feel so dumb! lol Of course, that makes perfect sense. Tfw! xoxo

    I think the word “challenge” is the action the one person suggests so that others join in to form a group effort of some kind. Each of us decides whether to accept the challenge or not, and then follows the rules according to the instructions. I like the word, and when life gets mundane, there’s nothing like a challenge to make it more interesting. 😊❤️

      Lol. I've had about 4 people tell me that's where the word challenge came from. I feel so dumb!!! tfw. xo

      @@sparrowhawkerdesigns oh, no, you’re not dumb!! Not at all! Words are not always easy to define and certainly there are many I cannot easily define!

    I like the word challenge better than project... project seems like work!!!

    • @sparrowhawkerdesigns
      @sparrowhawkerdesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL. That's true. I've had several people explain how the word challenge got started. Some people who'd asked me about it were thinking it was like a competition, that's why I thought the word wasn't the best choice, but now that it was explained to me, it definitely makes much more sense. :-) xo

    Beautiful entry from Christa!
    Your blocks are amazing! Slow stitching is intriguing to me. I love the crazy quilt aspect of quilting. Maybe someday!
    I need to check out your slow stitching series. It's relaxing to watch.🥰

      Thank you so much! It's weird, because I keep putting off doing embroidery videos, where I just stitch and talk, but the other day I was watching one of mine for some reason (probably forgot something that I said) and I was like, this is rather hypnotic. :-) LOL. Hope you're having a lovely January so far. Take care. xo

    I love that dressing up of stitches and did try that once long ago,it was really time consuming, lol but did look amazing! To answer your question about where “challenge” came from, I’m only on 3 years but my understanding was it meant to challenge you to make whatever the person having it asks for. Most of the time , it was something I never did so it was a challenge to see if I could do it. That’s how I took it anyway, but it may not be correct. I’m always making mistakes, haha so just my thought! Looks great that you did that around heart! Tyfs🤗xx

      Oh that explanation makes so much sense!!! Doh. Lol. I never thought of that!! Well, now I know and now I can tell people when they ask! Thank you so much, Jeannie. I'm slow on the uptake sometimes. :-) :-) Take care! Xoxo

    Love the new little entry from Christa. Your blocks are so pretty. I have some fabric scraps from my grandmother. I’m not a quilter but will hopefully use them in some way.

      Thank you, I reall loved the entry. Oh, I hope you find the perfect thing to use your grandmother's fabric in! It doesn't have to be a big ol' quilt. Thank you for watching. Take care! xo
