So I am currently in Tampa for work, luckily enough I don't work weekends so was able to rent a bike on riders share with my amigo Shane and explore a little. I hope you like it, not as easy to chat as normal as I was watching traffic like a hawk :P

I've been watching your channel for a couple months, now, since I'm also a Super Magna rider. And yet, somehow, I completely missed this video. I grew up just up the road from Howard Park and spent many, many, MANY happy hours on those sands in my youth. Super excited to see someone I follow from another country discover a gem that means so much to me. Love your channel, brother. Best of luck with the relocation and a warm welcome to the USA!

Very nice like em both , the thing that I notice with the US is the space everywhere even the houses seem to be big and spacious . I would love to ride there but I doubt I ever will .Enjoy and shout out to Shane 😊👍

Ah the camera will rise from the ashes!! Just the lens protector is all that got dead. Haha more sun than I've seen in ever I think :D Very glad to get out on them for a day tbh, I nearly went insane in North Carolina last year. Me+no bikes is a recipe for an unhappy Michael.

All the stop signs in the USA…now imagine if we had more roundabouts/traffic circles and people actually understood yield signs. Too many in this country treat yield signs as "not stop" and just blow through them, just like stop signs. Glad to see you had a good time!
You'd get around so much faster!! Yield is the way forward if people bloody used the things properly! Like all those stop signs would be terrible for fuel economy if I actually obeyed them, that's my excuse!!

You should see this intersection by my house, so many people don't know how to Yield or who has the right of way. Humans are just generally dumb.
Humans are worryingly silly sometimes. I do hope a lot of those one elect to buy self driving cars tho and leave the roads to those of us who enjoy them :D
What an awesome place to get to ride, staying out of the water will save you from the sharks, but not the gators 😁👍 I haven't watched Shadetree for years, will have to check out what he's been up too soon. Enjoy the working holiday you lucky Irish dude 😎
It is indeed! Haha the gators are friendly or so I'm told :P Nah I actually just am not really a beach goer. Always seems like more hassle than it's worth to try de sand myself :P

Haha sadly that was the totality of my days off. All gone now, 7.40 here and I'll be back to work soon.
@@TheGorillaBiker Well gators seem to always smile lol. I never go to the beach either, no reason for it though, just something I have never done since a little kid. I'm certainly going to check out shadetree again, always did come across as a good bloke, a bonus that you got to meet him. Hope you get to enjoy the evenings you have left at least.
Haha happiest feckers around so they are :D I would be too with a set of chompers like they have! Yeah the beach is grand, and I'd occasionally go, the missus loves it in fairness. I'd never even think to go to one otherwise. He does indeed and seems to be in real life too :) Ah they're just pretty much dinner, chat, bed. You know yourself. Pity but sure that's life and I am here primarily to work sadly :D

@@TheGorillaBiker I have mental images of a monkey body and head but crab arms and legs, it has eye stalks and those weird mandible mouth things crabs have, it lives by the coast line and spends 12 hours in the sea and the other 13 hours climbing trees, this is when it's at its most dangerous as its eye sight isn't good and it thinks passing human heads are coconuts, (one of its sources of food) they don't make very good pets...

It was a great day. It's not no sadly, it's also not for sale new anymore full stop I believe, a pity really!! Yamaha seem to have cut back their cruiser offerings massively.

I've been to the USA many times, but always on four wheels. I've never felt I wanted to ride there. The roads don't really appeal that much. The weather is often just too extreme, hot and cold, and I most definitely don't like too much sun. Give me air con, cruise control and PCH1 from LA up to Frisco I'm happy. Glad you got a ride this time 😎
Haha honestly I never have any great desire to anywhere in a car. I don't know why, it's just.....I dunno it never appeals to me really. You miss the experience and the panoramic view with no pillars etc in your way. I could just be insane, and you the completely sane one :D

There’s no reason why you wouldn’t like all bikes, as to be fair, there’s no bad bikes any more. I’d maybe go with the Harley, then not cuz I’ve never rode one.
Very true, or extremely few anyway. There were things I didn't like about the softail slim but I'll talk about those later, which a lot of them were caused by the owner imo.
Yeah that's why I rented a Harley first, had to try one :D
I own the 2011 Yamaha Stryker and it's the best bike I've ever owned, cruiser or not. My buddy rides a new Harley that's supposed to be one of the "good ones" and it's always breaking down with ignition problems, gearing, etc. POS. Harley does marketing like nobody else, otherwise they suck. I'll ALWAYS ride my metric cruisers like Yamaha Stryker and Kawasaki Vulcan.
Even good bikes can have lemons to be fair, I know a lot of people who have crazy miles on their Harleys so they certainly can be an excellent bike! I'd probably go for a metric first myself too tho :)

Stryker all day. I rode a 1200 Sportster once and I crashed it. I disliked it before I crashed it though. It was slow, rattly and I don’t like how it looks.
And as you know, I like me a stupid Japanese cruiser.
That'd certainly poison ones memory. I sat on his bike for about 30 seconds and it would have crippled my hips in no time with the sitting position. It was very rattly. I do love the sound of a Harley tho. Beautiful engines. I might own one in future....but I'll prob keep getting Japanese silliness machines :)

Poor camera. I wouldn't survive on my trips without google maps. Lots of tolls all over the east coast. Welcome to Stop signs. Florida is cool, for a flat state I dig it. I want to ride down to the keys one day. Dude I wouldn't swim either, Florida has sharks that go up stream now and can survive in fresh water, Tiger sharks I think, nasty fuckers.
Ah it'll be sorted soon, took off the lens cover and it's still working fine so all is good :) Me neither man, I like using a map sometimes but Google is just so handy, then you have your trip in timelines too!
Man the tolls are crazy, and they have little toll traps too! Stop signs are fine really, but like you should be able to gently roll through them imo if theres clear line of sight!
