But then when it comes time to actually read them, my heart wants what it wants! Ohhhh, I have Emily Wilde on my TBR as well. And I so agree about the mood reading. Forcing yourself to read something your mind picked out for you without consulting the rest of you and where you're at this month is the perfect recipe for burnout. 😩 Also, where/how did you find your writing group? I'd love to join one in my area as well, but haven't come across anything yet on my last Google hunt.
