That ejection pattern is terrible. 704 tactical had the same issues with that as well as cycling. This is crazy. I got mine in and plan to test it out this week. Hoping it turns out better than this, but right now I'm doubtful
You are correct on the light recoil spring …. However that’s basically a bandaid masking other issues. Clearly that slide isn’t getting the velocity it needs rearward to clear the magazine case feed. And it’s a lighter slide. Absolutely a lighter recoil spring will help. But I suspect this just needs the rails polished (on the slide). Or run it more. 250 rounds of nato. Problem is. For a “premium” line. Shouldn’t have to do that. That’s the kinda crap you do with eBay $70 slides.
I think the whole line is a lemon . I love psa but imo they should concentrate on a few new designs and not spread out so thin . At this price point why not just go with a 19x ?
The features justify the price point. I’ve seen multiple reviews talk about “jams.” I guess guns are like vehicles. Avoid the first roll out. Great looking gun. I love my compact dagger. PSA will figure it out and while I’ve never used them I’ve read that their customer service is usually quick to make things right.
Now that I've watched the whole video, I'm wondering if it needs a light recoil spring? That may help both the cycling and ejection pattern issues. Going to order one and see about it
Shot 266 rounds out of mine with ZERO malfunctions. Maybe i just got lucky.. but i did clean it vigorously, polished the feed ramp and oiled correctly. Hopefully PSA figures out why so many of you guys are having issues.
Not sure what led me to believe this but I thought the Sabre line was going to be all metal. Oh well, a cerakote and kinda cool mill doesn't justify the additional $300, especially if it don't run 😅
This video only strengthens my disinterest on the Sabre Dagger. Ever since I heard about it, Ive been “meh whatever” about it. If any I would just love to try the sabre dagger trigger on a standard dagger. But thats about it… good video.
Shot my Sabre today for the first time. Had issues w/ failure to eject. About three malfunctions out of a 100 rounds. Not nearly as bad as your problems. But ultimately it seems everyone is having issues w/ the Sabre pistols. I love PSA but this is going back to them.
Not Sure If I've just gotten lucky so far, but got my Sabre Dagger a week or two ago and have right at 300 rounds through it with no issues. Equal amounts of magtech, blazer, and AAC. I also have a compact dagger I've had for a couple of years with very few issues. Not my EDC but with the comp and timney trigger, it is one of my easiest to shoot and most accurate handguns. I have a micro C-1 slide on a glock 43x frame with glock internals and thats the only one that has caused me some issues. A few light strikes and lots of failure to extract, etc. I just made some changes (trigger, springs, etc) and have just begun running it through its paces, we will see.
Good review. Sorry you are having trouble with the Sabre Dagger. Respect for not losing your temper when it was malfunctioning constantly. I like PSA but, i have had issues with a few products they manufactured in the last couple of years. I will say that PSA sorted me out so i have faith they will sort you as well and make things right. Respectfully when you habe a double feed there are a couple ways to ckear it. First way is lock the slide back, rip the magazine outand then rack it a few times. Easier way is to depress the magazine release hold it down and rack the slide a few times, typically the magazine will drop and the round in the chamber gets racked out. Hppe this helps. Cheers.
Seems it was a barrel issue there’s a different spiral fluted in the newest version not the flat fluted like the original release-Not saying the flute have anything to do with it just saying it a different barrel!
Good luck with the customer service, i hear about the great warranty but my customer service rep only emailed me once a week and it took 5 weeks to get a return RMA for my slide on a second 5.7 rock.
Good luck getting them to fix it. I had to go through a full month of emails before I could send my ak to them to fix. After getting it back it had the same feeding issues. Sent it back a second time and the same thing happened. I also figured lemon but after buying an ar and having the gas block walk off and another month of emails to get it fixed I’m done with that company!
Not sure what specifically they did to make their reliable glock clone dagger line so unreliable. It's definitely not just a handful as I've seen multiple people on YT, Reddit, and FB say the same thing. And heaven help you if you try to run the thing suppressed. They should just issue a recall of all of them because I'm sure their customer service team has to be swamped right now
Is it me or is it a common theme in every gun video on You Tube? Every channel, every gun , every accessory all compares to a Glock? Why buy a weapon like this when you can buy a Glock? I would assume a price difference BUT I would rather save up and never deal with these problems… just my opinion..
I had the same issue with my dagger. I really pissed me off at first but i keep putting rounds through and it worked it self out. I also racked the slide alot and added plenty of oil. I think the magazines are a issue as well
I just got back from the range with mine. I ended up shooting a total of maybe under 500 rounds. I had one failure to extract. I also shot 6 mags suppressed and didn't have any issues with that. But I did notice the ejection pattern was all over the place though so that did throw me for a loop.
Unfortunately, I've only seen bad reviews of this platform... and it seems like everyone has been having the same problems. If I were to get this, I would probably swap out all the internals for OEM glock parts.
They're all lemons bro. I was all for psa but the dagger line is falling apart. Nothi g but issues. I love shooting my dagger but after 3 broken striker assemblys in 4500 rounds is no good.
Very neat looking gun. Sad it’s defected. Hopefully they’ll get it running well for you! The rest of it looks good. You said you were running blazer, is that your go too cheap plinking 9mm? When I shot blazer it was fine but I’m trying to run all the brands through my canik to see if anything will shoot poorly. Spoilers nothing is 😂 anyway at some point I need to pick one to continue to buy
@TheArmedScotsman with "their" stuff. (Things they make or produce) I've now had more returns than keeps. Rusted jalk, 3 colored "premium" upper, maxed out windage front post site, broken Iron sites on a GF AK, extractor failure dagger, BCG grenade at 2k rounds (1.8k), wrong ammo order. I still love their deals and purchase from them....but it's 50/50 with the QC. I have no problem buying non PSA stuff from them.
A lot of the problems that I see happening with this gun could be because of finish slight problem in spec and internals as well as the mags I would use glock mags.
It may have something to do with it but BOTH Magpul and Glock OEM mags had issues. So I think it has something else going on. Well see once we get it back.
If changing the ejector, extractor with a stock Glock spring, and recoil spring doesn’t fix it then it’s something with the barrel lockup and slide. Either way they shouldn’t try to invent the wheel it’s a Glock clone. Glocks are simple. It shouldn’t be rocket science for PSA to put out a reliable model. I’d want a straight up refund.
I came to the conclusion that daggers are trash…. They were really hyped one they came out because of the price point. But man in the last 4 months I’ve gotten a micro dagger and full size dagger and they both have had dead triggers before 50 rounds. Just terrible. The Sabre is definitely not worth what they are asking for at all.
Get the PSA Sabre Dagger or learn more here: alnk.to/gKQ00fg
124gr ammo??
I think PSA needs to make their own proprietary mag. The pmags aren’t cutting it…

Cant wait for your review.
@@DesertTactical I have a feeling it needs a light recoil spring to alleviate the issues. We'll see

Not sure what led me to believe this but I thought the Sabre line was going to be all metal. Oh well, a cerakote and kinda cool mill doesn't justify the additional $300, especially if it don't run 😅

It needs a different ejector and extractor with upgraded spring. That should clean it up.
Its worth 399 tops
We all got lemons. They screwed up this rele😢
Knew this was gonna happen why I said I’m gonna wait and not buy one yet
Not buying one at all. Not worth the price point. At least not until they bring it down a couple hunnit.
@@DesertTactical what are they currently going for? I've only seen that they're out of stock

@bdbeats7209 about $600. I think they're aren't restoking yet due to all the issues, would be my guess?
