I grew up in a Filipino-Chinese neighborhood in the middle of Manila and every New Year's Eve it was like we were in a middle of a warzone!!! It was sooooo loud, you can't hear each other because of all the fireworks and firecrackers. We have to let all our pet dogs indoors because they get so scared. I miss celebrating NYE in the PH though as it's boring af here in Germany and there are only designated areas for fireworks display - and it only lasts for 30mins max!
