I have a question, what can you answer when you're I have a question, what can you answer when you're asked why you want to go to a Community College when you already have a Bachelor's Degree and already working in a different field from what you intend to study at the community college? why you want to go to a Community College when you already have a Bachelor's Degree and already working in a different field from what you intend to study at the community college?
I overheard someone else answer this quiz in a different video..he said dont mention things to do with little funding.. Say something sensable like its offering these English classes before the main program
Hi Amara, I hope you're well. So I applied for an undergrad program to Wisconsin University, I didn't get the admission based on academic factors according to them but then they offered me an admission to their smaller branch school, Wisconsin University - Barron cou nty. (Not sure if that's a pre degree program yet, waiting to get my letter and form 1-20 from DHL in a couple days) but my question is when asked how many schools i applied to, should I tell them I applied to the main uni and then they denied and transferred me or I just say I applied to the Barron county uni straight up? Just tell me what you think in general. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi. I just looked up the school and I don’t think there’s a need to mention that you got denied and transferred to the smaller branch. Just say you applied to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Be sure to specify Eau Claire because there is at least one other University of Wisconsin (the one in Madison) and those are two different schools. However, check your I-20 when it arrives to be sure of the name of the school written on it. Long story short, say you applied to ‘name of whatever school written on your I-20’
Hi Amara, I have one more question pls. So as it is now I have my Aunt as my sponsor on my I-20 form, she's Igbo and I'm Yoruba you don't think that's gonna be a big deal yeah? And secondly I'm thinking of having my mom as my second sponsor as well but I only have my aunt as my sponsor on my I-20. You think I should put my mom down as sponsor on my DS160, that way I'd have both of them sponsoring me or what do you think?
@@oluwaseguna8922 for your first question, nope this wouldn’t be a problem. Nobody really is looking into tribal differences. You should just be ready to prove in whatever way you can that she’s really your aunty. For the second question, yes having your mum as a sponsor is also good but I think it really only helps your case if she has a very good source of income. Also, if you decide to add her on your DS-160, you need to get an updated I-20 that reflects her as one of your sponsors too. Your DS-160 and I-20 need to correspond.
Hello Miss Amarachi I am finding it difficult to print my Ds 160 application, I don't know how you might be of help to me, the only stuff I can print out is the confirmation, I clicked on print applications is not going, please kindly help
Hi. I don't know if you can print the actual application after you've submitted. I believe I was only able to save the different pages of my application before hitting submit.

Hi.. 1)I didn’t know about the 60days rule for the emergency appointment and I already applied and it was approved on the 30 of may and my program is starting August, hope it doesn’t matter.. 2) I applied to only one school cause it was recommended to me by an alumni of the school, does it matter[applying only to one school]? 3) I’m already schooling here, would it be a problem? 4) The course I’m studying here isn’t what I’m planning to study outside as the course I’m studying here isn’t my course of choice, would it pose a problem?
1. If the request got approved, I don't think it matters now. Just go for the interview. 2. Yes it matters that you applied to one school. It's not a good look for you. I suggest that you find 2 to 3 other schools which you can say you also applied to. It might also be a good idea to find schools that have something in common with the one school that you'll be attending. 3. If you're already schooling here, then you likely will run into some problems. You need to have a good explanation for why you want to abandon your current program for something else in the US. 4. Refer to 3 above.
SEVIS fee is a $350 fee that every international student and exchange visitor in the US has to pay. The receipt from that payment is what I was talking about.
Hey, I failed my F1 visa interview last month on 14th June… I was asked like 10 questions some short some long and I answered all honestly and well.. but I’m a stammerer and ofc i stammered during the interview so i have an interview coming up and i plan on staying this now will this help or make it worse??
Sorry about the last experience. I always advice people who stammer to say it first before the interview starts so the visa officer knows and is more patient with you
Secondly, can your DS 160 be rearranged like for example if your appointment is on Monday n presently its Friday can you change it then send to the embassy
Hi. I’m not sure when slots become available for those who have been previously denied, you just have to keep checking. Also, I doubt you’ll get asked why your application was denied in the past. What you’re more likely to get asked is what has changed since your last denial and you should be prepared for that.
It’s the confirmation you get after scheduling an interview. They’ll check it before allowing you in to ensure you actually have an appointment for the day.
@@estherlogose1933 that’s a tough one. All I can say is you need to talk about what you’ve been doing since 2014. Work? Acquiring vocational skills? Also, be ready to explain why it’s now at this point that you decided to go for your undergrad. You must have a convincing reason for this. I don’t know your personal situation so I can’t help with a more specific response. You’ll have to figure this out for/by yourself. Good luck.

Hi. The name of the hotel is Benigold. I don’t remember how much it cost. You can probably look online or call them to find out what the rates are. Good luck with your interview!
Please I applied for the F1 visa appointment interview and the earliest date I saw was in 2024 whiles my program start date is in 2023 but I chose it anyways and intended applying for an expedite appointment. 1. Please do you think I should have waited until I saw a date that is earlier date? cos the dates kept changing. 2. Can I reschedule the appointment and how many times? Cos I read the number of times to reschedule is limited. 3. I read that one can apply for an expedite appointment only 60 days to the start of the program. Please do you think I should apply for the expedited appointment now or wait? Please help me with your responses and suggestions. Humbly waiting for your responses. Thank you.
Hi. No, you shouldn't have waited. What you did was okay because you can always reschedule when a closer date becomes available and if that doesn't happen before it's almost time for your program to start, you can request an emergency appointment. I believe the limit for rescheduling is 3 times and if your program start date is not 60 days away then you cannot apply for the emergency appointment.

Hi. Please am going for an interview very soon. If the visa officer asks me a question, after answering the question and I have a document to back it up should I give him/ her or only on request
I’ve heard mixed reviews on this but I lean more strongly towards the idea that if they need anything, they’ll ask. So, personally I wouldn’t offer any documents unless asked. But do whatever you feel comfortable with anyway.
Hello! my interview is July on the 1st, and I will be studying masters in Business Administration and Management and the university offer me a Graduate assistantship , should I summit this document to the embassy or I remove it from my filed. thank you.
I really don’t know about this because it depends on the context. I’d say, don’t mention anything about it if you’re not asked. Also, I suppose the assumption is that people apply for their visa in their country of residence so if this isn’t the case, it might be a red flag to the visa officer. So, if you’re not asked, it’s probably best not to mention it.
If you are on a scholarship then of course. If I remember correctly there's a section for filing that in your application form. So, if you fill this in, they'll already have the information. Of course go with documents backing up your claim.
I don't remember when exactly I booked my interview but it was sometime either at the end of April or beginning of May. I'm not sure what you mean by how long it took but if you mean if it was easy to find a date, then for me, yes it was. Once I got a suitable date, I booked it immediately.
Hi. Please advice me on the following (my visa interview is tomorrow): What if I have applied to olny one school (for MBA) and got accepted. Will it hurt my interview results if ? Or should I say that I have applied to one more university and got admitted (can they verify it?) ????? Please respond me asap
It’s best to say that you applied to other universities too. I suggest saying 3 instead of 2 and of course find the name of 2 schools in addition to the school you actually applied to. Good luck
Thanks a lot for quick response. So they cannot find out anyway if it happened or not huh? Is there a possibility that they will launch an administrative procedure and require me to bring the acceptance letters or something? Are there any possible problems that could happen ?
I am a student, graduated out of secondary school last year with a good results. I want to further my education in the "University of Leeds" agricultural science to be presice..... please how to do I go about it?
Hi. I don’t know much about the UK application and admission process. I suggest you find other people here who specialize on these topics. They will likely have more accurate and relevant information for you.
Hi. Kinda because it's generally advised to apply to more than one school. What you can do though is learn about 2 or 3 additional schools so you can talk about them as schools you applied to. This should work because there's no way for the visa officer to know how many/what schools you applied to.
America is a country of people who came from different cultural backgrounds. Note that, you may meet black, Chinese, Japanese or white. Just know and note that, they are Americans.
Hello Amarachi, I applied for two schools and was given admission by one. The thing is one is in Ohio and the other in Pennsylvania, my course of study is project management. Now if I’m asked why I choose to apply to both schools, what will my answer be, how do I answer ?
You can talk about what both schools have in common except the fact that they offer your course of study. Are they both mid sized schools? Is there a low professor to student ratio? Is your course of study highly ranked in both schools? Things like these are generally good talking points.
I applied for only a school and I was given admission from that school if I am asked how may school and why the school, should i just tell them I applied to just a school
Hi Amara how are you doing. Please I have some important questions, after watching this video, I am applying for college after years from high school I do have reasons for it, I want to know what can I fill as employment in my ds160 form ? And also I’m enrolled in a bsc program here, should I mention that?
Hi Jessica. I think what you fill for employment depends on what you’ve been doing so far. Have you been working ? If yes, fill that in (especially if it’s something related to what you’ll be studying for your BSc) I think it might be in your best interest not to mention that you’re currently enrolled in another program. However, be prepared to answer the questions “what have you been doing since graduating high school and why do you now want to go to college after all this time” Good luck!

@@iamlaurame374 Like I said earlier, I highly doubt that they'd ask this. I have a video that goes over commonly asked interview questions and their answers. Check it out if you haven't. However, in the very unlikely case that you get asked about this, you could just say something along the lines of "while homesickness is inevitable, I have a strong sense of independence and I know I'll be fine." Hi I have the same situation did you manage to get approved?
Hi. Thinks for it
I have a question, what can you answer when you're I have a question, what can you answer when you're asked why you want to go to a Community College when you already have a Bachelor's Degree and already working in a different field from what you intend to study at the community college? why you want to go to a Community College when you already have a Bachelor's Degree and already working in a different field from what you intend to study at the community college?
I overheard someone else answer this quiz in a different video..he said dont mention things to do with little funding..
Say something sensable like its offering these English classes before the main program
Please, what colour should I print my DS-160 confirmation page?
I think black and white is fine if you can’t print in colour. The important thing is to be sure the barcode is very clear. Don’t fold over it.
Hi dear thanks for the video.... When do you start applying for visa interview is it when My i-20 arrives
Hi. Yes that’s right. You need details from your I-20 to fill the DS160 application form.
Hello amarach how are you doing…I we like you to put me into something please my interview is next month I just need a question about that
I got my visa last month.....if you have any question let me know
Plz boss ... What questions where u asked ...nd what's ur coarse ?
Long story short, say you applied to ‘name of whatever school written on your I-20’
@@AmaraOsuji Very helpful. Thank you
Hi Amara, I have one more question pls.
@@AmaraOsuji Got it. And I'm guessing for the school to send an updated form i-20, they will ask to see the second sponsor's account statement as well
My interview is tomorrow 24th may 2024. Hoping for the best

Hello Miss Amarachi I am finding it difficult to print my Ds 160 application, I don't know how you might be of help to me, the only stuff I can print out is the confirmation, I clicked on print applications is not going, please kindly help

Pls, Amarachi, do you have any ideal of the questions they might likely ask? Am going with my kids.
Hi. I have a video that goes over the commonly asked questions. You can watch it here th-cam.com/video/UTsL4gqTxE4/w-d-xo.html
I don’t think the questions are going to be particularly different because you’re going with your kids.

That isn’t a requirement

@@AmaraOsuji thank you so much ❤️
3:13 You said something about Service fee receipt and Visa fee receipt. What is the difference?
SEVIS fee is a $350 fee that every international student and exchange visitor in the US has to pay. The receipt from that payment is what I was talking about.
Hey, I failed my F1 visa interview last month on 14th June… I was asked like 10 questions some short some long and I answered all honestly and well.. but I’m a stammerer and ofc i stammered during the interview so i have an interview coming up and i plan on staying this now will this help or make it worse??
Sorry about the last experience. I always advice people who stammer to say it first before the interview starts so the visa officer knows and is more patient with you
Hi please I want to know whether the visa gets approved on the spot? Your video is amazing btw ❤
Hi. Yes it’s on the spot. If they hand you a white paper and keep your passport then the visa is approved 😊
Your DS 160 form or your confirmation page Which one
?? I stated which one it was clearly and also included it in the list of documents at the end of the video so I don’t understand this question.
Secondly, can your DS 160 be rearranged like for example if your appointment is on Monday n presently its Friday can you change it then send to the embassy
No. You should submit your DS160 at least 72 hours before your interview date.
Hi amara , i would like to when the slots will open for refused candidates , how to answer of they ask why your visa has been refused. Pls suggest
Hi. I’m not sure when slots become available for those who have been previously denied, you just have to keep checking. Also, I doubt you’ll get asked why your application was denied in the past. What you’re more likely to get asked is what has changed since your last denial and you should be prepared for that.
Appointment letter from the school? Or Acceptance letter?
In the list of documents to carry along you spoke of Appointment letter. Please what is that? Could you please clarify?🙏
It’s the confirmation you get after scheduling an interview. They’ll check it before allowing you in to ensure you actually have an appointment for the day.
@@AmaraOsuji thank you so much🙏
Having problem in speaking English in the student visa interview will cause rejection?
I don’t know for sure.
I have a big gap between my education so how best can I defend myself please

Can you book appointment date before filling ur ds160. Is it possible
Yes you can.. you need your visa fee for appointment
Can one mention that he live and work abroad in different country during f1 Visa interview?
I really don’t know about this because it depends on the context. I’d say, don’t mention anything about it if you’re not asked. Also, I suppose the assumption is that people apply for their visa in their country of residence so if this isn’t the case, it might be a red flag to the visa officer. So, if you’re not asked, it’s probably best not to mention it.
Hi Amara, can we tell them we are on scholarship if they ask for sponsorship
If you are on a scholarship then of course. If I remember correctly there's a section for filing that in your application form. So, if you fill this in, they'll already have the information. Of course go with documents backing up your claim.
Please I would love to ask ,when and how long did it take you to book and get a visa interview slot
I don't remember when exactly I booked my interview but it was sometime either at the end of April or beginning of May.
I'm not sure what you mean by how long it took but if you mean if it was easy to find a date, then for me, yes it was. Once I got a suitable date, I booked it immediately.

Pls if I applied to only one school, Should I be concerned?
Hi. Kinda because it's generally advised to apply to more than one school. What you can do though is learn about 2 or 3 additional schools so you can talk about them as schools you applied to. This should work because there's no way for the visa officer to know how many/what schools you applied to.
Hi Amara, thanks for this video. I sent you a mail.

And also I’m enrolled in a bsc program here, should I mention that?
Hi Jessica. I think what you fill for employment depends on what you’ve been doing so far. Have you been working ? If yes, fill that in (especially if it’s something related to what you’ll be studying for your BSc)
I think it might be in your best interest not to mention that you’re currently enrolled in another program. However, be prepared to answer the questions “what have you been doing since graduating high school and why do you now want to go to college after all this time”
