I visited a fairly new nearby B&M pipe shop last weekend for the first time. I was kind of looking for a bent bulldog. The Rossi 8316 called my name. It and a couple of ounces of tobacco came home with me. I finally found the time to smoke it yesterday. Very nice pipe. and I love the shape.
I've smoked pipes since 1969 when I was 17 yr. old. My favorite is pipes with vulcanite bits. So they oxidizes, no big deal! Clean them from time to time. They are WAY more comfortable and easier to grip with your teeth. Lucite slides around and is harder to hold onto. Can't so about acrylic, as I have none. 👍🤔
Eddie, I just ordered 2 of these new pipes the 8321 and the 8622. I smoke only unfiltered but all the Rossi pipes smoke great without the filter😃. I’ve got some higher end pipes and the Rossi’s smoke just as well, I’m some cases even better. Highly recommended.
Just ordered the 8642 from The Pipe Nook! Been smoking a pipe for only a few months now. I have a few MM cobs and hardwoods but this will be my first briar pipe. Looking forward to this being the first of many in my, currently very small, collection. Thanks for all the informative content, Eddie!
What did you decide to add to your collection? 8321 or 8316??? I own a Sera 8316 which in my opinion will out smoke any 8321 because the bowl is bigger than a 8321. I really enjoy your videos on any subject! Wishing you the best always….😎
They just use slightly lesser grades of briar than Savinelli pipes, and generally have less expensive bands, etc. I don't know this for certain, but Rossi pipes are most likely made by Savinelli's lesser experienced pipe makers, although quality control is still the same, from what I see of the Rossi pipes I receive.
Cool buddy I would say they look cheap because they are cheap but I would say they're high value overall I just think they look a hell of a lot like black lacquer paint
I have a few Rossi 8101's in stock at the moment. I tend to hide them on the site if I'm sold out, until I get them back in. As of this writing, I have an 8101 in the Mezzanotte, Notte, and Sitting lines.
I have 2 Rossi pipes in my daily smokers. Absolutely love them, true work horse freight trains 🚂

I agree with you on the acrylic / vulcanite. I hate how the vulcanite's constantly oxidize. $58 is a great price !!

They smoke very well, and I think they look great, but black is my favorite color. :)
