I think the Cypriot uses more pine in the fumigation and I like that a lot, but I think the Turkish produces a better balance. Keep making the videos, I just subscribed. Many of the others aren’t as thoughtful as yours. BTW, I have spoken to the people at G&H and asked them to come up with a 2024 Halloween blend and they actually answered me and said they will seriously consider it - Let’s see.

Some time ago I checked out Wikipedia for some knowledge…what an interesting process to make Latakia ready for use from choice of tobacco seed to choice of wood(s) for fumigation and then on to the fermentation process…it’s quite interesting. Thanks again for the comparisons here…I’m ready to try the newer C&D ‘From Beyond’ 👍😀
Very nice comparison. I'm not really big on latakia as it is, but I have found myself enjoying a more subtle blended type of latakia. Maybe the Turkish is something I would enjoy. Also, it was good to see a Pipenook video come up. I have enjoyed your videos and along with others, has inspired me to do some of my own on this thing we call the ytpc. I have found it can be easy to put off videos for a while and time sure passes fast. Some people get out of it and never come back. Good to see old friends now and then. Take care and happy smokes.

As far as the different latakias, is it just that now there is latakia being grown in Turkey? There is no shortage as with Syrian? BTW, the beard is looking good. I believe Syria halted the production of smoked Latakia leaf because the smoking process used a lot of oak(which has a softer smoke), in order to save the oak forests , long before the “civil war” started.

I would imagine they would on infrastructure alone. It's nice to have options though, I hope the Cyprus farmers continue.
