My son once painted part of the neighbors siding with red spray paint because he thought it wasn't pretty the way it was. You never can underestimate the quickness of those little hands. And what a huge project you have! So overwhelming! And yet you still come to us with that beautiful smile always in place to brighten our days! Our youngest daughter colored on and painted EVERYTHING when she was barely old enough to hold a crayon, the world was her canvas! She is an amazing artist at 22, so you may just have a budding Picasso in Wryn. I love watching all that you do, you are such an inspiration to so many. I can't wait to see how all of the renovations turn out.

Julie, I feel for you. 8 years ago we moved into a home built in 1990. It had yellowed shellac oak woodwork through out. I did everything you are doing but I was 60+ years old & no kids underfoot. Love the boys' room and the new closets. We have our son in a similar room and also built him a new closet. A sliding barn door is planned for saving space and we installed an led strip light overhead just inside. It's perfect for a closet, so bright and compact and not hot! Oh, sweet Wryn! Take a few photos when she's "helping" so you can look back at those moments and smile. It's so hard to paint with a little one at home, but you're making great progress!
The floors look terrific - great choice. Also wonderful job on that bedframe. Take things at the pace that suits you. You've got a massively full plate. We're along for all your new adventures. Enjoy the journey because we'll be enjoying it with you!

I am loving watching your progress and real life successes and struggles. It is easy to think that no one else struggles quite like we do but I know for certain that we all struggle with life and the curve balls continuously thrown our way! I am generally a happy wall color person but I have to say that your spaces just look so fresh and ‘freeing’ somehow! We rented for the first half of our 38 years together so by the time we bought a house I wanted some other color besides white or some peachy beige! After 23 years in this house though it is time to renovate and I may go the same color throughout. Maybe a warm greige color. Watching you is helping me so much.😁😘

Hang in there!! These transitions are sooooo much work, but you will get your home to where you want it! I have “been there” with kids and projects in the same house! It’s a challenge but it will be worth all the work in the end!

I am loving watching your progress and real life successes and struggles. It is easy to think that no one else struggles quite like we do but I know for certain that we all struggle with life and the curve balls continuously thrown our way! I am generally a happy wall color person but I have to say that your spaces just look so fresh and ‘freeing’ somehow! We rented for the first half of our 38 years together so by the time we bought a house I wanted some other color besides white or some peachy beige! After 23 years in this house though it is time to renovate and I may go the same color throughout. Maybe a warm greige color. Watching you is helping me so much.😁😘

I would have sat down in the middle of the floor and cried!! The bed turned out gorgeous!! And yes, Walmart paint is cheaper, but it is horrible on walls and trim and takes 2-3 times the paint to cover!!
