I always felt sad when I leave an estate sale. I thought it was just me. I’m glad you shared a picture of Wryn and the baby with the family you got it from. That was a very thoughtful thing to do.

My brother and I had an estate sale at our mothers this past weekend. Some of the items as they sold were so hard to see go. We had the sale like a garage sale rather than an auction. As I would walk around and move things as other things sold I would see something I really loved and would take and hide it under the table. My mom was 96 and her greatest joy in life was thrifting so lots of stuff to sell. There is still so much left so I am sure I will be taking more (even though I promised my kids I wouldn’t). Thank you for being so kind to the family and loving their mothers things. It means a lot to me. I hope some of my moms items will also be loved.

I agree with you Julie, an estate sale is filled with all the items that person cherished, and I think it was sweet of you to want to purchase those items and continue cherishing them. You have a tender heart🥰 Love your gift for creating new items out of old ones!

Hi Julie !! You scored some great things!! I love the chair idea..I agree...if you thrift your things and you find something that better suits later..flip the old stuff..lol.. I was thinking..if you don't find chairs right away..how about a bench? I use a bench when I have company and I have a long wall that I keep it on with a few decor items when I don't need it. Just a thought. Lol.. Oh by the way..you never talk too much...I love to hear about your tales of finding treasures..you are building memories along the way with your kind spirit..I too.. treasure old kitchen things..I always think of those who have used them too .sooo cool.. take care..thank you for being you!!

    Let's make this simple(ish)
    Things I like....LOVE!
*The picture of Wrynn and her babydoll.
*The direction of decorating you are going with y'alls new home.
*The way you have included your "youtube family" on your journey of making your new house, a home.
*The several times I laughed out loud during this video.
*The way you say Wednesday. It reminds me of my Uncle Brandon Benoit(born and raised in Louisiana)
*The way you continue to inspire and show me that I am actually creative too.
*The way that you have put together something, a project, a room, or whatever. My mom raised a houseful of daughters on a super tight budget but always had the most rustic/farmhouse and uniquely decorated home, according to our friends. It seems very similar to how you pull things together and it works and looks so good.
*The way that you give us ideas of how you might flip or refinish a thrifted piece.
*The energy that you put into everything that you post for us to see and hopefully learn how to recreate or maybe expand from your ideas.
*The amount of self-confidence that I have found within myself, just in these past 12 months, since I subscribed to your channel.....is indescribable!
*The way you make creativity open to whatever the person creating it, sees it as. Not everyone fits into "the cookie cutter" type of style and that's ok and the awesome part of being creative.
*The way you make it easy to watch with my children and teenagers in the same room with me. They laugh with me and they've even said, "We should try to make this or that too!" or "That's so cool, I never thought of that!" When they get excited, it's even more exciting for me, as their Mom, seeing them get inspired from something you've created, like you have inspired all of us in your "youtube family!!"
**Can we PLEASE just get a LOVE button?! I love watching and learning from the way you do things on your channel!!!! Lol. It's probably annoyingly obvious by now that my family and I, love everything that you put into making your channel what you have created it to be. LOVE IT!!!

Julie, I wish I could find a nut grinder. I love the chairs, although they are a pain to clean with all the spindles. Two wing chairs on the ends could match the two you want for the breakfast room table. Waiting to find them will allow Wryn to grow up a bit, less likely to soil with sticky hands. The top of your square basket is great for another basket on it's own or as a tray or picture frame. Great video, TFS.

Estate sales are like a time capsule for me. It's like you go back in time (I'm 66) and relive some of your growing-up years...and yes, I get a little misty-eyed. Some items just open up memories of my mama and for a moment I'm overcome with missing her. I love how you and many others in your "age bracket" value and love those old things that are so sentimental for me!

I know many have already answered but what a flashback! We used that nut grinder growing up to put peanuts on ice cream, I remembered my dad always doing that! How cool, I would never have remembered that otherwise! ❤️

Love those wood pieces u found . I would have been beside myself I'd I had found those especially since I live very close to there . They really look like vintage bottle moulds to me . Manufacturers started using moulds to help increase production vs glass blown . If that is what they are that is an amazing find . Yay !!

I have same grinder that was my Grandmother's. She was born in 1880, so I'm sure it's pretty old. I saw her chop pecans with it

For your chair that has the most damage on the seat you can take a tiny bit of paint thinner with fine steel wool and soften the edges of the chips to make it less rough. Then rinse and add your antique wax on it. I wonder if the wooden pieces that look like bottles were bouys at one point?

Miss Mustard Seed and Pine and Prospect Home both sell their art as prints through some site. I can't remember what the site is called. Miss Mustard Seed has a blog. Pine and Prospect Home has a TH-cam Channel and a blog. I'm sure you can find links on their sites. They both paint gorgeous landscapes. I love mismatched chairs. I found Windsor chairs but I did paint them black. I used Ginger Chic Rehab's tutorial. Your table looks great and I love the direction of your dining room. I love seeing your decorating process. We bought a second home last year so I understand that it's different than moving because you need a house full of everything.

Julie, the spindle chairs 🪑🪑🪑🪑and the chandelier are magnificent‼️🥰 It will look so good painted golden bronze❣
*The well-loved kitchen utensils will look amazing displayed in your kitchen. And yes, as others have commented, you've gotten yourself a wonderful little nut 🌰 chopper❣ DO NOT ATTEMPT to chop ANYTHING BUT NUTS in this piece - the teeth were not made strong enough for anything else but nuts. I own several of these nut choppers. You simply drop your pecans or walnuts into the top hopper and turn the crank and your chopped nuts fall into the jar below. 🤪 You can run the nuts through twice if you want very finely chopped nuts. Great for topping ice cream, cakes 🎂 - and a FABULOUS TOOL for making COOKIES 🍪 - ESPECIALLY RUSSIAN TEA CAKES - for those special occasions❣🥰 They are even safe for kids to use, if supervised.* 😁🙄🤣🍪

Love the chairs so far!! I like the idea of higher backed chairs at the ends. I absolutely love the look of wing chairs at the ends. Possibly in sea grass or wicker? Can't wait to see what you finally decide on 😊
