Now that i think about it utr right
Wang TECHNICALLY completed his given objective, so Zilla can't really be mad at him.
This looks like a big improvement over the second game. Turning the second game into the weird hybrid looter shooter really made the enemies feel like bullet sponges. In this I like how the enemies react to getting hit and impact the guns have. That's one of my favorite things about the recent Wolfentstein and Doom games is that the guns really feel like they have weight to them both when you shoot them and when they hit the enemies.
This ^^
strangely enough, the sword blows seem to have zero weight or impact. hope that gets improved.
SW2 was the best.
I also noticed a glory kill like feature thats gonna be interesting
I remember playing through Shadow Warrior 2 on normal... or maybe hard.
But i never had any issue with bullet sponges.
But it might have had something to do with my ample use of melee, backstabs, power strikes and parries that could all potentially cause instakill damage to anything short of an elite, and it put the hurt on those as well.
Things that i noticed:
1)seems like "quick-sword" from 1st game is back, but you can actualy swing that thing, or you can switch from gun to melee ultra fast.
2)shotgun can shoot at least 7 times, while visible having 4 shells. So i may sugest that weapon upgrade's from 2nd game returns, and probably it means that enemies will drop a ton of upgrades, although i didn't seen any stats (poisoned, electric, fire, ice)
3) It was clever to put "power-up's" into enemies, give's a room for strategic killing.
4) Movement is improved from 2nd game which is good, Lo Wang always was a modern-day ninja, so a bit of parkour suits him.
Super hyped for 3rd game, i only hope that it have as much weapon variety as 2nd game and game being a masterpiece.
I agree!!! as much as I loved the 1st game, the 2nd game is better in almost every way (except for the story, which the 1st game has it beat), as the gem/orb upgrades allows players to upgrade their stats to ridiculous levels, even on the hardest setting.
4:00 That Shotgun looks like it holds 4 shels, but shoots 9 times before reload.
Also looks less interesting than Quad shotgun from SW1
@@SinaelDOverom Nah, i dig the design, although in 1st game, quad shotty looked like "Riot shotgun" from OG Shadow warrior, and that thing was indeed the beast.
@@ИгорьДушкин-ш1к The Riot Shotty from OG SW was belt fed auto, while Quad was break action, case ejection animation was really cool (especially with 4 barrel blast) and state of each barrel was indicated by the separate hamers.
It was amazing in the sense that it combined cool looking and functions with (moderate) plausability of an IRL gun - something akin DP12 shotgun
This is the first time in a long while that I am honestly stoked for a games release.

Waaaait a minute. Are Wang and Zilla aging ? Wang's slowly gonna resemble his olde school self soon enough.
@DAVID XM Idk why people keep saying he looks younger. He's currently much younger than 1997 Wang for sure, but SW3 wang looks so much older than SW2 and SW1 Wang. Maybe it's because in the promo art for SW1 he looked a lot older than he did in-game.
@DAVID XM care to share the source?
@DAVID XM source now boy
I'd just say he looks like he's having a mid-life crisis for losing his homeland to the Icon of Asia.
@DAVID XM no, he doesn't.
There is a interview in PCGamesN where Pawel Kowalewski said (they're talking about 2013 version):
"When re-designing Lo Wang we made a conscious decision to update him as a younger, more switched on character that would be more appealing to today’s audience and shifted the humour more toward pop cultural references that Players can relate to, like movies and video games. Humour is an integral part of the series, and we never want to lose that, but both we and Devolver agreed back in 2012 that much of the “humour” in the original game simply doesn’t belong in the games we make today."
He also said:
"Well, to be accurate Shadow Warrior 2 ended with a “cut to black” the moment the dragon was about to attack, so we can’t be 100% sure that Lo Wang was in fact swallowed by the creature, right? Shadow Warrior 3 will certainly answer this question."
So maybe he wasn't swallowed by the dragon at all, nor even more younger because of it.
If someone wants [some wang] to see the full interview, just google "Shadow Warrior 3 has a dedicated katana button" and click on PCGamesN website.
There is another one in SCREENRANT's website, called "Paweł Kowalewski Interview: Shadow Warrior 3"
My sword is ready 🗡 but my WANG IS HARDER FOR MORE! I can’t wait to buy this game!
so cant i,only knew of franchise existence for steam throwing sw2 in my face each time it is on discount but other than that i had no clue.the name of that game alongside with how the 2 number was written kinda smelled like beeing rather an indie cheap boring gam play game, mocking ubi for not having a 3D game set in this kind of a country yet :) but when i saw those 2 trailers for sw3 i knew i have to own this upcoming one.
Sword? I mean gameplay looks dope as fuck but it looks like they are doubling down on guns as 90% of this gameplay was using these instead of melee combat with a sword. I hope its not like that in a full game cause both previous games had pretty big emphasis on melee combat and thats one of main reasons why I loved these games - without that these are just another first person shooters that ive played many.

@@vinniv6806 nope, he still was up to conquer the world crap as he was in the first one lol - HE IS THE REASON DRAGON OF THE THIRD GAME IS UP TO CONSUME THE WORLD.
In Lo Wang's defense, he *really* tried his best to get rid of Zilla, specially in SW1, but circumstance and bad luck has kept him alive long enough for him to become useful enough to not be worth killing, and once the problem is solved, he just runs for the hills again, with Lo Wang unable to find him until he loops back into being useful.
He may be old, but Zilla ain't dumb, he knows how to play Lo Wang.
Also if my theory is correct, he's got plot armor until the new games connect with Shadow Warrior classic, I swear to God, this is gonna end with Lo Wang old, bald and hiding a nuclear device inside a painting in his new dojo or something.

" So, what are you going to improve in SW3? The violence, the mobility, Lo Wang talking smack, the graphics?"
Devs: "Yes."
By what I saw, I can say that the game has only gotten better, finally pleased with the normal videos with dialogues, the camera now moves more cinematic than in the previous parts, the animation is at a high level. Gameplay innovations are definitely not superfluous here, it has become more interesting to play and kill new enemies. Thanks a lot for the subtitles. Although it looks like a future AAA project, I would like to see the price not as biting as in most of today's games ~ $ 30, the series SW has always been friendly to the players in terms of price, but even if the price is high, it deservedly matches such a game.
looking forward to your game
Ah the era of Doom clones is returning, now all we need is a good Duke Nukem game and someone kind enough to revive Blood.
Not really shadow warrior 2 had this kind of gameplay if anything doom copied them
@@locus1419Its a joke dude, but if you want to get technical, Marathon and Strife made different things that really set them apart from Doom 1 and 2, yet they were still considered Doom clones.
@@Criegrrunov haven’t hear of those game what are they about im instead now
@@locus1419 Google them lmao, but in a nutshell: Marathon is basically Halo 0, its a trilogy about an alien invasion, it aimed to be somewhat of a horror/suspense game, it had many lore and plot details scattered in terminals and such; Strife was a futuristic FPS RPG game that actually used the doom engine, it had voiced dialogue, level ups and everything, non enemy NPCs, you could even use stealth.
I personally don't recommend them now, specially since Halo 1 is basically what the Marathon trilogy wanted to do but way better (Halo 2 onwards feel vastly different from Halo 1/Marathon imo), and Strife can get to be one of those "Where the fuck do I go" games, not to mention boring at times, but if you liked the original Shadow Warrior, I would recommend you take a look if interested.
Damn, if you like the classic Doom I would recommend you to take a look at Samsara mod and the Extra Heroes addon for the mod, it is like Smash Bros but for 90's FPS games, I learned a lot about old FPS games just by being active in Zandronum servers, really recommend it.
A good Duke Nukem game ...
The gameplay loop looks insanely fun! I just hope there aren't too many cutscenes interrupting it, but so far it looks amazing.
Cutscene are always entertaining for me and it can be skip too
I expect a lot of these cutscenes were made just for the trailer.
@@spurdomies546 Yeah they probably just tossed them all in here to show off the new stuff.
3:27 I'm getting some strong Bulletstorm vibes from that segment.
I hope there's more stuff like that
Edit: There sure is. Grappling hook + kinetic push/kick combo surely bring even more Bulletstorm memories.
what i saw was eternal´s grappling hook and rage 2´s nanotrite powers (alongside the push there is also a ground slam etc)
@@r3l1csvk This looks (and feels) nothing like the hook in Eternal
@@jacplac97 to me it does.sure you can´t throw yourself towards enemy by hooking to it,but it still helps you traverse the map.i mean in serious sam 4 you get a hook for a brief moment and only to "climb" a giant boss being yet to me it still felt like playing doom...a bit.

@Jordan Montgomery but here's the thing, i really think they will comeback and specially tks to guys like Cyvvie11 bringing them back to the new generation
@Jordan Montgomery Bullshit. The two new Doom titles have been some of the most popular this generation. There's a market for games like these, companies just need to capitalize on them.
@@vladtheimpalerofyourmum258 The new Doom titles are actually LIKE the original game, or at least they still have the spirit of the original. They have the oldschool formula still, just beefed up a lot. The story's a bit different with Shadow Warrior, this is an entirely different game from the original in gameplay, scenery, enemies, story, everything. I don't trust any company besides the one developing Doom to actually make a faithful remake of an oldschool shooter. Up until the release of SW3, Doom Eternal will be closer to SW1997 in combat than any of the SW remakes ever released.
So if I were you I'd be glad your favorite games have been untouched for now, they'll probably change them in ways you won't want if you liked the original games
@@mow_cat I've played the original Shadow Warrior and I have no idea what you're on about. The only point you make that I'm willing to concede is that the enemies are different. It has a new story? Shocking. Wasn't expecting that. Scenery? Shadow Warrior was always just a parody of Eastern locations from Western movies. We don't have the full game yet but I think they nailed the feel so far. Gameplay looks like it was directly inspired from Doom, something it also has in common with the original.
Back to /v/ with your blind fanboyism and cynicism.
@@vladtheimpalerofyourmum258 As for scenery and theme, SW1997 was an old gritty bad kung-fu movie, and the environments and enemies reflected that well. Think **"Big Trouble Little China"** vibes but with more of an emphasis on muscular demons. Wasn't futuristic at all, hell there was barely even magic (though there was a lot of magic in the alphas and betas). And it wasn't so cheesy and Wang wasn't Deadpool. Wang was a friggin chad, his pecs hard as concrete and 50% of his arsenal is explosive as hecc. Keeps a nuke in a secret area behind a painting in his dojo. He's basically Asian terminator with personality. The yakuza fear him. He is the legendary Shadow Warrior.
He worked as a corporate shogun for Zilla enterprises. Zilla enterprises owned literally everything in Japan, big megacorporation. Wang turned on Zilla when he started summoning demons from the dark side. Zilla summons these demons is to replace Lo Wang and control the entire world. So Zilla sends his demons out to kill Lo Wang while Lo Wang tries to track down and kill Zilla (and he eventually does kill Zilla above the rooftops of Tokyo). Simple? Yes. Uninspired? Hell friggin no! Now I actually liked the story in SW2013. Wasn't quite the same, but it was actually really cool how they actually introduced the shadow realm and all that stuff. But SW2013 they literally just used it to get the 1997 timeline over with and throw it out so that they could just make whatever game they wanted to from now on. And SW2 really could've used a better story.
This game looks PERFECT!!!! Amazing job y'all, keep it up! Im running Shadow Warrior 2 now, can't wait for this one
