You must have had a great mentor teacher wow, to be this put together your first year. She must have been absolutely wonderful.
I've taught kinder, first, and second grade and not all kids can do criss cross...in our classes we have options for criss cross, mountain, or mermaid, and that seems to go well for different sitting options. Definitely choose your battles for sure. You are doing an amazing job! Looking forward to more vlogs!

No matter what grade level I've taught (1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th), they LOVE the melting brain break!
I have so much respect for you working with the Kindergarten Age Group. I worked with that Age Group for 2 Weeks and Quit. I couldn't do it. I don't have the patience nor the personality for that Age Group. That's a NEEDY AGE Group. I work with High School Kids teaching Business and Finance and in the Dual Enrollment Program as a Manager and I love it.
I am about to go back to school to study Early Learning and Child Care. I will be moving all the way to Canada this December. I'm so excited!

Totally feel ya with some of the mandatory curriculum for the littles... It can definitely be difficult to get through, especially once the behaviors start to come up. I remember feeling how I had so many unique ideas to get standards taught/mastered but felt a little more hopeless when I was expected to follow strict guidelines.
Your classroom is so cute! I love the desk fairy idea. Im in my observation and student teaching part of my degree and Im starting to get super nervous on if I will be able to do everything by myself every single day (lesson plan and attention span wise).
