Man I just bought a 4.8 with the same shot … I’m going to rebuild it cause atleast I know what I got and what needs done and not buying anyone’s used shot again even if it doesn’t sound bad lol … mine I didn’t get to hear it but was told it ran lol but it was only 100 so my heads has bent valves in every other head and cam bearings are gone like fell out when the cam pulled out … what to do ?
If you're rebuilding the engine, replacing the cam bearings is a smart choice anyways. I will probably just hone the cylinders on my block, but will change the cam bearings to be sure I don't have a problem later on.

@@RebeldryversGarage lol scrap mine lol the bearing journal is so bad that the block is crap I’m so mad 350 bucks for a boat anchor
