    The Infinity E1X Series Seat, While it might not be the most budget-friendly option, the comfort it delivers makes it a worthwhile investment. Why spend a small fortune on your Bikepacking setup only to experience discomfort after a 40km ride? This is why I bought the Infinity Bike Seat. I personally enjoyed pure comfort from day one, didn't need padding shorts by the second day, and had no use for chaffing cream by the third day, I just use talc. After four years of using it, it was for sure my best investment I wont ride without it. Love the gimbal as well.... I was looking at those just the other day! Thinking of a setup similar to yours (I already have a chest harness mount as well as handlebar & fork mounts)

      very true thats why soon as i arrive and camp i open up the sleeping bag . but also once every few months i wash the sleeping bag and put it in the dry with few tennis balls brings it back to life

    I think you're going for a particular look, and I get that. But if you were to get a bontrager rear rack you could tie down a 40 liter backpack on the back and put pretty much all of your gear in that. By having the backpack strap to the rear rack you won't really be sacrificing much of your minimalist look, and you won't have to put so much thought into how you pack things away

    • @Bikepacking
      @Bikepacking  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Zst Nn yeah but to go off trails this is better

    • @MsRotorwings
      @MsRotorwings 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zst Nn You’re right but then all of the weight is on the rear. Having bags mounted throughout your bike allows for a better weight distribution which means a more stable ride.

    • @Bikepacking
      @Bikepacking  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure bikepacking is more stable

      How do you pack your packraft to your bike ?

  • @robappleby583
    @robappleby583 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dude, get a rear rack. Blackburn make one. Put panniers on it. Ortlieb make them. Repeat for the front. Get a Carradice saddlebag or something similar. You'll end up with five bags and twice as much capacity. You'll be able to load/unload your bike in two minutes rather than struggling with lots of tiny bags. I know it's not hipster, but it works far better than what you have there.

    • @Bikepacking
      @Bikepacking  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      why I need twice as much capacity .. why i need pannier. pannier is so old fashion rattling breaks only take me 30 sec to pull out my gear why would want spend 2 mins my seat more comfortable why go for less comfort. this works fine specially on single track trails pannier wouldn't make it on the trails i go on and would need a steel bike which would be so heavy .. not my idea of a trip

    • @robappleby583
      @robappleby583 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bikepacking So you leave all your bags on your bike all the time? Even when you're in your tent? I wouldn't do it that way, but OK then. Don't know what it has to do with the seat. As for capacity, I see you have so many bags, all stuffed full, it looks like capacity is an issue for you.
      BTW - my Ortlieb bags are over twenty years old, have been used all that time for shopping, load carrying and on/offroad riding and touring, and absolutely nothing has ever broken. Nor do they rattle.
      But it's all up to you , obviously. Good luck.

    why do you choose fat bike wheels / tires? isnt it even more of a bitch going up any hills? Looks damn cool though!

    • @Bikepacking
      @Bikepacking  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I watched a lot of bicycle touring videos before i decided on fat bike , seen so many people pushing there bike through the mud or sand or walking there bike through the snow .... with these tires i can ride over anything and being carbon wheels and frame the bike is extreme light . my bike is only 10 kgs with gear the bike coming in at 18kgs most touring bikes start at 18 kgs and with gear there well over 45 kgs .. so going up hill for me is easier than using traditional setup ....

      Solo Bikepacker cool mate! Sorry i didnt get the weight conclusion what's exactly. total weight of ur bike in kgs? And separately the bike and gear? Also how much did the bike cost a d then all the luggage that when on it?
