    Just installed this. I upgraded to a radio with wireless CarPlay and it’s so smooth that plugging in to charge became annoying. Thanks. 🙏🏼

    You don’t have to remove the shifter. You can just put the car on reverse while holding the brake, and undo the tray around the shifter knob (there plenty of cable underneath to lift this so it won’t be an issue to the car) and you will have enough space to pull out the charging tray… you can then put the car in park again and install everything. To close it all, just put the car back in reverse to allow space to clip everything back. This way it’s much faster and simpler. The hardest thing is just the 12V plug because it’s very tight to remove out of the OEM one, once you do, everything else is extremely easy.

    • @nazarettos6987

      In the manual it says wireless charger at 9v/1.1A. I have Samsung S10Plus big phone and it charges pretty fast.

  • @Chitown388
    @Chitown388 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it safe to assume that if your phone is being charged wirelessly, the Android Auto or Apple Carplay is not accessible?

    • @nazarettos6987
      @nazarettos6987  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why wouldn't it be accessible? Its just?a wireless charger,Toyota has them in higher trim models and everything works.

    • @Chitown388
      @Chitown388 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the lower trims RAV4 (like LE and XLE) only have Android Auto or Apple Carplay via a wired connection to the USB port.
      If you are charging wirelessly, you are not connecting to the USB port, so no Android Auto or Apple Carplay.
      It seems that unless the wireless charging connection is also behaving like a USB wire connection, I don't expect Android AUto or Apple Carplay from through that wired connection.

  • @Beavis1

    Has anyone installed one of these and had their airbag malfunction? I'm now getting an SRS System Airbag Malfunction notification on my dash and after taking it to the dealer, they blamed it on this. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this?

    • @nazarettos6987
      @nazarettos6987  ปีที่แล้ว

      This has nothing to do with SRS system. It just connects to USB power. As you can see in the video. Check your seatbelt buckles, and check connects under the seat, it happened on my Honda that SRS malfunction. Also as you see data usb port is the same, so no this can not cause any SRS multifunctions at all. If and only if it cause problem that would be fuse if overpowered. Check under driver sea yellow connector and gray, disconnect battery terminals and reconnect those connectors under the seat. You probably had something under the seat that cause one of those connectors to be loose.

      @@nazarettos6987 Thank you for the reply. I was thinking the same thing, but when I took it in to the dealership, they are claiming that the issue is due to the aftermarket charger and therefore they want to charge me for it. I was just curious if anyone else has run into this. I have a 2021 RAV4 and I've tried wiggling the wires under the seats, etc. and it still won't go away.
