- Sengenya a Kiswahili word which means gossiping. This dance evolved from Tsikitsi dance thats its at the edge of extinction among the Digo Tribe within the Mijikenda People. Out of gossiping between the two brothers Mwajasi and Bweta same mother different fathers one from Digo tribe and other from Duruma tribe. Mwajasi who's father was from the Duruma tribe the resolution of the gossiping was the Sengenya dance/musical genre.
