Thank you very much for these very informative three-part tutorials. Please a question: I have been surfing for 18 months, and to improve I started surfskating 15 days ago with an instructor. I have no balance problem, the speed generation and turns are still dismal. Is the Smoothstar suitable for me? I weigh 72 kg for 1m 72 cm. I have to take the 32 or 34 inches to be comfortable. thank you very much for your feedback. I am 63 and a half years old. you are great on the board..

Yew! Stoked you found these tutorials useful! Yes the smoothstar is suitable for anyone and everyone no matter your age or surfing experience, it's all about having a go and having fun! With your height and weight you can get away with either board, generally when people are tossing up between the 34 and 32, and are around your height, I say it comes down to the type of skating they want to do. the 32 is lighter, so it's easier to whip around and get more radical and in that case, in contrast, the 34" will be better for bowls. So for you, as you're just starting out, either board is going to provide a solid foundation to improve those fundamental skills and mechanics so you can transfer over to surfing. So I guess the main point of difference for you would be your stance. If you tend to have a wider stance and prefer more surface area then go for the 34, if not, you'll be fine to opt for the 32. The difference between the two will be very minor and they both perform the same, so you'll be able to improve your skills no matter what board you choose. Hope this helps YEW!

I like the explanation in these three videos but the background music is annoyingly loud.
