For some reason when you said, "I love you dude" it felt like you were talking to me and I needed that. Thanks. Gonna be picking up some Nixies too. You're fuckin dope dude. Love you man. Hope you are well.
can you please do a setup video. Curious to see how you have your mic setup tom pick up the keyboard so we’ll! I saw your link where you list what you use but would love to see how it all looks!
I'm still new in keyboard building. Can someone please explain how the gummy o-ring mount works? It seems like you just push the plate and pcb into the case, but surely it has to rest on something? Are the sides tapered inwards a little bit, or is there a ledge the o-ring rests on? Love how that board turn out BTW
So basically the edges of the inside of the board have a stopping point built in and when you insert the oring it basically stops theres while isolating the enitre plate PCB combo. Giving it a really nice isolated and (depending on the oring duro) typing experience.
Can you please explain what advantage this has over a Bakeneko in terms of Typing feel and sound? With the o-ring mounting style being used in stuff like the January as well, do you find that the feel varies with boards which use gummy o ring?
The Bakeneko doesnt feel as premium, but some o ring mounted boards like the bakeneko suffer from some metallic or hollow spots. and yes it definitely varies sound wise but most of the typing experience is the same.
Bakeneko is quite pingy and hollow because it doesn't have a fat weight like the Unikorn. They are similar in that they are O ring mounted 60%'s, but totally different in sound and quality
love how this turned out!!
yo what do you think of the state apex is in now

the caustic themed unikorn is just unreal
Kandyrew got a Unikorn…
It’s a KandyKorn 😮
One of the best sounding boards I've heard
I love my Serika 2s. It looks incredible on that Korn though, so much better than my board.
Oh no way, that's just unfair ;_; Literally my dream Korn, great stuff Alex!
is this where his nixie addiction began?
a nice balance between warm scratch and loud alu
This keyboard is best sounding? What about the Am compact?
caustic-themed unikorn goes hard af
One of these days I will own this keyboard
Wao this keyboard sounds amazing.
the batch of nixie i had have stem binding especially when pressed off center, do you experience that?
Man highkey missed the opportunity to call this the Kandy Korn instead of the Toxic Unikorn. Smh Kandy, you could've trademarked it and everything
scratchy clack reigns supreme 🏆
Whats your opinion on the best plate to pair with bcp, alu, fr4 or cf? Thank you my bro alex
Still waiting for you try Merisi boards... hopefully you get a chance
hi Alex did you spring swap the Nixies? im not sure if they feel really heavy with the stock spring (80g bottom out)

@@alexotos Thanks man! I've really been enjoying your videos lately, the vibe is just so nice!
Nice way to FLEX Alex 🤣
Love it!
Why you flip the spacebar?
Someone redeemed it in the stream!
Hey Alex as this board is going on GB this month should I wait for it or should I get the Matrix Corsa?
It was a private gb. The "normal" unikorn raffle is... I think I a few days/weeks? And it's a raffle by the way

@@alexotos Is the typing experience better than something like an ordinary high end gasket mount?
@@chendusingh youre comparing mounting styles, just get whatever feels better to you

The V key is triggering my OCD align it.
Do you spring swap your vint blacks?
What table is that? It looks great, and it looks huge.
Don’t quote me, but I think it’s the IKEA “EKBACKEN” countertop in light grey concrete

jk
2 korns!!!
How much does a board like that cost? Absolutely amazing
i think the new round should be 450$ but youll have to pay 1500-2000 on the after market
@@Tsusei_ yikessssss
Sheeeeeeesh
Love this board but the Unikorn in a copper/pinkish color would’ve made this look even better!
They are a real cheap buy on the aftermarket, should be able to pick one up for x4 times the retail.
NOT!
