Investment Portfolio Reveal: P1MILLION in BPI Funds... 5-YR Performance Update!

  • This video has taken me years to put together: I'm finally revealing my investment portfolio in BPI Investments worth over 1 Million Pesos! It's taken me a while to do this for a number of reasons. First, I do still consider myself as a very private person. Even as I'd put together this TH-cam channel during the pandemic and revealing quite a bit about myself, I still don't consider my life as an open book. Second, this 1 Million Peso portfolio reveal has literally taken me years to save up and having invested for 5 to 6 years now, I am able to share if the mutual funds and UITFs that I've invested in have been worthwhile simply by showing their performance. The numbers don't lie! I've often talked about available investment apps and different funds that are available here in the Philippines. My reviews typically cover performance in terms of historical figures based on prospectuses and a little update based on the few months that I've invested in them. In today's video, I'm taking into account the number of years that I've had this portfolio. I'm not talking about historical performance based on how these investments have fared for others but I'm sharing MY ACTUAL RETURNS -- both gains and losses! These investments are nobody else's but my own -- of course with the expert help of BPI AMTG/Wealth Managers. How much have my 1 Million Pesos worth of investments fared in the last 5 years? Watch on to see if my investments have been worthwhile.

    It's best to put everything to BPI US Equity Index Feeder Fund. S&P 500 keeps on going up even if US Economy is bad what more during good times unlike the PSEi.

      Is it USD or PHP you recommend?

    • @ZiggingbyMarkSigg
      @ZiggingbyMarkSigg  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      USD has the potential for currency appreciation. Also possible to lose to if Peso weakens against the dollar. If you're earning via USD, USD would be good. Otherwise, there's the additional hassle of converting your PHP into USD.

    The decline in our economy and underperforming stock market over the past six years can be attributed to the election of leaders who have proven to be ineffective in steering our nation towards prosperity. Just half a decade ago, we stood as a burgeoning economic powerhouse, but today, we find ourselves regrettably characterized as the underperforming entity in Asia.
    The deterioration of our economic standing can largely be traced to a leadership vacuum where competence and vision were lacking. The decisions made by these elected officials, or rather the lack thereof, have contributed to the erosion of our economic prowess. What was once a promising ascent in our economic trajectory has now been replaced by a disheartening descent.
    Effective government policies play a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and stability. To ensure the prosperity of our nation, it is imperative that we choose leaders who possess the competence and vision to craft and implement these policies efficiently.

    Hi Mark. Do you get dividends if you invest in the US Equity Feeder Fund? If you were to choose, which would you prefer - investing via BPI US Equity Feeder Fund or directly in S&P 500? What are the advantages and disadvantages of investing between the two? Lastly, do you receive any documentation from BPI about your investment? I'm torn kung eToro, GoTrade and BPI yung pipillin ko na platform and I prefer to invest in BPI since may physical offices sila. Thanks a lot!

    • @ZiggingbyMarkSigg
      @ZiggingbyMarkSigg  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No dividends. I prefer investing in a UITF feeder fund tracking the S&P 500 offered by local banks. You can get a bank certificate that includes your investments. Pros and cons shared throughout some of my videos

    Do you invest directly sa S&P 500? You think it's worth it (considering the fees) or just stick sa PSE na lang?
    Also i'm not sure if you already have a video about it, but what vehicles do you use specifically for retirement fund?

    Hi sir, are you a BPI Preferred client, too? I believe nasa P1M+ din kasi TRB nila (deposits + investments). Would be great to have your insights din po into priority banking. Thank you!

    • @ZiggingbyMarkSigg
      @ZiggingbyMarkSigg  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. Yes I'm a Preferred client. TBH though, I don't feel its perks too much 😅 maybe I just don't go to the branches much! But even branch transactions not in the teller line is still such a long queue for me 🤣 maybe I haven't been properly oriented, but I feel very little perks, if any. I don't even know the name of my Relationship Manager, which the BPI Preferred website tells me I'd have one
