@@DimmyV definitely interested in another video for your best indoor tips like you mentioned- Ill keep an eye out!
@@AeroLind all in time. Just checking things off the list as I go 🍻
I've only done one manual mode flight so far, but I was a wimp and left the attitude limit turned on. I quickly became very comfortable with throttle management and went from flying at 200 feet to doing laps around my neighborhood street at about 30 feet. It was a very positive first experience, though the attitude limit became frustrating as I wasn't able to fly at anywhere close to full speed (I think sport mode is faster than M mode with attitude limit on), and I wasn't able to do real deep-banked turns like I'm used to doing in the simulator. The weather is bad now, but I'm hoping to try "true" full manual mode with the attitude limit off in the next few days. I've spent enough time in the sim that I'm pretty sure I'll be able to fly manual without crashing immediately. Lol
Practice makes perfect and crashing is inevitable happens to the best of pilots. Keep at it 👏🏼🙌🏼🎮
If you do a pinch style with fingers and thumbs your middle finger on your left hand can rest on or near that pause button for emergency braking. On the FPV 3 the pause button is basically L1 or LB on a gaming controller.
I'm trying to enforce proper braking by pitching back so I learn how to fly drones that don't have a stop button, so I haven't used it yet. But it's really nice to have and could save you a drone or a care refresh use.
@silverfox74 100% I had like 30 hours on the sim and A few weeks of Tinyhawk flying before I got the A2.
Real world flight is just different physics to begin with. But once I took off in real life I got the shakes pretty quickly. I've been slow and steady around the yard while I gradually get that under control 😂
Yeah the pause/brake button is a life saver!
I place my finger outside of the Motion Control trigger to maintain steady acceleration. It seems easier to maintain pressure and keep consistent speed when readjusting your grip.
I tend to just use the RC3 as it’s more fun to fly.
Great video, really enjoyed and it was really informative
Glad to hear it!
Nice explanation 👍🏻
Thanks 🍻
great video - thanks. Question about simulator. DRL runs on my Mac as I saw but HOW DID YOU SETUP the AVATA2 with the RC3???? As I have no other FPV experience, I do not understand the needed setting. In uncrashed I was asked about props, motors, battery - no idea. Searching for weeks for a solution. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance
Page 7 of the manual, you hold down the power button for 5s on Goggles, then hold power button for 5s on RC3. They will start beeping. When beeping stops it should connect.
@@DimmyV I guess you missunderstood me - sorry. I know how to synch them and I am flying the AVATA2, but my question was about the settings in the simulator
@@PedroHofmann my bad, Im not sure about uncrushed. Normally I would just pick a default drone to play in the same with. I would check other TH-camrs videos maybe a how to get started or setup video. You would need to calibrate the RC3 to be able to use in sim. I do this with TRYPFPV
Love these videos… these are my starting guide for my new hour e with this drone.
Appreciate it, this is what the series of videos was designed for 🍻
Wow, will be a while until I get even close to this level. Just got it and unboxing in the morning (after wife’s off to work! LOL) Thanks!
😂 nice 🎮
Great video thank you!! I have the MC and RC3 but found I could orbit much easier with the RC3, but you just adjusted the lateral speed so maybe that's what the problem was??
Yeah adjusting the speed fixed that issue.
@@DimmyV thank you! I use my RC3 to orbit but will give this a go now with the MC.
Can you adjust the rates in beginner mode ?
When you say beginner mode do you mean normal and sport? Or manual mode with horizon lock?
@@DimmyV i meant in beginner mode like the mode it lets you fly out of the box . But i figured it out and it doesn’t but thanks for the fast response great videos
@caelixthedesigner6656 ahhh ok thanks for clarifying. Glad you were able to resolve. And appreciate it 🍻
When flying with the controller is there a way to move the gimbal up and down on the Avata two. Haven’t figured that one out yet.
There’s a dial underneath the pause button to adjust the angle. I can cover this in a short.
which one is better pls
Each has its purpose. I personally like to fly manual but I’ll use normal or sport if I have to shoot something specific.
How do you go from normal to sport with the motion controller?
There is a button below the joystick that will switch between Normal and Sport
@DimmyV Got it thanks! LoL
It’s right in the tutorial. Take some time and go through it before flying it.
For orbiting with the MC what speeds do you recommend please? I can orbit with the RC3 but find it almost impossible with the MC.
Oooo I can’t remember I think it’s was 7-10mph. I would start low and if it’s still not enough increase a little more until you find sweet spot.
@@DimmyV Thanks! Looking back at your video think you had around 8mph but will test different speeds. Thank you again!
I can't go into sport mode. The button doesn't work .. any fixes?
Not sure, have you togged the mode selector on RC3? Or as you using motion controller?
Can we get a dive shot using a motion controller?
Unfortunately you cannot dive with the motion controller.
@@DimmyV Thank you Dimmy.
Hi Demetrios, quick question. I've heard about Avata 2 altitude hold mode which is especially useful for indoor. Allegedly, it prevents bobbing up and down. Is it true, that Avata 2 really has that option?
Hi 👋🏼 it’s on automatically there’s no off button. Theres a couple of sensors at the bottom hence when you go in low light areas they cannot perform their function and can’t hold altitude.
@@DimmyV Got it. Thanks for the quick reply. Looking forward to your next vid :-)
Do you know if you can tune the other modes besides manual with the FPV controller like you can with the motion controller?
When you say tune do you mean adjust the speeds? Thats in the video.
@@DimmyV I’ll have to watch it again. I thought the fpv controller only allowed the manual mode to be tuned
@@TobyRussell You can tune the Motion Controller, adjusting the speeds, RC3 is rates in degrees.
@@DimmyV yes but only in manual mode right? You can’t adjust the normal mode of the RC3?
Excellent Demetrios. I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal.
🙏🏼
I saw a really cool video. 👍❤
What’s the app for virtual flight for the avata 2 goggles 3
I think it's built into the DJI store app. No idea why, I wish we had it built into the goggles
I hit like 65mph in manual mode. I've seen a few videos of people hitting 80 with some more help from the wind.
I'm keeping an eye out for good conditions to hit 80 myself if I'm lucky! Just waiting for the right conditions!
Yeah I’ve seen Potato Jet hit 80 but with a strong tail wind!
Wait so EU the drone will be speed limited in manual mode?
@RelaxSimmer unfortunately in order to meet regulations to be C1 drone.
i got a couple drones in Toronto too, maybe one day they will fly by eachother
When I visit Toronto again then I'll be down!
Very nice video. I Liked. Have a nice day.
Appreciate it. Have a great day too ☀️🙌🏼
good job
Thank you 🍻
i wish i could buy one here in japan... flying inside a park over people would be "sayonara" drone + fine.
The rules really strict ?
No sound
Unfortunately
i rhink i will stay away from manual for a couple of months or years....
Practice in the sim, you can be flying in no time if you put the hours in 🙌🏼
@@DimmyV i will give that a shot, if i order the joysticks :) !! thank you though.
Great video and thanks for sharing the info - you have a new subscriber
