How does the Avata 2 handle magnetic interference indoors? In a house/apartment, I imagine that that there would be a lot of magnetic interference from the wiring and structural system of the building. I'm considering purchasing a drone to do video work in an ice rink, and that control issue is a big concern of mine. Thanks!
I didn’t experience any such interference indoors. I’ve seen this message pop up on my DJI Air 3 and Air 3S when in the mountains or near a metal object but I tend to just bring drone back when that happens.
Hi everyone, I have a question regarding my DJI Avata. I’m trying to use 4K at 60 fps with the ultra wide lens and HorizonSteady, but it seems like these settings are not compatible. Does anyone know why the DJI Avata restricts certain stabilization modes with specific resolutions and lenses? Is there any way to bypass these limitations or any recommended solutions? Additionally, what would be the best settings you would recommend for filming interiors of real estate properties? Any tips for achieving the best quality footage indoors? Thanks for your help!
There’s no HorizonSteady only RockSteady. Check out my video modes video as I cover when you can turn it off and use gyroflow instead. As for filming indoors do several passes with slight adjustments to settings then you can pick the best one.
You can straife with the motion controller with the thumb joystick but it's very slow. Head tracking also adds a lot to what you can do as far as mimicking normal drone movements and it also does things you can't do with a normal drone. You can turn on horizon steady instead of EIS, and it keeps the drone locked to the horizon, it needs to be in 16:9 for this option to show up. Even at 200 ft in high wind today it made a huge difference. It takes care of the stability issue you were talking about indoors 100% I build my own drones and I hated the way it flew with the FPV controller 2, prefer the the motion controller, I'd just rather fly one of my DIY drones if I want a normal radio. The low light situation is the biggest drawback IMO, I was flying around my house, I flew into a dimly lit bedroom, and it drifted into a wall, freaked out and disarmed, dropping to the floor *edit I have been made aware you can speed up roll by changing the rates
@maritimevirtualtoursinc.5057 it’s been a while since I shot at night but Air 3 1600 was fine. I made a low light video on the Avata 2. th-cam.com/video/O5ETuMtqm7Q/w-d-xo.html
Hi there, thanks for this video, very good comparison. What i would like to ask is can you share the Gain & Expo Settings for Remote Controller 3 for a smooth and slow flight like you do? I mean Center Sensitivity, Max Rate and Expo settings. Thanks.
I used the stock settings for manual mode and adjust my flying according to it. This is a good idea to start before adjusting settings to improve flying. However if you find it too responsive I would reduce the rate gradually until you find a sweet spot. I haven’t got a preference yet. Something I can look into for a future video. 🍻
Obviously the whoop reacted better indoors in low light because the filming and flight are autonomous. The Avata2 is for beginners to learn fpv not to compete with ciniwhoops. Comparing apples to oranges in some ways. It's nice to see that the Avata2 can be used inside. Would beginner mode sped up work for inside? Cheers!
Hi!! Could you upload a specific video for low light, 0GPS, normal mode? Also, do you think there will be enough light for the sensors not to lose track in a bar at night, considering there will be some people? Thanks!

@@DimmyVim asking because it seems that you lost complete control of the drone at 17:30 when there was no GPS/Vision. What would you buy now for video tours inside to out on construction & real estate?
This will depend on the space, if it's a really small space then a small Cinewhoop would be fine. If you have more room the Cinebot 30 should be fine. Just flying through a small section of a dark hall. I suppose with practice and controls, you can get the look you want, but the low light is kind of the Achilles heel, and the low light noise is pretty bad. Had to beat the battery life, ease of use, and reliability of the avata 2, though. I think that stuff makes up for the shortcomings, plus you can use it for other stuff and fly around outside for fun. But, I mean, obviously a specialized tool is going to perform better in it's specialty, if you always wanna have the best tool for every single job.
With my avata 1 i can fly pitch black area with no issue, slalom around people on extremely low light condition. With my avata2 same condition the drone go autocrazy mode full throttle a pure danger if there is people around, take a drone at 60km in your face th story can end very badly. What the point to put better sensors to have a missile who can go crazy at everytime "low light warning"?? Ive got hundreds of hours at night with my avata 1, never one issue. With the avata 2, start by an auto drift, then you have one solution to recover, to push full speed to an area with more light. If not it start by a drift, and after a collision the avata2 go full speed on every direction. This thing is a danger.

Also, my avata freaks out in low light. I've had it started drifting, and then move wrong when I tried to recover, and it bumped into a wall and then tried to take off full Throttle and got stuck to the ceiling.
Who is you're beautiful assistant. She is doing a stellar of a job standing there looking good opening doors 🚁💯
Vickey was my assistant. She did great 🙌🏼
to stop motors u just duble tap right bottom button
Yeah I figured that out after cause it’s the same as when starting. Just got flustered during test.
7:17 what type of apartment is this. There is fire escape signs above your doors of the kitchen. Never seen that before
Actually makes the kitchen look as if it’s not your it’s a common shared room. Bizarre
It's a shared space not an apartment. An apartment would have been too small 😂
Right side looked better. Avata 2 was on the right.
Appreciate your input. What did you like about it?
@13:00 Avata on the left, but as others have said I liked the cinelog, also the less the quad weighs for tight spaces the less wind turbulence you'll have.
Bro. The Avata looks way better. However all of my indoor shots look like shit no matter what I do.
Interesting, why do you prefer the Avata 2? Appreciate your insights
@@DimmyV I like the Avata 2 because it appears more like my vision. But ive. been accused more than once that my vision is terrible.
@Roundawg there’s nothing wrong with your vision. It’s your preference and that’s what matters. Go with what you like. It’s ok for people to have different aesthetics 🙌🏼🍻
@@DimmyV I prefer to see phots and videos just like I experienced the real occurrence. I know that’s not popular but it’s what I like. I also know that’s why I’m not a photographer. Lol
